Are you capable of logical and objective criticism at all? Aregbesola is giving precise time-line for infrastructural work that will improve Osun State. That is more than can be said for GEJ and his apologists. Did GEJ not say that he has "no agenda beyond good Governance"? How vague is that?

Yet, rather than give the benefit of the doubt to a leader who has , without deceit or double speak, outlined targets you are here trying to malign the ACN. If some of you are not too far gone in bad belle, hate and ethnic bigotry , the worst you should say is "we will wait and see" because , with Aregbesola's clear time line, you will not have to wait long to resurrect this thread.

You certainly should not be assertively declaring Aregbesola will fail when you have no real reasons to speak so negatively. You and others should be ashamed of yourselves for letting bigotry carry you away to the extent that you cannot even wish others well anymore. Okorocha , for example, is saying a lot of things and I am personally hoping he delivers because Imo is a Nigerian State and the good people of Imo are my fellow Nigerians - not enemies.
A "precise time-line for infrastructural work?". . . Eight bloody months and zero commissioners after taking the mantle? shocked shocked shocked shocked
Damn! By the time the rains are done, Aregbesola, the Omnipotent Singularity and Emperor of Osun would have been on seat for more than a year!

A "precise time-line for infrastructural work?". . . No commissioners and mad talk about exporting yams to Lagos and building a local Oke-Arin! Pure entertainment, only its tragic.

Hunu go take laf wund small pikin o!!!!

As a person with interest in military weapons and what not. I think Chinese planes are just there for show. The technology used is usually stolen - Look up on how they buy trade secrets from Israel rogue agents, pakistani ISCI etc. While it may look fierce, it basically cannot out-perform or even match the Western equivalent in air combat or dog fight.

Remember the Russian (Who in my opinion make better technology advancements than China) had the MiG fighters and it was supposed to rival the Western equivalent back then, but it really didn't in real life practical terms.

As it stands, the US air superiority is unsurpassed. Iraq, Libya, and a host of nations who had battle with the US in recent times all had their Air defenses smashed in matter of days with very little resistance.

While country like China are busy trying to match or surpass the US. The US NORAD (Nothern American Aerospace Defense Command) already started work on Laser weaponry from three or four decades ago! The idea is to use Laser weaponry from space to disintegrate enemy targets anywhere on earth. You see, it is pretty much hard for any nation right now to out-maneuver the US Army in terms of technology. They simply invest Billions of dollars in the best brains.
Keep decieving yourself, its false comfort. Check the phone in your pocket, your TV, your satnav. . . Its all made in China, and if its stolen tech, then its darn good stolen tech. Fortunately, the US army thinks very differently to you.

You talk about lasers being used to disintegrate enemy targets like its some huge breakthrough. All you need is a portable power source and any country (including Somalia) can build the laser weapon. Lasers have been around since the 60's.

By the way, China was the first ever country to shoot down a satellite in space, and that happened a decade ago. They were also the first to build an anti-aircraft-carrier ballistic missile, the DF-21. I wonder who they copied, being first and all?

This kills aircraft-carriers:

Why is it ok for Afircans in Zimabwe for example to say that White people are not welcome in their land, yet it's ok for millions of Africans to come over to Europe? How would you feel in Nigeria if millions of unskilled white people descended on Lagos for instance ?
Because, the land in Zim was stolen at gun point, like it happened across Africa.

From your input so far, it is 100% definite that you are English. No?
You need to look back in history for cause and effect. Brittain deeply traumatised Africa with their empire, culture, identity, religion were all shreded; lands were stolen, blood was spilt and artefacts looted on an industrial scale.
It is not Zimbabwe I fear, but what a developed Africa might do. How will its youth react to a wretched history of the brazen exploitation of their people and lands? A developed Africa is not far around the corner either, 6 of the Worlds 10 fastest growing economies are African; we are building something beautiful out of the chaotic murk, it is still invisible and subteranean except to the descerning (like David Cameron, Sakozy and Merkel).
Attitudes like yours are unhelpful, you do not want to inflame the opinions of the African leaders of tomorrow. Put a lid on it and don't stir the hornets nest. Do you recall the Chinese Olympics and the ill-adviced protests in the UK? That was driven by similar arrogance to yours just 4 short years ago. Do you think such protests are remotely possible today?

And who says the Africans that flock your country are unskilled? Have you taken a studied look at the NHS and the IT industry? You are having a laugh mate!
Yes, there are unskilled Africans doing the dishes and care work, but no British person wants to do such.
Dude, the British economy will collapse without immigrants.

On the reverse side, we do have unskilled Europeans flooding Africa with fake qualifications and living the life. Its all because our laws are still developing (its not that easy for those who have had their cultures rap'ed). These is a bunch of unskilled Europeans in Africa, taking what didn't belong to them after a massacre of the locals; the stolen goods are still in Europe:

Sir, how many other governors don't have commissioners after close to one year? Can you name one apart from the Negus Negast, Magnus Rex, Dear Leader and Supreme Overlord of Osun?

Please name just one sir. Those who were sworn in just a few months ago have already kicked off with governance (including his fellow ACN govs), while AregbeRASCAL is planning to "develop" Osun by blabbing about building a local version of Oke-Arin market (without commissioners) and exporting yams to lagos (again, without commissioners). We need to go into 40 days dry fasting for Osun. African never learn.

So, you are saying SLS knows on which side his bread is buttered.

Interesting viewpoints - a little bit more conspiratorial than I would think, but still interesting. There is definitely an agenda here, but it seems to me that it is basically that some people are being promised  a huge, but phantom, inflow of cash that their greedy eyes cannot pass-off.

The real reason behind such phantom promises escapes me - there are just too many investment destinations in the world for some bank to be hanging around the shores of Nigeria since 2003!!!
It just happens that another pesky Southern "infidel," Olusegun Obasanjo was President of Nigeria in 2003 and not exactly obeying agreed "orders." Sharia kicked off in roughly the same time frame.

Coincidence?

Dude, you ain't making sense anymore, all your stuff isn't adding up.
Next thing, you'll say that in his rookie year, Lewis was only pretending to be comprehensively faster than a double World champ! LOL!!!!

First, before the new artificial tyre rules, Lewis driving style was truly electrifying, his speed confounded and dumbfounded poor Alonso who immediately threw the toys out of the pram.
Lewis was a beauty to watch (still is), a man comfortable with the rear of the car drifting, going into corners with a controlled slide, cos its the fastest way round. IMHO, the tyre rules could even have been an excuse for some to gang up on the precocious new talent, sadly for them, he is still by far the fastest.

Hamilton is known for his aggressive and interesting driving style. He commonly uses oversteer to control the car's direction change.[152] Confidence in car control allows Hamilton to excel in wet conditions as demonstrated in his performance at the 2008 British Grand Prix. Confidence is also demonstrated when overtaking, as reflected in his 32 overtakes in 4 races during 2010.[153]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lewis_Hamilton#Driving_style

Ya! All you've got to do is give the man a trash can, any old beat up junk piece of metal would do. . . Then sit back and be thoroughly entertained by electrifying skill. cool

The over the top establishment reactions to Lewis are all about the theme of this vid, bro. Watch Lewis talk as a 10 year old, he had had some ugly experiences at that age.

What a funny guy! Here is a man who cannot even choose a couple of commissioners to serve the masses. He is going to single-handedly build schools and roads before the end of the year. He makes grand and highly deluded speeches; he promised to turn Osun state into the centre of Yoruba culture and tourism before the end of the year, not stopping there, he was going to massively export yams to Lagos by train and bring back the farm implements that would help Osun build its very own replica of Oke-Arin market.

Politics › Re: ‘over 28 Million Muslims Excluded From Banking’ by Beaf: 2:20am On Aug 01, 2011
koruji:
Islamic Banking can proceed if they want. This system has such a high information requirement that cannot be met on a large scale in the modern world, and YOU HAVE TO PAY INTEREST a.k.a PROFIT RATE on any money you borrow.

As such, the bank has to be either subsidized or remain at the level of small communities. The main potential sources of katakata are the following:

1. Nigeria's money would somehow be used to subsidize this business
2. If they are not following the same disclosure rules
3. If they engage in discrimination against christians
4. Some mallam actualy begins taking the "Islamic" on the banking system religiously
5. Some "conventional banking haram" group starts a violent campaign against regular banks

There is a very good reason why the bank has being loitering around Nigeria since 2003 and there is a reason why Sanusi & his cohorts are all of a sudden galvanized.

I am only sorry for the gullible true-believers who think these people are trying to do them a religious favor. If they have ears let them hear: This bank is not for paupers, it is for the rich to get richer. Period!

Visit this site and you would think the contents were 2011s, but you would be wrong. There are dates on some of the items - dates to 2008: http://www.jaizinternationalplc.com/www.jaizinternationalplc.com/index.html
You are spot on. Practically all "Islamic" banks are owned by pork chomping Christians, these banks in turn have shares in gambling and defence businesses.

"Islamic" banking has zero to do with Islam and everything to do with profit. Religion is a tool with which to clobber the vulnerable, hopeless and gullible.
In Nigeria's case though, it is a much more cynical weapon; it is the tool of the core-Northern elite to nurture and propagate their hegemonistic ambitions. It is all a long range plan of divide and rule; the aim is to "seem" to address the needs long suffering Muslims, as against the rest of Nigeria, a subtle, but nevertheless dangerous and obnoxious divide and rule tactic.

Boko haram has been seen through, headed away from the senseless bloodbath it was meant to provoke and confined to the streets of Maidugury. Even more than that, security agencies on the lookout for al qaeda operatives have their beams intensely focussed on the core-North. With loss staring them in the face, they have reached for a desperate measure; maybe the next Northern riots or bombs will target "Christian" banks.
The World is watching and the Mutallabs in US gulag are singing and spilling. Its a long chess game that the mallams have already lost.

In the meantime, Middle Belters and Southerners with the means should go all out to 100% own these banks, control the flow of cash from source to destination, own the street.

Sanusi is a man from an extremely priviledged home, who chose to shun Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, the LSE etc; he chose to sit a a degree in Sharia and Islamic Studies from the African International University in the dust ridden backwater, Khartoum, Sudan. A very strange decision for a young man from a super connected, moneyed background at an age when it is natural that his mind, like those of his peers should have been on girls. That is a very instructive point about the mans makeup.

look carefully at EVERYTHING that happened during Ham's rookie year not just what Alonso did. the whole beef started in Hungary YES but not during the race. . . . . . . . . in qualifying, Ham showed he was AGAINST his teammate and didnt want to follow the TEAM'S strategy, and thus going against Alonso. that, started their notorious hate for one another.

i can recommend some good meds for your amnesia, lol!
The problems between Lewis and Alonso started at Monaco, not Hungary. Ron Dennis kept telling Lewis to slow down and not pass Alonso, cos he was number two, but that didn't satisfy Alonso, Hamiltons raw speed had finally unnerved him. After the race, he had a huge spat with Ron Dennis after asking him to short-fuel Lewis so he wouldn't finish races if he drove at top speed. After that was Hungary, then he began blackmailing McLaren with the emails he and Pedro De la Rosa (McLaren test driver) had exchanged concerning the Ferarri car design. . . Ron Dennis decided not to be blackmailed and emailed the FIA. The whole thing is easily verifiable and not very great history from a grump who didn't have the civility to dissuade his fans from making ugly racist attacks on Lewis and his family.

Dude, I am simply engaged in some research here. Since a group of loud dimwits have experienced "strong" leadership in Nigeria, we just need to know by process of elimination, where that strong leadership came from. Once we have tied that down, then we can proceed to nail down why our dear country is so backward and boko haram infested. It took decades to generate 10 million plus almajiri's, lets know about the "strong" leadership that bred such a situation.

I never said Buhari represented strength and I would be glad if you can show me where I posted such

I said change and adding now "discipline"  . Buhari took part the coup that got him to power. At least so I was told. Can you give me evidence that Buhari took part in every single coup in the country.

At that time a coup was necessary for 2 factors

1. The country was going to disarray then

2. Military coup was the order of the day to get to power.

Now this was necessary and in fact we were luck that it was during his tenure that A WAR BROKE OUT between chad and Nigeria which Buhari and the military defeated without causing disturbance and unrest in the country unlike now.
Coups necessary? shocked
What about murder, ra'pe and brigandage? You are displaying a very pathetic understanding of what civilised society is. It is easy to understand why a bush man and half-animal like Buhari acted like an armed robber and siezed the nation at gun point; he used to be a cattle rearer, chasing cows barefoot across the desert. His mind is simple, primitive and unschooled. He never benefitted from proper school, that is why the lives of youth corpers were so cheap to his supporters, they were wasted like bags of dirt by hoards of hate filled almajiri's, inspired by Buhari's "strong" leadership.

Buhari's only legacies are making the application for Nigeria (a secular country) to join the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), killing innocent boys with retroactive laws and declaring unquenching zeal to spread sharia across Nigeria.

"Weak" is not even adequate to qualify GEJ . try "impotent stooge" .
Lol! Awon ACN loudspeakers don land! Go and domesticate your Aregbesola, get him to pack from Lagos to Osun, and above all, get him to appoint his commissioners. He's been there almost a year talking crap, while Osun state gets overgrown with grass. I guess thats ACN's definition of strong leadership.

I'm sure you are one of the naive fools that backed the likes of IBB, Abacha and Buhari. Even if one isn't blessed with common sense, a little practice will get the brain working. Go and sort your strong leadership with Tinubu, the drug baron.

Please, if you have a point to make, make it rather than insulting people. Respect people's opinions especially when it makes sense. Thank you.
Abeg, choose your "strong" leader from the pack of donkeys and vamoose, or better still, evaporate.
