If that was a marketing strategy all it did was successfully put off people like me from listening to their music. They will have to re-brand themselves if they want a wider appeal. |
And I thought CD sales had tanked these days. |
^ Leave them Some people are just too head over heels with Craig Skyfall the best Bond movie indeed. ![]() |
EA just yesterday announced that the next game from the Battlefield franchise- Battlefield 4 will drop this autumn.
|
^ The disappointment was massive if you ask me. To me the movie was over-hyped and boring to death. Anyways the have made their millions so that's what is important to them. |
Afam4eva: But are they not supposed to even be paid for something like this? Are companies allowed to make caricatures of celebrities without paying? You have so drank the cool aid of the copyright association. Nobody should pay squat First prove that you own all cartoon images of yourself. In fact prove that, unless you had filed for some kind of copyright/trademark claim of your OWN images that this portrayal is some kind of violation. |
mavtrevor: @texazzpete dont sound so personal remember its an opinion and everyone is entitled to one, no time have i said there is no difference between the S4 and S3, like i said you are talking as a tech head, how will an average phone user be able to differentiate the difference btw the two? or is S4 meant for only tech heads like you? If my dad uses and S3 and now the S4 is here what noticeable difference do you think can justify him having to drop the S3 for an S4? and tomorrow an S5 will be here, i am only seeing it like these tech companies are exploiting the average ppl with their devices taking advantage that ppl will go fr it cos its in trend. How many S4 users are going for it cos its better than S3? most will of course cos its the "new phone" and it can do new things....is that enough to go for a phone for?Any S3 user who feels exploited because of the release of the S4 should have their head examined. |
Darthmaul: @33117Will you guys quit with that "in touch with reality" line abeg. How was Brosnan's Bond out of touch with reality? Was it just the use of fancy fictional gadgets that made his character unreal? All of a sudden suaveness, calm confidence and good looks are unreal? The argument fans of Daniel Craig have is that in Craig's portrayal of Bond the character is along the lines that Ian Flemming presented him, a gritty brutal hero. He is a more physical representation. What outstanding qualities does he bring to the table, he is low in the charms department and there is nothing groundbreaking about his dialogues. |
Are you guys aware that the new Windows Blue - the upgrade for Windows 8 - was recently leaked online? (http://www.engadget.com/2013/03/25/windows-blue-screenshot-tour/) |
Ossai famous: the name funny dieIts things like this that makes one wish there was a ministry of music in Nigeria. Is one supposed to say that name with a straight face? |

What really made me start laughing was the girl's laughter on that blog. Jim Iyke should be thoroughly ashamed of himself but I doubt he'll care after all isn't this the "progress" people speak off? |
I actually agree that Skyfall was a bummer, but you folks aren't helping your case with this erm, twisted english. Typing clear words will help a lot. |
Hahahahahah |
I just wished you guys typed in English like everyone else so we could all understand your posts. |
^ I'm telling you man. |
All the time - Jeremih ft Natasha Mosley and Lil Wayne. This is certainly not office music, more like bedroom ish ![]() |
mobf: Skyfall ; brilliantWe must all realize that a matter like this will remain highly subjective. People like myself will only shudder when Daniel Craig is ranked amongst the best Bond actors. |
Departure from NL? That's sad. Whats going on here really? |
Why the eff was the walk-through thread closed? ![]() |
Love me, Lil Wayne ft Future and Drake |
Did NTA actually show all these cartoons? The NTA I grew up watching only showed a few of those listed above, I watched the others on the K-TV and Cartoon Network of old |
VillageBoi: No problem. Me sef don carry babe go cinema come no concentrate on wetin dey happen. Skyfall was very well explained in the film... infact it's the name of the house where he grew up... where the 'end' became the new 'beginning'.That it was the name of the house he grew up in was clear. How and why Skyfall was the theme for the movie wasn't. Why drag the gay villain there to battle? Did the killing of this particular villain there mark a turning point in Bond's life other than perhaps the spot where M died? Why the reluctance to answer questions relating to Skyfall during his assessment at Mi6? (He had made it such a big deal by leaving the office when Skyfall was mentioned) If it was for mere symbolism as you suggest then where does the new beginning tie into the place? It was destroyed yes? That's all part of the reason I say the Skyfall subplot was not developed at all. |
semid4lyfe: Opinions are bound to differ on a thread like this but personally I loved Skyfall and I think the plot was believable and the flaws were minimal. There was nothing futuristic about Skyfall, that one was clear. Giving the franchise new direction is alright, lets just hope by new direction they won't turn Bond into an absolute bore. |
VillageBoi: Thank you OP, you got it spot on. Everyone here has the 'latest' phone but why are they not burning leaves to send 'smoke signals'? Because things CHANGE!! The old 'Cold-war spy-era' is gone... all now na computer warfare. There have been several Bond movies that didn't dwell on the cold war to be successful and interesting. Anyways It is clear that Skyfall is the best Bond movie OR one of the worst ever made depending on who one asks. There is no in-between. I belong to the camp of people who were unimpressed by it, we are the minority here. Personally I'll be skipping any future Bond movies starring Daniel Craig,(he has had his 3 Bond movies, I think his contract should have expired unless the producers think otherwise) I managed to tolerate his performance in his other Bond movies but Skyfall was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. . . I could not for the life of me understand why Bond had to take the villain to the Scottish highlands for the last battle. In the movie there was this mystery and veil around the term "Skyfall" - how it related to Bond and affected the theme of the movie remained unexplained, in fact it was a subplot that was not developed at all, yet the movie was supposed to be centered around it. I found the Shanghai fight scene that everyone else was wowing about just ordinary, one of my biggest gripe about the movie was that it was heavy on un-witty sleep inducing dialogue. |
I certainly remember trying not to fall asleep at the cinema when I watched Skyfall, it was that boring. Someone should tell the producers that we want our regular James Bond back. They must have had their fill with their so-called grittier and "realistic" Bond. Anywhere I get the chance I do not hesitate to call for the removal of Daniel Craig, heck he has hand his 3 movies run, good for him, now can someone show him the way out? I wish I could unsee Skyfall and not have my memories of a smooth and suave Bond packing the coolest gadgets taking on the baddest villains with the hottest girls by his side tarnished so unkindly. |
33117: ℓ̊ think skyfall SUCKS!♍Ɣ reasons:+1000 And I don't know how critics managed to fool the world that is was the best Bond movie ever. Anyways this was all last year's disaster, hopefully future Bond movies will be way better than the massive disappointment that Skyfall was. |
^ He probably thinks its holiday period means around June since that's when he goes on holiday. ![]() An understandable error ![]() |
