Your approved visa remains valid.
After deferring to spring, you can enter the US 30days prior program start date.

I wonder why that VO behaves that way. A friend that went for her interview last week at Abuja said he was just dishing out the Blue denial slip like souvenirs. He only considers applicants with good travel history, or full funding. Its really not fair tbh.
