Nigerians have heard so many similar stories which turn out to a hoax, if it is true they kill the B.K. Commander, then they should post the picture of the dead man online as the Americans did during the killing of Osama bin Ladin. JTF good job but not well done. |

I think the husband may have his own reasons but in the real sense of it, the children should be made the next of kin. However that does give the wife the impetus to fight her husband because of this, all she can do is to get the husband family to get in involved if not it may boomerang. |

Rossikk: Foreign Consortium Plans $100 BILLION Investment In Nigeria
APRIL 24, 2013 BY IFEANYI ONUBA,
Punch Newspapers, ABUJA
The investment drive of the Federal Government has received a boost as a team of foreign investors has indicated their intention to invest $100bn (N15.8tn) in key sectors of the Nigeria economy.
This was disclosed by Chief Tony Hicks of Anita Energy Limited, when he led a 10-man delegation on a visit to the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Kingsley Moghalu.
A statement from the CBN on Tuesday stated that Hicks informed the CBN deputy governor that the purpose of the team’s visit was to bring massive investment that would add value to the transformation agenda of the Federal Government.
The key areas where the fund would be invested, he said, were oil and gas infrastructure, power generation, fast speed train, telecommunications and the establishment of a merchant bank.
He added that the investment would be done in partnership with APEC Logic Investment Limited, an Australian funding investment partner, and SINOPEC, one of the largest oil and gas corporations in China.
The statement further stated that Moghalu informed the delegation that foreign investment in Nigeria could only be meaningful if it addressed skills and infrastructural development.
He explained that the CBN had undertaken reforms of the banking sector to make it strong, resilient and able to serve the needs of the real economy.
This, he noted, was a total departure from the past where some individuals enriched themselves to the detriment of the economy.
Moghalu informed the team of investors that there was a confluence between the banking reforms and the desire of the investors to establish merchant banks expected to facilitate concrete investment in Nigeria.
This, he observed, would strengthen the relationship between the financial sector and real economy, adding that the CBN, as economic adviser to the government, had advocated structural reform of the economy.
He promised the delegation that the bank would provide the needed support to ensure that the planned investment bore fruits and process the banking licence application, provided the necessary requirements were met.
Moghalu reiterated that one of the four pillars of the banking reform was enhancing the quality of banks and financial stability through the creation of the Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria, which absorbed the toxic assets of Deposit Money Banks.
He observed that the banks now had a clean balance sheet and were able to lend to the economy again.

bebe2: Debunking The MYTH: Can A Human Being Really Be Used For Money Ritual??
nairaland is a great forum, i ve been addicted since i discovered it.
its helped me in several way including making business decisions and market research. there are lots of well educated and knowledgeable people here.
however, i dnt think they are doing as much as they can in helping a society that is stuck ridiculous beliefs and over hyped myths.
i all know the rate people get killed and butchered in this country,( i have had to remove some pple from my fb friend list becos of some horrible pics that they share. anyone remember the dead girls that had her breasts chopped of and her intestine were sicticking out of her belly. gave me nightmares for weeks) all in the name of making money from their body parts.
my point is, this is impossible!! if u say the internal e.g kidneys are sold for a high price that i believe BUT if u say that a person was used for ritual and that person is now stuck in a wardrobe vomiting 1000 naira bills with serial numbers that has the same qualitys that a genuine one from CBN habe then i say we have been watching too much nollywood.
over to u. Somebody like you should be liken to the doubting Thomas of the bible. Would you allow an herbalist to try or hit you on your body with a charm for you to know if it is real? If say yes, then contact me so i can try it on you, then thereafter you would know that this wild world you are in is not two but just one. How on earth would a sane person change her status from legitimate student to an Asylum seeker? To me there is something fishy there, because as a student you have some rights too to do some lot of things in U.K. My advise to her is to first of all return to Nigeria and file a case against her deportation. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Was The Sacrifice Of Jesus On The Cross That Big A Deal? by basadenet: 2:46pm On Apr 23, 2013 |
bolaino: It's a question that should be answered with utmost sincerity, with all honesty and with no religious bias (but I doubt my christian folks will be able to do that).
But let's examine the death of jesus, christians from time immemorial have given us the illusion that it was the greatest and noblest thing any man or God could have done for his people, by paying the ultimate price, ( giving up his life),
But I chose to disagree, in the case of jesus, he is said to be God, and he created all things, having this knowledge how would coming to earth and dying and going back to splendor a big deal? I know of people who have gone through a lot worse for no reward at all, not to talk about jesus, who is supposed to be the beginning and the end, this should have been like a walk in the park for him. But it was'nt, even knowing fully well that he was going to rise up again and be praised in heaven and on earth for all eternity, he was still scared, begging himself in heaven not to allow the whole thing happen.
Personally I would go through all jesus went through just to be given one billion dollars, I know of people who would go through same tin or even worse for less, did jesus suffer more than the slaves in america? Or did he suffer more than the people who were tortured and beaten to death, in places like cambodia, uganda, rwanda etc, the answer is No, so christians should stop saying how difficult it was for jesus to lay his life down for sinners. Are you an atheist(One who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods) or a real christian? which i doubt if are one. With this your submission and conclusion it shows clearly that you are a goddamn anti Christ, a pagan that never see anything good in what Our Lord Jesus Christ did. You urgently need a deliverance if not hell fire is sure for you. |
Family › Re: My True-Love Is Planning To Leave Me: Please Advise by basadenet: 12:41pm On Apr 22, 2013 |
keeked: Hello nairalanders, Hopefully I will get some useful advice from members.
I have been in an across the ocean relationship for almost three years now. It was going really really well for the first year or so... things started getting weird after. He would complain that I am getting too attached/I'm chocking him and I would complain that he is getting too withdrawn. He would say things have changed and that it's normal for the novelty of a new relationship to wear off after a while. (Is this even true?) ........ Things have gotten worse now. We can't go two days without having an argument. (Hyperbole) After a good number of the arguments, he would break up with me and I'd cry my eyes, begging him to come back. We make up, and cycle continues. In fact, he just broke up with me again a few days ago. He isn't even trying anymore. He hardly calls etc .
I really love this guy. My parents know him (and vice versa) and all that good stuff. I know this sounds pathetic but I can't see myself not being with him.
My questions for all are; is he seeing someone else? Is he taking advantage of my weakness (him)? What do I do to break free even if i want to? Is he staying out of pity?
If you have more questions to ask I'll be ready to answer, I didn't want to be too detailed to avoid a lengthy post. Are you writing a book? Is the guy married? have you had a broken relationship before? Are you d 2 timing type ? Are you the nagging type? If you do all this, then you may need to re adjust. |
