Family › Re: "I Don't Buy Cigarette For People,did I Go Against My Principle? Must Read by belcom10(m): 4:32pm On May 07, 2020 |
You did nothing wrong , you stand by your principle. I have a principle, I can't give you what I don't take. alcohol or cigarettes or any other thing that is against my principle. Even my friends know this. RaymondFantasy: "I don't buy cigarette for people, I'm sorry Sir I can't help you" I said.
Earlier today I was in my aunt's shop when it started to rain. I had an umbrella with me and was trying to put away some things from the rain when a man ran into the shop. Judging from his features and physique, he should be in his late sixties. I greeted him and asked him to move inside the shop and he did. He sat for a while and engaged me in a chat. He asked why young Guys loved playing Xbox cos I was playing Xbox Game (God of war). I gave him a smile and was about to go get something from a shop across when he called me back an asked me to get him cigarette. I was confused and couldn't find the right words to tell him that I don't buy cigarettes for People irrespective of who you are. I stood for a while and gave him that reply above. I expected him to get angry like others do but he just smiled. I went across, bought what I wanted and went back. It stopped raining and he left. A guy who has been sitting in the shop all these while, turned to me and said " you should have just bought the cigarette for him. Seeing you turn him down without any feeling of remorse changed my thoughts about you" " WTH!!! Did youjust say remorse? Why should I feel remorseful?? I don't buy cigarettes for People, is that too hard to understand? Besides I apologised to him and he understood. And you said it changed your thoughts about me, ( I laughed) it's alright." He stood up and left and I wondered how his thoughts about me affected me.
Please oo, I want to ask, what's so wrong in deciding not to go against my principles? |

Incase I leave her for another woman in future.
I talk to her what's the meaning of all the comment, u know I wouldn't do all this things ur saying, a lady have be in relationship with over 6years still have doubt. She cried all through out the night begging me I didn't accept.
In the morning we settled that and we are fine after giving her reason why I wouldn't do all that she mention.
Lately she came back telling me that her madam advise her to go for court marriage that it's very important, na here another problem come start again concerning the court marriage. If not for the lockdown our marriage is suppose to come by June.

There's ease on lockdown now . So go and do the right thing. Marry her. apprentist: Hello NLers This is a serious matter so I will appreciate very kind advice please.
I met my girl last mid last year and we started dating officially this year. We both work and earn and we were already in talks with her parents and mine to tie the knot this year. Most of our plans are looking sketchy now because of the COVID-19 pandemic and restriction of movement around. Making it impossible to go to her state or mine.
Early this month she used a pregnancy home test kit after she noticed some body changes and it came out positive. We both love ourselves madly but I am still not sure of the step to take now.
1. Should I go ahead and abort (sincerely, this scares me) 2. Should we keep the baby? Considering we're both financially earning. (But if we do, how do we go about the marriage rites with all these lockdown in Nigeria)
Pls NLers I need your advice. Presently I asked her move in with me due to her health as already mentioned. Please help |
Christianity Etc › Re: How We Can Curb Sexual Immorality In Our Society by belcom10(m): 11:08pm On Apr 27, 2020 |
You are very correct. OkpanachiMax: Treating sexual immorality in general in which fornication(premarital sex), adultery(extra-marital sex), masturbation, pornography etc are included. Human sexuality is so explicit and complex that we need to deal with it from within. Indecent dressing live on the street and on social media is the greatest influence of these things, also the evolution of adult film industry sealed the fate of mankind. Man for instance was created with a constant sexual feeling, this sexual feeling is low when there is no erotic image and high when there is, so in order to suppress this feeling, we need to minimize our activities on social media, we need to sensitize the female to dress decently if not we will all rot in hell with our religious sentimentality because 95% of youths are guilty of this.
NB: It is not easy to preach what you are guilty of if you have a strong conscience

You said it all... Same way am attracted or most ladies I dated were virgins. I knew someone who was attracted to single moms...

Study the Bible, fast and pray. This will help you to be spiritual alerts. Pray that God should strengthen your inner man. At times for me when I had series of dream I may forget some before I woke up. But immediately I began my morning prayers It will start flashing on my memory then I remember it. Dream is very essential in man's life, as it is one of the channel that God uses to communicate to his children and to review hidden secrets to us and evil agenda of the enermies. I am talking from personal experience. Spiritual controls the physical. mabeni: I don't even remember let alone writing it down. Is as bad as that. Aside this suggestion, what else should I do? |

How is this one now a problem. Some people don't like sleeping without light . And I happen to fall in this category but I prefer a dim light though. frubic: Good day fellow Nairalanders,
This is my first post and I'm going to summarize my gist. I m staying in a room self contain and met this beautiful & fair lady in her middle twenties in the compound I just move in. Before we stopped talking, I got to know that she can't sleep without light on (either her candle, rechargeable or electric light must be on) every night. I have confirmed it. When ever I come home late at night due to my nature of job. But she refused to give me details why she must sleep with light on.
I suspect her and same time inquisitive to know why? Because she has a strange attitude and I have never seen her goes to Church since I moved in.
Please, members of Nairaland if you know any good reason, let us know. Thanks. |
