Cold hard numbers and facts (before and current):

1) Unemployment?
2) Homeless?
3) Internally Generated revenue?
4) Infant mortality?
5) GDP per capita?

If the above facts cannot be produced and backed up then everything else is hot air!

ACN = PDP
Lol! Cold hard figures?

19 - the number of buses of aluta howlers arrested while on a useless and wasteful praise singing journey to Abuja
3 - the number of months salaries owed to Osun state workers.
9 - the number of months it took Aregbesola to choose ministers and set up a cabinet.
3 - the number of days in each month Aregbesola is estimated to spend in Osun state, while not living in Lagos.
2 - the number of high officials Aregbesola is alleged to have slapped.
4 - the number of months that Osun's tertiary institutions have been on strike and students at home.
2 - the number of times Aregbesola has publicly claimed that he was not elkected to pay workers.
50billion - the amount Aregbesola claims the World Bank will give Osun to cut grass and catch squirrels.
40 - the number of wagons Aregbesola claims to have bought for the NRC / FG in a high story.
40 - the number of rail coaches Aregbesola claims to have bought for the NRC / FG in a high story.
1 - the number of train stations Aregbesola claims to be building for the FG at Dagbolu.
1 - the number of railway lines Aregbesola has built for the FG in yet another high story.

etc etc.

Lagos is sub-Saharan Africa’s greatest metropolis and the commercial hub of Africa’s oil-exporting largest nation, but its public infrastructure struggles to cope with its vast population.
Any help with transportation is great for Lagos. With the unholy amount of suffering passengers at rush hour in the city every week day, transportation is one area where any loan can easily be repaid and with change too.

efisher: Pls do u have the details of the pilot scheme? I am very interested in this. Thanks
No, I don't. I would really love to have them as well, any state selected for 24/7 electricity trials is lucky indeed. I'll be watching to see what happens in Anambra and who the other 6 states are.

I guess the electricity infrastructure would have to be revamped and upgraded first, so we aren't likely to see any immediate changes; more importantly, we don't know when the pilot scheme will kick off.

. . .Just like anybody owing the states workers close to 3 months salaries and claiming to have bought trains for the FG (alongside a million other tall tales). It is only a couple of months ago since he hired his commissioners.
His tenure is hope shattering and almost indescribable.

Osun is the seat of culture in Nigeria and deserves much better. What can be compared to the Ife sculptures and Osun Grove whose beauty seduced Suzan Weinger away from her native Germany, to naturalise as a Nigerian and citizen of Osogbo? The sacriledge Aregbesola and his likes are committing in Osun is a stack example of the general decay Nigeria has gone through.

Anambra Assembly Commends Jonathan Over Power
Fri, 25/11/2011 - 1:12am | DAVID -CHYDDY ELEKE

President Goodluck Jonathan has received commendation from members of the Anambra State House of Assembly over his plans to commence a pilot scheme for uninterrupted power supply in Nigeria using seven states as a test case.

The lawmakers also expressed their joy that Anambra State was included in the first seven States for the pilot scheme and called on the Federal Ministry of  Power to ensure that the President’s dream of steady power supply was achieved.

Hon Tony Oneweek Muonagor, in a motion seconded by Hon. Rita Maduagwu and unanimously adopted by the entire House, yesterday, commended President Jonathan and said that the singular act of boosting power supply in the country would impact positively on the economy.

“Imagine what will happen to most of the companies that had folded up some years back due to epileptic power supply, it will go a long way towards resuscitating the moribund companies thereby enhancing employment of youths”, Muonagor said.

Hon. Gabriel Onyenweife, Hon. Tony Ezekwelu and other members of the House expressed regret that for years, communities in their constituency had not felt the impact of electricity and had resorted to the use of generating sets.

The lawmakers also expressed optimism that with constant power supply, ailing industries in both Onitsha and Nnewi would spring to life again.

Politics › Re: Governor Rauf Aregbesola's Achievements One Year After by Beaf: 4:32am On Nov 25, 2011
One year of nothing but hot air and claiming the FG rail project as his own. It is a unfortunate that he is more of an Alimosho based Lagos politician than Osun state governor, even worse is the the fact that he he only appointed his commissioners a mere couple of months ago, while awaiting the dry season of his second year to commence governance.

Some more interesting achievements are that, while he is owing Osun states workers several months salary, he was able to organise a 19 bus aluta trip to sing praises in Abuja. They were arrrested.

Aregbesola is by far the worst politician on Nigeria's political terrain.

He spoilt everything by adding "Sovereign" to the national Conference because "sovereign" just rendered his suggestion unconstitutional, illegal, treasonous, and illegal. The only way I'd support a so-called nationall conference is if the participants in such a conference do not include a single former or current politician, including Tinubu. They want to share the rest of the country among themselves. all of dem be onye ara.
He is just making his usual populist statements that have no weight. Its all hot air.
A committee has been set up to review the constitution and it is being done in a clever way that will exclude his type from having any influence whatsoever.

It will blossom into a National Conference at some point IMHO, especially as GEJ himself has said it will expand over time to include representatives of the various ethnic nationalities; in that sense, therefore, Tinubu's harpless thrashing about is useful to popularising the end result of the review process.

Programming › Re: Java Has Failed! by Beaf: 11:39pm On Nov 24, 2011
Java has failed on the PC desktop and internet. PC desktop dev is done in .NET or Qt, while internet pages are predominantly .NET or PHP.

For those claiming that Android is Java, I wonder what they think about Oracle's patent suit against Google's Android platform and Googles own arguments that Android is not Java? Or Microsoft collecting patent fees from 55% of Android licensee's, the likes of Samsung and HTC?

For those of us that witnessed the birth C# and their scary Java clone, Visual J#; we only see a familiar trajectory. Google, like Microsoft did earlier, is simply hitching a ride on the Java train until they can come up with their own language, except Google is much more involved in a do or die battle than Microsoft ever was.
C# is thousands of times better than Java will ever be and we can expect that when Google comes out with its own language (if it doesn't adopt C#), it will also be miles better than Java.

If what runs on phones is Android and not Java, then Java is well and truly dead and only putting up a pretend existence.

Una de make kobojunkie vex o! grin

According to this bad, wicked and strange argument, GEJ is not part of the FG. lol:

Kobojunkie:
Look up the meaning of the word CONTINUITY, especially as applies to Government, because it suggests an ACTIVE succession, a flow of activity at least.

There has been no mention of any actual interaction between the Jonathan Administration and the Katsina Wind Project. All you need do is investigate the project -- information is available online on said project. Please, stop playing the zombie, and try to actually engage in finding information (much of which is now available for you to investigate for yourself). to educate yourself, rather than these desperate attempts at finding reasons to rationalize the irrational claims. At least make sure your praise is worth more than that of the millions of other zombies out there in Nigeria land.

Jonathan Goodluck campaigned the last election by pretending it was possible to remove himself from the administration before his(something any rational being would have known to be impossible to do), and he was able to convince millions of Nigerians that the irrational was possible --he won the election that way. Since his re-election is based on his not being part of the last administration, it then follows that he cannot claim the works of the last administration as part of his achievement, UNLESS, he actually contributes DIRECTLY to the successful completion of said projects. (This is not science).

I posted this very same article a year or two ago. The author is simply exagerating fears and half truths to keep the untenable status quo going; that is the reason the author has a very strange concept of Nigeria consisting only of the Niger Delta and Arewa, with the Igbo, Yoruba, Middle Belt and all other ethnicities playing peripheral roles.

I don't see how keeping the country together is preventing any of the ills we are witnessing, in fact our forced union, without even the simplest contractual agreement is the reason we have problems and the reason Nigeria will inevitably break up.

No?

mukina2:
I am going to say this once, wont say no more on this issue, you know how it goes if you break the rules .

1, you were banned for posting a thread, and changing the title to bkbaby and the thread in question had nothing to do with him, it was about a Colombian man, i changed the title you changed it back  and you got banned. If you are going to lie make it legit. this is the thread : https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-481371.0.html
So how come multiple threads with content that has nothing to do with Beaf have been allowed? Even making it to the front page to create the illusion that I work for govt? Even if I did, what would that have to do with NL opinions? What about the numerous Reno Omokri = Beaf threads, why have they been allowed?
You are the Supermod, is Beaf the same person as Reno Omokri? Since you know that is not the case, you have totally contradicted yourself and confirmed what I have claimed. Again, even if I was Reno Omokri, what would that have to do with opinions on NL?

The main reason I am posting here is to find out who the rules apply to and if they change with the seasons. The reason I was given for that ban was that it is against the rules to personalise threads, that is what has put me in a quandary, madam. Because it seems that those rules do not apply to certain people as I have amply proven, it also seems that the same goes for forum rules against bullying, harassing, parent abusing (as is evident on this page).

So who do these rules apply to? Let us have a proper definition of who the privileged and under privileged on NL are, so that we can individually fit in and obey the rules as they apply to us.

mukina2:
2, you are in the habit of posting pictures with inscriptions directed at Nl members and posting pics in threads where they have no business being in, that is posting offtopic and deliberately derailing a thread, you've been warned a lot for doing that. You've done it to lots of people.

stop playing victim, i have been doing the warning/banning so i know
I wouldn't post pictures if the same rules applied equally to all. Pictures are a last resort, because the mods don't apply the rules equally, I have reported demdem and his clique several times and absolutely nothing happened. Perhaps, these people are mods as well.

mukina2:
@demdem and drumma boy
sorry about that please do not reply his insults.

@ all
please let this be the last on this issue, the thread is for complaints and nothing more.
Wonderful! So this what I have been saying does not amount to complaints?
It gets even better, people actually get apologies for contributing death threats (drummaboy) and stuff like this!

Demdem:
grin grin

Expired kunt produce.
Working so hard to distract peeps from topic.
ACCURSED, such a clown.

I said much more than you addressed above. You have made no comment about the harrassment threads like you didn't see that mentioned. The fact that they are encouraged is an of favouring certain positions and smothering others. Nobody has told us that NL is some sort of rightwing website where extreme positions and ethnic bigotry are favoured, while genuine voices are shut down by corrupt practises from mods.

That we have slimeballs like demdem saturating the place is totally down to bias moderation; he is here on this thread boasting about stalking others, calling them accursed and insulting their parents private, yet here you are, a mod shivering and quacking like an olympic jelly. Yet you can thunder and belch molten rock about a couple of funny images, posted because moderation is biased and cliques are rampant.

I will provide two examples that cannot be denied:
[li]I was once banned for 3 days for calling bkbabe out on a personalised thread in the tribalism section, after getting thoroughly sickened by his racist and bigotted posts. However, threads that are targetted at harrassing me make it to the front page. Who are you fooling?
Perhaps the rules are just written in a different colour ink for friends and cronies. Or even worse, these ugly creatures and ethnic bigots might even be moderators, signed in with different user id's.
It even got to a point were as a direct result of those harrassment threads NL promotes, a wretched creature called drummaboy claimed he and his colleagues had marked me down to be killed. Maybe shabby moderation deserves praises and accolades?[/li]
[li]I was once banned for 5 days for linking to an image that is on a thousand one NL pages, yet you told me it was because I uploaded a disturbing Unclad picture. It wasn't even a Unclad picture, because I do not do such nonsense; it was of two politicians swearing an oath. Who are you fooling?[/li]
In any case, how is this post not in the same category as any of mine? https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-791838.128.html#msg9444009

The most shocking story I have come across though, is how mods could raise a whopping N800,000.00 for a politician during the election period. Is that possible without trading fairhandedness? It is simply shocking.

@Beaf

dayokanu did not ask me to clean the thread. I went through the thread, saw all the insults and posted that the thread will remain locked until the insults are cleaned, I then locked the thread because I couldn't clean it immediately. It was some hours later dayokanu made the post you quoted on the complaints thread asking when am I going to clean the thread so they can continue posting on it. If you read his post carefully, for him to post that means the thread was already locked. When I finished removing all your insults and demdem insults i unlocked the thread, removed my initial post and then replied both on the complaints thread and on the thread that it has been unlocked.

I asked you to show me demdem's post that I left after deleting yours not yours that I deleted.

The link you gave me https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-791838.128.html#msg9443837 is a link to your post where you quoted demdem's post which I already deleted and not demdem's post that I left.

I would have deleted that post if I had noticed you quoted the insult but I was only looking at what you wrote if it was an insult or not. The reason you couldn't find the original post from demdem on the thread was because I deleted it.

Also the rules of Nairaland forbid insults/harassment against another member not against public figures. We do not ban people for harassing public figures else you too would have been banned for many public figures you have harassed, but we plead with members to respect public figures.
Lolzzz!!
If the bolded is true for everyone, why do you regularly delete the pics I post while leaving the baba suwe ones of GEJ dayokanu posts on the very same thread? Strange, but it would seem that the rules apply differently.

Also, how come you deleted all my pics on the thread we are arguing about, but dayokanu's pics remain? Mystery!
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-791838.128.html#msg9444009

And, oh before I forget, so it is against the rules to be harassed on NL, but threads where Beaf is the topic for bashing are a regular feature? shocked
This is getting funnier by the minute!
In fact, I recall clicking the reverred report to a mod button on several occasions about such threads, only for exactly nothing to happen; to top matters, as soon as I reported one, it made the home page! Can you beat that? Lol!
That is the first and only time I have seen a harassment thread aimed at a particular NLer making the home page and yet you want to convince me that there is no bias and that there are no cliques whose agenda's are playing out.

Naturally, it has also bothered you more that I called demdem a fool than his rather choice words, fresh from the gutter have bothered you. A funny picture, it would seem is more harmful than gutter words. Talk of a scale of priorities gone wack! embarassed

What about the numerous Beaf is Reno Omokri threads? IMHO, the only reason they have been allowed, is to create objects for bashing, afterall you and I know that I am not Reno Omokri.

Congrats for a job well done.

Anybody can wake up & call my name or decide to implicate me about something, but, in the eyes of the LAW, you have to prove ( EVIDENCE) that he has sponsored terrorism in the real sense of SPONSORSHIP. Mind you, the names to be called is what I termed ( Na dem- dem), PDP? Give this drama one week. And I found it very funny, that the " supposed Boko spokesman" just pleaded guilty instantly. I stand to be corrected, I read that the magistrate tried asking him a question & the SSS men rejected him answering, that it will jeopardize investigation. You don't have all your facts & you're in court. I don't get it. Someone can educate moi.
I read a newspaper article where the SSS says it is trawling through Modu Sheriff and Ndume's phone logs and that quite a few more high profile arrests will be made shortly. So the investigations are still in full swing, but it would seem that either they have got more than enough on Ndume or they feel he might have been spooked and ready to run, so he was arrested and arraigned immediately.

For the guy thats freely confessing, none of us know the techniques that have been used on him to make him wax lyrical. The SSS might be cautious about anything he says so that those not yet arrested wouldn't get any details from the courts and do a runner (or kill witnesses etc).
