Krucifax: What we are all seeing is a slow war against religion and religious institutions. There is a battle for the soul of the church as pressure groups the world over are slowing trying to change the principles upon which the church is built. Amongst these are;Was this not done a very long time ago when certain "deciding bodies" selected the 66 books that we now refer to as the Bible? |
A note worthy point here is that the Lumia 520, which is targeted at the low end smartphone market, is expected to start selling from $180 which is ~N28,000. Nokia is sure bent on spreading that Windows Phone 8 goodness around. |
Apparently there are no threads here on the on-going 2013 Mobile World Congress taking place in Barcelona so let's get the ball rolling. ![]() At Mobile World Congress, Nokia has announced the Lumia 520, its latest piece of ammunition in the company's campaign to conquer emerging markets and first-time smartphone buyers. . . ROTFLMAO!!! Hilarious thread. ![]() |
That the Pro sold out isn't being debated here I am just stating my observations. When it comes to computers I'm a huge fan of MS and I especially like Windows 8 so I want them to succeed despite the shortcomings that I feel the Surface Pro has. So chill dude, we are on the same side. |
Just recently I happened to stumble upon a hybrid tablet running the full windows 8 OS. It was the HP Envy X2 and I must say it was a pretty decent device, immediately I must state that its processor is nowhere near whats on the Surface Pro, it sports an Atom processor while the Pro sports an i5 but asides that and a few minor differences I wonder why I would go for a Pro in the first place . . . My point here is that I think the Pro is in for some serious competition from the hybrid crowd. The likes of Samsung, Lenovo and Asus all have tablet hybrid offerings running windows 8 and there I was thinking that the Surface was the only one in this niche. |
The mode of engaging these low lifes will continue to evolve as they keep changing their tactics. |
The PS3 uses universal power supply ratings, you don't need a step-down transformer for it. |
Aaaaaaand finally a PS4 thread hits the front page. The mods are slow sometimes. . .this is the trending topic in the tech world at the moment. |
Sony is still keeping the PS4 console close to its chest. This reveal was just a big tease albeit an interesting one. |
Packing up my PS3 ke? I will not be doing that anytime soon. I'm certainly no early adopter and I will wait till there are decent games to buy for the PS4. |
^ Yeah. There was some disappointment though, we still have no idea what the PS4(I guess we can drop the code name Orbis now)looks like. |
In a few hours now we should know what the Playstation 4 looks like. ![]() |
Spaghetti and sauce. I can have that anytime aside breakfast for as long as I live. Just make sure the sauce is spicy and delicious. chai. |
^WTH? |
^^^ + 1000000. Very well said. |
mikron: Nigerians re much more richer than these people. no thanks to corruption. Babangida is worth worth than the $35 billion he is estimated with. Alakija is adjudged the worlds richest black woman in the world. countless silent billionaires abound in Nigeria. what more can i sayYou mean to tell us that somewhere there is a Nigerian that is worth more than US$75 billion? And Alakija is adjudged the world's richest black woman?. . .Must only be on Nairaland, because according to leading international rating agencies she doesn't show up on the radar. Where did you whip out these deductions from? |
Nigerian Communists inbound.
|
Yeah yeah yeah Is this not another "the rich ought to take care of us" type thread here in disguise? Some Nigerians and their overblown sense of entitlement. As long as the cook's wages were paid when due then there is nothing wrong here whatsoever. |
Ìyániwúrà123: -CARLOS SLIM HELUThat something must be smoking some expensive ish. |
Hmmm |
The last time I bought an album was in 2011; it was my first buy since 2004. Haven't bought any music since then. Downloading is the way to go. Trust members of the old guard to complain about that. They refuse to accept the fact that the Internet has rendered their old business model antiquated hence the cries of copyright theft and what not. Those cries of theft are completely ridiculous. Downloading music or any other content from the web for NON COMMERCIAL PURPOSES is simply file sharing but the many copyright holders incredulosly equate this to stealing! Let them keep crying while they get left behind. |
This shouldn't be surprising, phone makers like Apple and Samsung sell their phones at a very high margin too. Apple is probably the leader in this category with sales of their iPhone in excess of 300% of manufacturing cost (I don't have figures now but have seen them on several tech blogs in the past) |
^ Maybe he doesn't have stuff to download. ![]() |
^ Are you also not bothered by the available memory? ![]() . . .well that shouldn't be a major problem since it has support for a microSDXC card. But damn, the operating system is quite a memory hog. |
damiso: Pancake day special.drizzled with honey and topped with fruitsThat is a very weird combo. Pancakes with fruits? |
cogitoErgo: the source of this report must be a BH member bent on tanishing and demoralizing Nigerian troops in Mali. With all those truck load of food we saw here on NL how can they claim our troop is surfering food shortage? I beleive Yerima, that osundefender source can go to hell! And according to Nairaland Buhari was supposed to have won the 2011 presidential elections. ![]() |
Generalization. Much This Nairaland logic. One can also ask why Igbos hate Yorubas and vice versa. Do not blow things out of proportion; all of South Africa does not hate Nigeria just as Igbos do not hate Yoruba. Don't let some views on this forum twist reality for you. |
ROSSIKE: You are the one who needs to use your common sense. If you were president of today's Nigeria and had built the finest hospital in Africa at your doorstep, you will probably STILL be reluctant to seek treatment there personally, knowing the extent your enemies could go to get you. In Nigeria, it is more of fear of political enemies' machinations than anything else that makes leaders fly abroad for check up and minor ailments etc. As president or governor etc, even your own family will insist you seek treatment abroad.Sir, That's a very lame defense you just put. Fear of political enemies is the reason why Nigerian leaders don't use Nigerian hospitals? |
Toktee: I D MISS GENERAL ABACHALOL, because you imagine he would immediately have waged war on SA? Do you miss the bombings that went on during his regime, or his systematic crippling of the country's oil industry too? Funny how one ugly incident acts as a springboard for many Nigerians to call forth all that is bad. |
Dondav: What da fuq are u talking about?... They are murdering Nigerians everyday and you're here spewing out trash!Murdering Nigerians everyday? Really? And you know this how? Let's not get ahead of ourselves now, this disgraceful treatment shouldn't be used as a medium to vent more xenophobic flames. |
