Oh Noooooooo!!!! The Last of Us delayed till June 14. http://www.joystiq.com/2013/02/13/the-last-of-us-delayed-to-june-14-worldwide/ https://thesilentchief.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/lastofus1.jpg |
Existenz55: He didn't break it. Before you try a record, you have to ask Guinness for a permission. After they give you the permission you can try to do it. I know that because i am going to play Crysis 3 (i already have a permission to try to beat the record from Guinness) and beat the current record (120 hours and 7 min) on 23 February 2013 22:00 (GTM+2). Microsoft's philosophy behind the Surface Pro is very clear, deliver a device that leverages the powers of a laptop with all the advantages of a tablet but if the reports of the battery life(~4hrs)are true then, IMO that is a major fail. Imagine shelving out $1000 for a device that is supposedly mobile and still having to be tethered to a power socket for the most part. Obviously they were gunning for the hybrid niche of the tablet market but these short comings may lead buyers to the offerings from the competition. Anyways I hope these sales are true and profitable for Microsoft, I really want the Surface to be the iPad killer. |
Buck vegetarianism. Pass me that Teriyaki steak and chicken soup, I'll have it with some fried eggs and smoked fish. ![]() |
0lumide: I see Oritsejafor wearing Jesus piece gold chain!!LOL Quite an observation there! Apparently the man doesn't know what he is doing. It's a pity. |
This is amazing considering that the Surface Pro garnered less than impressive reviews from many quarters. I mean with reports that its battery life is somewhere in the neighborhood of 4 hours when the competition averages 7 hours, usable memory on the 64G model is 23G (83G on the 128G model) and the absence of a cellular model - well, I guess I'm the only one that requires that this feature is a must ![]() Maybe those reviews are flawed or I put too much faith in them. Either way I still want a Surface, the Pro is the way to go but at that $1000 price tag I may just have to settle for the RT or maybe just give it some time for the price to drop ![]() |
Been jamming Wiz Khalifa's Remember You(feat The Weeknd)all day. I can't seem to tire of The Weeknd's part. D,ope song but the video makes no sense at all. |
If it wasn't for the tests done, this would have gone on unnoticed. C'mon you Brits, admit that you enjoyed it. ![]() |
minudus: Too Expensive.. Haba! They sell for $250.. Why slot de do like this..$250 where? Please don't display your ignorance here this morning. |
I'll put it down to the fact that the sensibilities of the Nigerian music scene hasn't developed much. True the Nigerian music industry has come a long way but at the moment its experiencing a period of arrested development. Right now it's attention appears to be completely focused on the upbeat fast tempo type tracks of the party scene. It is as though it were a child that has quickly grown from infancy and now in its teenage years refuses to grow any further. Whether such tracks contain any substance other than the waist winding, Moët popping money centered lyrics that are the hallmarks of today's urban aspirational music is not up for consideration. In fact it eschews any philosophical leanings, anything that gets in the way of the party mood is frowned upon. This situation is further reinforced by artists that are afraid to explore other forms of music making. Here the trodden path remains safest because of its history of immediate acceptance by the masses. So at the end of the day the creative yearnings and emotions that require the non party type tempo to be expressed remain unexplored, it's potential unknown and it's powers for mental growth untapped. . . |
@drzed 9icest didn't even understand what the Economist was talking about. He was COMPLETELY wrong |
9icest: The Economist did a story on Phd about a year ago...Did you even read the Economist link you provided? What The Economist did there was ask readers whether getting a PhD was a waste of time and 42% of total votes said yes while 58% said no. How you turn around and twist everything is completely amazing. Na wa for some Nairalanders o. Haba |
Where is Tex these days? ![]() |
BTW Claycares you seem to forget that the Huawei 4Afrika Phone is not designed as a premium or flagship device, its supposed to be mid level smartphone for Africans. |
claycares: @ocelot2006, you don't have to go about insulting people in forums. Forums are meant to inform people sir.Compare market share for when Windows Phone was released and for 2012 then explain how that is a decline. If you don't know where to start see these links http://www.examiner.com/article/windows-phone-overtakes-blackberry-market-share http://www.neowin.net/news/windows-phone-market-share-on-the-up-doubles-to-54-in-europe-in-2012 http://www.forbes.com/sites/kellyclay/2012/12/21/windows-phone-now-third-most-popular-platform-in-u-s/ Microsoft can hardly be described as ailing. |
Trust the fandroids to come and mess up this thread. |
Imagine having to explain to your colleagues who the old man in the office reception is that keeps starring at you all day for 3 days now. . . Father-in-law is one crude geezer if so. No sense of tact at all. Background check my butt. |
ocelot2006: Huawei ailing? Lawd, ignorance is a real disease! You're talking about one of the largest manufacturers of telecommunications equipment in the WORLD. ALL GSM operators in Nigeria and a lot of foreign service providers use their access and core network elements. And Microsoft? Yet you call them ailing? The real problem is that NL is being overrun by empty heads. Its amazing to see such levels of ignorance, simply amazing. |
coogar: by the same token, where's the trust? why would a father-in-law not trust me via face value? follow me to my place of work to find out if i am employed? after then what else? spërm motility test? psych evaluation? that's arrant nonsense! The good ol' NL Family Section flip right there! How would the ladies feel if they were at the receiving end of this "background check"? Nice one |
This is all news to me. Obviously any suitor that prompts his future father-in-law to turn private investigator will have trust issues with his inlaws down the road. |
This is completely hilarious. |
Is the assumption that the suitor's job is his for life? If in the future he loses his job does it mean the marriage will then fail? |
Give me a tenth of Moonraker's speed and I'll be a very happy man. Damn |
What you should have done is provide a link to the article with your own comments instead. |
Kane and Lynch 2: Dog Days? |
This is probably overkill on my part but I saw this and thought to bring it here. It is Rockstar's response to the delay of GTA V "To those of you saying or seeing various conspiracy theories about there being some other ulterior motive for this delay, rest assured that they're all nonsense – literally the only reason we've delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be," http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/48591/grand-theft-auto-v-is-coming-9172013.html So wait patiently, fans |
Starting season 4 of The Mentalist and season 1 of Young Justice |
I just downloaded the complete first season and the available 7 episodes from season 2 of Young Justice. Exceedingly interesting. |
Well that image is from the rumor mill otherwise I'd say it looks rather iPhone-esque. ![]() |
^ True, I tried to watch Suits but found it to be boring. |
Attributing the reason given by Rockstar, "additional development time", to the PS4 is rather far fetched. That's all I'm saying. Usually the trend has been that when a new console is being launched it is usually promoted by console-specific games not multi-platform games. |
