Has anyone from last week's Panel 30 gotten an invite for interview with Top Management?

Yes. I was called for a Panel Interview after the aptitude tests.

I noticed no one is giving feedback on their experience, so here is mine.

After the interview yesterday, I think I have started liking access bank. I just applied for applying sake and wrote the test for sake of writing the test then I attended the interview just as a way improving my interview skills as I am currently working, but during the interview we had a good conversation, from the "tell me about yourself" question which led to an in depth discussion about one of my hobbies then she asked what my mom thinks about the hobby which then led to a discussion about my family, what they do and my position in my family. While going through my LinkedIn Then she became more serious and asked about "my 5 year plan" and I linked it to access bank then she asked why access bank, I was talking then she interrupted and asked for more details about an access bank product that I mentioned, then that led to the "what would you do if you are not accepted" I told her i would apply again noni, I am very resilient and determined like that. then she gave me some career advice and I asked two questions, 1 behavioral and 1 technical and she answered them well.

The two questions that I didn't answer well by the response in their body language was "how do you know that you would fit in access bank" and "what would you do if you are not accepted". (Now I am going to work on my response to these questions for my next interview with another company)

Bear in mind that it was a panel of 4 but I really connected with that one. Two were marking my reactions and taking notes.

But overall it i have mixed reactions about the recruitment process, you make people sign in in one building then move to another building to get panel and flour number then move to another building to attend the interview. I believe They could have done better

Like I was telling someone after the interview yesterday, sometimes, interviews are BS. You don't know the answer the particular interviewer is looking for.

On my panel, I was asked about where I see myself in 5 years. When I linked it to Access Bank, they started asking some questions to tackle that. Eventually, they told me that I was not supposed to link it to Access Bank; that I should not tie my plans to any Organisation. In my mind, I was like "WTF?!" I answered the question almost the same way with a different Access Bank last year, and they were impressed.

Another one was "Tell us about yourself". The "acceptable" answer to this also depends on the panel. Last year, when I was asked this question, I answered by selling myself to them - telling them the positives about me. Once again, they were impressed. Yesterday, when I did the same, I was cut short and told that what they wanted to know was my background, what schools I attended, etc. In my mind again, I was like "WTF?! I've always learnt that the question meant selling oneself to them, and that worked perfectly last year. So, what's up with these guys?"

All in all, the "right" answer depends on the panel. God's favour is very important. Make una pray well before you go.

One will be required to get ten people to open accounts of N200,000 each or one person to open an account of N5,000,000 with Access Bank.

Therr are people who passed every prior stage but didn't get the job, after failing to meet the target. In fact, someone here claimed that he got up to nine people to open accounts of N200,000 but didn't get the job (because he was still one person short).

So what happened la$t year after head of HR interview? How did it go? What were u asked then?

Last year, the interview with the Head of HR was the final interview.
If I were to divide last year's process into five stages, it'd be:
1. Aptitude tests, Essay and Questionnaire.
2. HR Interview.
3. Panel Interview.
4. Final Interview (with Head of HR)
5. Test to prove you are an Access person - finding people to open a certain number of accounts up to a certain amount, within two weeks (or ten days?).

Now, this time around we didn't have any HR Interview before the Panel Interview. If you were told this was the second stage, then maybe the HR Interview last year was a part of the first stage, and Training School was probably the fifth stage. That way, I guess the Final Interview with the Head of HR is coming up next, as the third stage.

With her last year, I got:
- Tell me something about yourself.
- How does your course of study relate to Banking?
- Why do you want to be a Banker and not an Engineer? (I studied an Engineering course).
- Why Access Bank?

Very short interview. Some people were in for less than two minutes, even.

They should just do sharp sharp and send the next mail, before man go finally dey stranded inside this Lagos.

Last year, after the Panel Interview, I had the Final Interview with the head of HR. But since we didn't have an HR Interview before the Panel Interview this time around, then maybe that will come up next. If it's been skipped totally, then it's the Final Interview.

How does your course of study relate to banking?
Why do you want to work in a Bank?
Why Access Bank?

I'm also going for the interview tomorrow oh. I only know the place because we had the final interview there last year. I pray it all works out well this time around.

How do I get to venue tomorrow from stadium or cms?

I'll assume your venue Plot 999c, Danmole Street.

Find your way to CMS. When you get there, ask of where you'll get a bus to Adeola Odeku. Tell the conductor you'll alight at Idejo.
Once you alight, you'll see a road to your right. Follow it. You'll see a Chinese Embassy. Go further a bit, and you'll see the Danmole Street by your left.
You'll see an Access Bank right by the Junction. But keep going down, and you'll get to the Access Bank Headquarters.
You'll see about four different branches of Access Bank in that vicinity. If you're not sure of the one, ask any of the Security Officers in any of the branches.
They even tried by mentioning Adeola Odeku and Idejo this time around. Last year, it was just "Plot 999c, Danmole Close, Victoria Island". Lol
Som'n like that.

It seems Access Bank really needs new staff. Last year, there was an HR Interview before the Panel Interview. Main thing: May God favour us.

The essay is a munched page. Who has the time to count the words? They just done want something too large. Thats it.

I suspect they just want to use it to check for grammar and punctuation usage.

If you're in Lagos, I'd advice you just go and see how it goes.

Ahswr. Very tricky. Miracle was even like "Not less than 50", meaning 50 was okay too. I'm like "Beht how?" Main thing though, go straight to the point. No unnecessary preamble. No stories.

It's just about clicking words that describe you, blah blah. Just a personality behavioural test.

I didn't take the PDA today though. I already took it last year. The page showed that I had already taken it before. So, I was told to leave it, and that there's no problem.

Yeah. Some, iPad. Others, Samsung tab. Used for everything, including the essay.

I was happy the Quantitative Reasoning came first; huge morale booster for me. Lol. I also noticed they don't really have a huge question database. Many of last year's questions were repeated for me. Also, the right answers to some questions weren't there. But, all in all, all glory to God.

LOL. Last year, in Benin, HR Interview came up right after the aptitude test and essay. Same day. Panel Interview came up the following day. I'm not sure about the arrangement here in Lag his time around though.

Did you receive acknowledgement of mail? I was supposed to write today but am unavoidably unable to make it, all efforts to reschedule has proven abortive, abeg which email address you use?

I'll be taking the test tomorrow. I don't know why the Bank scheduled some of us who applied for Batch 2 for the Batch 1 test. And rescheduling is not working properly.

And, with this news of people who wrote today having to wait till Saturday for the first interview, I don't know how they expect me to cope in this Lagos for that long.

Last year, the HR interview was immediately after the aptitude test and essay.
