All the universities i see here have pretty high acceptance rates - have not heard of any, MSU, GeorgeWash, or UCLA's - eastern michigan - a public school which keeps popping up has an ass whopping 70% acceptance rates and over 70K student, and students still get visa's approved - so acceptance rates is not a factor - it's PROGRAM FIT .

About the atheist thing, the logic is flawed - wont make sense to send an atheist to interview people who are 99% christain/muslim , and going by your argument - which states if he was an atheist (meaning he would not be comfortable with giving a devout christian/muslim a visa).

During my visa interview , v.o asked why my school - and the first thing that came out of my mouth was i had chosen CUA based on three criteria of which the first was religion - the v.o nodded in approval. Suffice to say i got admission for my MA. at 2 university and i chose the christian school because i prefer it, i aint gon lie !

Americans don't ask for religious orientation when dispatching civil servants.

I have all documents to upload but my transcript won't be available by then it will be available to WES by October can I still apply?

winbyforce: Someone is trying to extort money from you bro! You don't need to pay for any courier fee since Univ of Ibadan replies WES on verification via email. Very few schools send the verification through regular mail. Perhaps you can get some perspective from my experience since i did both UG and PG at UI:
1. I applied for my transcripts from student records(UG) and PG school. They both wanted to send it through courier separately but i told them at the student records that i'm also sending my PG transcripts to the same place,so they took my UG transcripts to the PG school. PG school sent both transcripts in one package-so i just had to pay for courier service once
2. WES sent verification request letter with photocopies of transcripts (took about 2weeks to get to Ibadan) to student affairs,it passed through the registrar's office,then landed at the student records. students' records detached the PG part and sent it to PG school for verification. One lady at the records said I will have to pay for verification if i want the reply to WES sent speedily.She said UI sends reply via regular mail but I could pay for courier to make it very fast. I challenged her that other schools reply WES via email,"why should UI be different?" . She just kept quiet afterwards. No be my 8k she go chop I had gotten all the info i needed from nairaland
3.I just followed up on both schools to know when the verification was complete. Got an email from WES shortly afterwards that my transcripts had been verified and my evaluation would be ready in a week.

The transcript office people said I should wait for 2 weeks before they can even get the wes verification request letter and that I have to pay for courier after its done .
The mail will first go to student affairs then registrar before going to records.

I was just weak.

First you're not sure they're using registered mail
Secondly, the mail must pass through nahco so it's best to go to the main point of departure and avoid delay of transit within Nigeria. Because the delay of transit within us alone is much.
Don't add naija delay to it.

I'm amazed nipost nahco was actually efficient. 7 working days.

Search for the larger field then look at the research interests or specialization in the department.
A stringent search is bound to be perplexing.

How long does it take for nipost to send mails.
No update on usps cuz its showing the same thing it has been showing since the day it was sent from Nigeria.

"the item is getting ready to be dispatched from home country"

Meanwhile nipost is showing "item has been inserted into bag" which actually means they've sent it so it must be from usps.
Any ideas.
