@beaf, i dey happy say mend don take amnesty. make we all hope say, government go fulfil their own pledge. $2billion no be small monet to pump into de area. at least na small step in the right direction.
Government always claims to have "pumped" money into the ND. They consistently release only between a 5th to a 10th of the sums they make noise about; then they send out their attack dogs to say, "oh ND recieved so-so and so billion".

Left to me, we are being taken for a ride. It might be better to find neutral ground to arm up in ways that will confound Nigeria. Then we will they will never ever dream of bombing villagers attending a festival (Gbaramatu) or straff "fellow citizens" from helicopter gunships or wipe out more communities like Odi.

With its oil wealth, the ND should be able to enforce its own Aburi accord.

gowaga68: Base on one post here i will like to list some states in the south that dont produce any thing to the country's economy like Enugu (coal)no more coal in 9ja,Anambra,Bayelsa Palm Oil (lil quantity).
No State in the North that does not produce at list a lil thing to the Country.
Arewa Gida.
shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
Damn!
Bayelsa and Delta states almost single handedly sustain this country! Bayelsa produces 40% and Delta 30% of crude oil the country feeds on. That should be enough to rubbish your list.

Can a display of ignorance be more plain? I notice this same thing about northerners in general; they all claim their states contribute to the country; only God knows how.

"Araba or secession has been the war cry of Hausa leaders"

The Hausa`s or the Sarduna didn`t go to war because of it, they only voiced their desire 4 it, but Ojukwu went to war at the cost of over 2 million lives. Big difference.

@Uche2nna,
Aburi document is irrelevant in today`s Nigeria. what the country want`s is 4 people to do their job properly, if the state commissioners did their job properly, state governors did their job well, fed ministers did their job well, the president did his job well and the average Nigerian did his job well, the country would be developing, just like India and Brazil.

Aburi as more or less become an obsession 4 some people that want to go back to the Biafran war issues. They can`t let go of the pain of Biafra, rightly so too many lives was lost 4 it too be forgoten in such a short time, but the pain should be used positively 4 Nation building of our young country not to tear it apart like our parents did in the sixties.
Can we not learn from the mistakes of our parents.
Yeah, people like you want the status quo to continue because they have slaves in the Niger Delta. You can keep your "commissioners" and other leeching people / regions.
Business › Re: Obasanjo Creates 6000 Jobs In Ota Farm by Beaf: 2:07pm On Oct 12, 2009
KnowAll:
Obasanjo LOOTED well in excess of the 16 Billion dollars that he stole from the fund allocated to revive Nigeria's electricity grid, and as usual, he got away with that crime of the century CLEAN, in true Nigerian fashion.

What he does with that stolen money is of no interest whatsoever to most people who would rather hear that the vagabond was ambushed, kidnapped and then slaughtered by those who know what payback is really owed to scumbags like that geriatric old kleptomaniac phuckhead.

If every looter can employ 6,000 people and I know in Nigeria we have in excess of over 200 documented looters, then unemployment will not be an issue in this country, rather Nigeria will be the food basket of Africa, our commonwealth which has been commandeered by the looters would be seen to have been put into good use.

Of what economic benefit and significance is it to the country of those high powered lawyers, who are charging James Ibori £25,000 per hour in defence of a case which will drag on for years,

( 1 ) because the respondent who is James Ibori is not available and ready to attend the court session,

( 2 ) the Lawyers in conjunction with the Judges will come to a compromise of an endless adjournment, in other for the lawyers to clean out the big black nig*er of a man who in his own smart and whacked mind think he has successfully fleeced his constituents dry.

What the ex President has done is commendable, I hope this time around prudence and good governance will prevail in the running of the Obasanjo Farms, we hope it will not degenerate into that pitiable sight of a few pigs and an empty pen for the chickens.

I am surprise the ex President is even celebrating 30 years of the existence of the farm, by all reckoning I thought that farm was more or less a ghost town of dilapidated farm machinery and silos for most of that 30 years, well, the name on the rusted sign board and the dusty road leading to the farm is worth celebrating.  undecided
I have never heard anything so unreasonable. . . A thief has stolen commendably? shocked A thief is a thief, whether it is Obj or Ibori. Abi is Obj from your village?
Politics › Re: Fashola For President! by Beaf: 1:55pm On Oct 12, 2009
I will only vote for him if there is no credible SS or SE candidate.

For the health of the country (if it still exists beyond 2011), we need fresh viewpoints outside the North and West.

@Beaf
No, I don't think that's his point. I understand SapeleGuy's position perfectly. We all know that Ibori is a criminal. But there is the more subtle game that Niger Delta people are aware of; it is the political traps the FG has been laying instead of being true to their word and resolving the ND issues once and for all. There are a lot of paid nagative propaganda mongers spreading deliberate falsehoods and hyping anything negative about the ND to the exclusion of all else.

What exactly is his point. No hide and seek game in here.
I don't see any hide and seek games in my position, but there is a subtle game being played elsewhere. Yes, Ibori is a criminal; but why are there are very few threads about Atiku (Harlibuton), IBB, Tinubu (drug baron) etc; are these people not worth our attention as well?
Politics › Re: Road Users Now Sleep On Ore - Benin Expressway by Beaf: 1:38pm On Oct 12, 2009
It is a road to the Niger Delta and Eastern Nigeria. Those areas are home to the "scum" of of Nigeria, indeed, Honourable Bala N'allah from Kebbi has kindly asked for a good proportion of those dregs (just 20 million) to be wiped out. Why do they need a road to their home, when they can climb trees, swim or paddle canoes?

Blackta you are not serious, have you seen the conditions that those people live in? you are there saying he ( tompolo) should be hanged, its called rebellion if you don't know what that means i suggest you look it up.
It is just ignorance. Blacksta doesn't come across as malevolent.
All the same, it must be pointed out that the country is treating the ND no better than slaves; it is every Nigerians responsibility to get clued up about the truth of what is going on there, not just listen to govt propaganda (which reads like scripts from Lucifer).
Politics › Re: Can Anybody Tell Me How Much It Costs To Produce 1 Barrel Of Crude Oil by Beaf: 12:12pm On Oct 12, 2009
citizenY: DNA has nothing to do with money printed in paper and coins, you fool. If for any reason , DNA has anything to do with oil, you
and MEND should be in good company.
Why can't you keep MEND out of your bullshit?

Just when you seem to be asking a reasonable question (for once) and just when you have kindly abstained from bolding your input; you inject crap about MEND.

Why all these small minded attacks on the ND?
Politics › Re: Nigeria Will Not Protect Offenders In Foreign Countries - Minister by Beaf: 10:32am On Oct 12, 2009
Andoakaa is there for Harliburton, Atiku, Tinubu and Ibori. Government will even die to defend these "exemplary" types.
Politics › Re: ‘why Yar’adua Shunned Un General Assembly’ by Beaf: 10:30am On Oct 12, 2009
This is a remarkable study on how to look foolish. Does Yar Adua think that reward comes from shamelessly displaying the attributes of a weakling?

Even Gadaffi who had only bullshit to sell, went to the UN and gave the West his bullshit. . . He and his country are more respected than Yar Adua and his new Nigeria. Give it one more year and Mugabe's Zimbabwe will be vying for higher stakes than us.

The World is giving us the last chance for self redemption, but look at how stupidly we have gone about worsening things. Dropping bombs on "fellow citizens", whose area the country is 100% reliant on; "electing" known criminals to power (e.g. Tinubu, an inernationally known drug baron). Our Atorney General runs all over the World to confound criminal cases against powerful Nigerians with the full power of the Nigerian state.

We are a laughable country, even other Africans see us as a joke.

Rubbish, you are stretching things. Tompolo is derived from his surname, Ekpemupolo.

Some of the people making fun of "Government" bear strange names like, Peter or Paul (WTF do such names have to do with your village or culture?). Talk of pot calling kettle black.

And Niger Deltan's have been seeking protection for years from ordinary citizens in vain.  angry

People like Tompolo have forced the govt to begin recognising its responsibilities. 20 of our villages have been erased by "ordinary citizens" and 50,000 souls have been snuffed out by "ordinary citizens" since 1981.

Have you heard that anybody from Warri or Delta state hates Tompolo? Who are these "ordinary citizens that have been begging government for years for protection from these men in vain"?

But there is an international airport under construction in in Asaba. Warri has always had a stadium, its only been retouched.
