An over the top, damn funny, foreign report ;NIGERIAN BOMBER ARRESTED, FACING TERRORISM CHARGES http://www.zacks.com/research/get_news.php?id=277l4314 |
IBB = INDEPENDENCE BOMB BLAST. . . . chei odikwa serious. . .
|
jabbok:You are funny! What makes you think Jonathan does not have greater courage than any General, his quietness?. . . I pity the way many Nigerians think, it is so shallow. I blame the agbero mentality that so many years of military rule has foisted on the country. |
kettykings:Arab World? Now thats really funny! You think they want to commit suicide? Did you see what happened to Saddam? Lastly, have you heard of Africom? Arabs my foot! ![]() Don't start wahala you can't finish. If not for a group of dolts like IBB, Nigeria was very much on the way to uniting, but if una wan scatter, nobody will beg. If you cause trouble, it will be met and dealt with. My advice to you is, let the law run its cause for the benefit of a united Nigeria. |
Basseti:Nigerians are just ignorant of IT. As long as a skilled person knows your email address, they can spoof mails to look like they are coming from you; your account could also be broken into without your knowledge etc etc etc If govt gets IT folk to trace the emails, they can usually tell within minutes, if an email is fake or not (regardless of the method by which it was sent). |
kettykings:Sharap dia! Civil war between North and South? ![]() Some people are very funny, do you think wars are fought with sand? Dude, if IBB is found guilty, better accept it and go on with your daily existence. If however, you preach war in any form, it will be an action you will regret. What are you going to fight with? Stones? If there is a coup or assassination, what do you think will happen to the areas that push that coup? You think a blade of grass will be left there? Where will they even get money to run the country? As for calling for assassination, I hope the SSS picks you up. |
Basseti:A lot of unschooled folk here don't seem to realise that. But its the digital age and such evidence is almost beyond damning. Old screws like IBB don't know how to function in the digital era, now the volumes of blood he has spilt must catch up with him. |
jabbok:IBB's empire has fallen!!! It is especially exciting when you realise that a lot of the intel was supplied by Nigerias friends and allies. |
Tugbaski:Don't mind the clowns. They have had a few pitch lines drilled into their thick skulls that they repeat over and over, even where they don't make any sense. |
9ijaMan:No, you guys are the ones with the dead brains; calling for war when you have no resources. Where una go get petrol and diesel to fuel amoured cars, jeeps etc? ![]() Very funny! And while you guys are trecking to war, those with abundant fuel will be free to attack from the sea, land and air! Better submit calmly to justice, cos the game is up! Bloody niny's! |
To those saying nothing will happen, lets watch! To those saying there will be war, you must realise that all the money in Nigeria comes from the South. . . That war will not last a week in the Souths favour, so please change tune and look for the law to run its inevitably bloody cause. Pray fervently that you don't get what you're asking for. Nigeria must be purified. ![]() |
Ejigbo Dele Giwa Mamman Vatsa . . .And countless other innocent souls are caling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling, calling. . . IBB! IBB!! IBB!!!
|
E don te wen IBB don de plan di bomb blast! ![]() This must have rung alarm bells with the security services; militants successfully met with the campaign teams of some presidential candidates. Serious questions need be asked. Why should members of the public hold meetings with groups of militants? There is no guise under which this is acceptable. 2011: Militants hold secret meetings with IBB, Buhari |
^ Do you actually believe the cabal disappear if PDP goes, or are you just being naive? rebranded:IBB's pig is finally done. 10 innocent lives for a fcking ambition to steal? Lets bury the bastar'd!!!! |

Sahara Reporters has to be taken with levity these days. . . .However. . . In most countries, the identities of the children would be protected by law, so long as they are alive and underage. It would be against the law to take their pictures, talkless of publish them in the national press. The picture goes to show the main problem we have in Nigeria, the complete lack of love for one another and it was all packaged in our green - white - green. What a country! ![]() The kids had just been through a harrowing experience that would be with them for life, they look hungry, tired, bewildered and unloved. Some are not wearing proper clothes (I shudder to think why), just one is in shoes. After this sort of trauma, they could have done with a little love, food and parental kisses and embraces. But we have instead, the ritualist governor of the state keeping them in their wretched state, while he powdered up for a troubling photo. Notwithstanding their trauma and tender ages, the governor could dress nice, phone up a few people to dress nice as well, and equip them all with sashes in our national colours. . . And that man is meant to be the leader of his state and a father figure to be looked up to? Nigeria and Nigerians have a long way to go. Is it a wonder why kidnappers are the law in his state? I read someones pathetic attempts to compare some of George Bushes photo's with the near abomination the Abia gov engaged in and can only shake my head at the depth of ignorance in some people. Some are so far down in ignorance that they will never believe that that their situation is dire. the average Nigerian is a slave, but is too traumatised to realise their slavery. Is the gov of the state not the very same person in the video below? Any surprises? [flash=400,300] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_eHbzBZPnA&feature=related[/flash] |
Abagworo:Okah is ex-MEND, others are running that show now. He began losing influence when he was incarcerated and finally abondoned all for exile in SA. Okah has not recently been seen as a key figure in MENDOkah has no men, except a straggler or two (with funny names like Ben Jessy - likely picked up during periods in foreign climes). |
hercules07:There are a lot of folk that think condemning everything is somehow right. Be careful that you do not condemn the man that can bring us soccour in these barren times simply because you are going along with a fad. On what basis can any rational Nigerian compare Jonathan and IBB? Your words above are shocking. |
ferari90:Interesting. IBB people = Foolish people |
YarisMan:Damn! ![]() That really is IBB. If Dayo had asked about the Ejigbo plane crashed that wiped out a generation of youthful officers, his whole family would have vanished too. |
Ibime:I don't agree with the above about Okah being Jomo Gbomo, because even at the time he was imprisoned, the press still recieved communiques from Jomo Gbomo. |
Goddex:It is true. Many lose their objectivity and post from behind a fog (trival, sectional, party affiliation etc). That fog is so thick and primal that they have lost sight of the fact that several lives were lost and come across as shallow and uncaring. |
superboi:This is the same story all news outlets are carrying. Something needs to be done to curb our stop and stare attitude as concerns certain types of incident. There needs to be a lot of public education, but this is an area that has been largely neglected, even as Nigeria has steadily fallen into decay over the years. |
oyb: In other words, I am correct that you are mad? You actually think thats a compliment? I've always said the the degree of knock-kneed !diocy that emanates from you is absolutely intriguing! ![]() |
^ Again. Why should you worry about how they are presented if they aren't members of your family? oyb:Take time to read what you have written above, then consider the topic and you will come to the inescapable conclusion that you sound mad. |
oyb:If they aren't your family members, you have nothing to worry about how they are presented. Or are they? |
oyb:The way you go on about "Beaf this, Beaf that" all over NL (even tho its obvious, I don't give a fck about you), if you were a babe, I would think you had a crush on me. You're just sick dude. Even for a fool, you come up with an amazing amount of crap. Has it ever occurred to you, that Jonathans life was probably at stake? Do you know if the bombs that went off were the only ones? Do you really believe in your heart that you know the full story? Sadly, your answers wouldn't shock anyone. If only you had a brain, I would advice you to think before you type, but you don't, so keep the dross flowing, NLers understand your mental limitations. |
OBSERVATIONS:Dinner with Jonathan By Kadaria Ahmed October 4, 2010 02:26AMT So on Saturday at State House in Marina, Lagos, President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife played host to a select number of Nigerians. The state dinner was part of the events marking Nigeria's golden jubilee. Although Lagos is no longer the capital of the nation, the president decided that a dinner must be held here because as he put it, it all started in Lagos and the city remains the commercial heartland of the country. Coming as it did a day after the carnage in Abuja, the dinner was less boisterous than it might have otherwise been. The president asked for a minute of silence for the bomb victims and the events in Abuja were discussed both on the podium by some of those who spoke but also at the various tables by dinner companions. There is a conspiracy theory that is been whispered around and one captain of industry was more than happy to share it with me. "It is your people," he said. It is those northerners that want to do everything to disrupt the possibility of a Jonathan presidency, he alleged. Instinctively, I wanted to dismiss the assertion. After all in their usual style, MEND had circulated an email just hours before the carnage warning people to stay away from the venues of the independence celebrations in Abuja. To do so however would be, I realised to ignore the deep distrust that plagues relationships between the different regions and tribes in Nigeria which shamefully politicians look prepared to exploit as we prepare for elections. It is therefore imperative that the skills of our security services, minuscule though they might be, are brought to bear on investigating the crime in Abuja. They should in fact ask for help from friendly governments whose security operations are more robust so we can be sure of apprehending those who committed these atrocities. If the culprits are found, they should be tried and if found guilty convicted. Simple. Under no circumstances should the actions of a few ‘mad' people be used to cause more divisions among Nigerians. The blood of ordinary Nigerians must stop being the oil that lubricates dirty, divisive politics in our land. It is hoped President Jonathan can provide the necessary leadership to ensure this happens. This is the same reason why by now, we should also cease and desist from harping on the issue of zoning. Enough of a policy that has no place in the sort of society we hope to build, one in which merit trumps every other consideration. The president wants to run, let him contest. His place of origin should not matter, his promise and our judgment of his ability to deliver on that promise should be the yardstick. At the dinner, I caught glimpses of why the president has convinced many that by this yardstick, he is the man for the job. He seems to have mastered the art of being easy and charming to his guests. As he stood at the podium addressing the people he had invited to dinner, from time to time, I would hear from some of those sitting near me the phrase, "I like this man," or, "he is not bad at all." This was not surprising because Goodluck Jonathan did come across as down to earth and in touch with the problems of Nigeria, in that he interlaced his speech with jokes, some at his own expense and this also endeared him to many. He acknowledged the relevance of the new generation of Nigerians in nation building. He broke protocol to take a photo at the end of the dinner with a group of young people, a band from Abuja that performed at the dinner. The clincher was when after he called for a toast to Nigeria, he walked around tables ‘clinking' his glass with as many people as possible. I got a clink, as did everyone on our table. It thrilled people to no end. The majority of Nigerians though, will never experience this sort of intimate interaction with the president. Their judgement of him will largely depend on how his policies impact their lives: the provision of potable water and constant power supply; the construction of motor able roads; an overhaul of our education system, the list is long. If the President wants to replicate the success of Saturday's dinner, among regular folks, he should note these are the things that are most likely to sweep them off their feet. http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Opinion/5626491-182/observationsdinner_with_jonathan___.csp |
IMHOTEP:The killers of Eagle Square OBADIAH MAILAFIA October 3, 2010 11:59PMT A dear friend from Kenya once remarked that if you do not have the heart to clobber another human being to death in your pursuit of power, never venture into African politics. We all laughed off his remarks at the time. But now I understand better. There is a devil-theory of power which dispenses of no instruments; a theory in which the end justifies every means - a world totally devoid of moral scruples. Friday 1st October was one of the saddest days of my life. Paradoxically, it was meant to be one of the happiest: the day of our golden jubilee celebrations as a sovereign, independent nation. Golden jubilees are meant to be solemn events; a time of new beginnings and renewed hope -- a time of forgiveness and reconciliation. I happened to be in Brussels during the celebrations. For millions of our people, the happy occasion was marred by the twin car bombings in which, so far, fifteen souls have perished, with so many others wounded. On the evening of the same day we had a sumptuous banquet hosted by our highly able ambassador, His Excellency Ambassador Usman Baraya, at the plush Auto World Centre in the fashionable suburb of Woluwe- Saint Lambert. The hall was packed full with Diaspora Nigerians, diplomats and other distinguished guests and friends of Nigeria. The dinner was vintage us at our most hospitable. Against the sombre mood and rather gloomy faces, the traditional dances looked rather incongruous. The bombers of Eagle Square have dealt a mortal blow on the stature of our country. My wife, who had planned to be at the celebrations, phoned from Abuja, her voice trembling. The first bomb had missed her by a whisker. She was about to park her car near a vehicle loaded, according to her, "with pure water", when a traffic warden ordered her to move ahead, as there was more parking space ahead. No sooner had she parked than the same vehicle exploded into a ball of fire. Only the most contemptible enemies of our republic could have done such an evil thing on this day of all days. During the Second World War certain limits were observed by all enemy combatants. The Allied forces led by America, USSR and Britain; and the fascists led by Germany, Italy and Japan had all agreed that on Christmas Day no single shot should be fired. And throughout the war years the guns always fell silent on Christmas Day. Nobody except the most ruthless enemy of the Nigerian people could have planned and executed these wanton acts of destruction on the hallowed grounds of Eagle Square. There is no denying that our country has been a disappointment all these decades. All of us have grievances in one form or the other. But there are also things to be thankful for. Indeed, as the old book enjoins us: ‘in all things, give thanks'. While I would defend the Lockean right of every oppressed group to fight for their rights, the essence of liberal democracy is the implicit recognition of constitutional and moral limits to the instruments we can deploy in the pursuit of legitimate grievances. The norms of civilised conduct would require that on such a day, of all days, nobody should have to die for any reason whatsoever. My first instinct tells me we have to look well beyond MEND and the Niger Delta insurgents. It would have been easy enough to bribe one of those violent bands of anarchists to claim responsibility for the bombings. Dissimulation, after all, is the stock in trade of our cultic merchants of death. We may be dealing with forces far more sinister than we imagine. Those who are losing out in the emerging geometry of power are becoming so desperate that no weapon is beneath them. People who have been alleged to lodge explosives on aircrafts to eliminate their opponents would consider putting bombs in motor vehicles a mere boy scout exercise. Lucifer has no shame and no mercy. We as a nation are now pitched in mortal combat against the forces of darkness that have maintained a stranglehold over our benighted republic for decades. They will not go without a fight. And they may well prefer to bring down the Temple of Humanity itself. But they are losers - yesterday's people. The history of liberty from Thomas Paine to Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela makes it clear that freedom is never given. It always must be taken. Our generation must resolve to take back our country from those blood-sucking vampires who understand only violence and rapine. The lines are now drawn on the sands of history. Whilst I cannot use the privilege of my column to endorse one presidential candidate over another, it bears remarking that, if those behind the bombings were hoping to discredit Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, they may well have achieved the opposite effect -- perhaps giving him the Presidency on a platter. The bomb fires of their vanity have made him to look like a better statesman than those miserable grisly reptiles. They have, in effect, placed themselves under the sewers of history. http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Opinion/5626493-182/imhotepthe_killers_of_eagle_square_.csp |
The three men, according to Gwadabe, have a war chest including foreign donations to execute their plan. An oil magnate believed to have links to Babangida since his military presidency was also listed as a major financier of the plot. The magnate recently struck gas, about 3.5 billion cubic feet, in two oil blocks he allegedly got under Babangida. Gwadabe sees this as dangerous as he may emerge as the richest man in this continent. The Brass LNG Company is believed to be negotiating a 30-year gas lifting contract with him. “This is a dangerous trend which the president must stop immediately. This issue has far wider security implications which the president should examine carefully,” Gwadabe wrote.Who is this magnate? I believe Gwadabe has some bombshells that could be of use to the govt. They need to tap him up, even if unofficially. |
