FBS: Nope. Even over 25. In South Australia, if you are over 25, you can get P1 after 6 months on L-plate. |

Zany. I know.. that is what they write but you can do it differently. . When it was written, you can't generate HAP ID yourself after lodging but it is possible now. |

zanyzara: I believe he's talking about student visa. For PR, since you have lodged your application, you have to wait for CO.
Zany. Not necessarily. You can go ahead to do it without waiting for CO. I did medicals after submitting. S/he should follow the process earlier described. |

FBS: 6 months? In some states it's 1 year before you can apply for your practical test. That is if you are under 25 I guess. |

majiouk2002: Hello guys,
Please what advantage does having a naija driving licence have over starting the process afresh in Melbourne?
Thanks in advance for your responses With Naija licence, depending on the state after passing driving test, you get full local driver's licence without conditions. Starting fresh, this is the process across the states Learner's permit... You will be on it for at least 6 months before you do a test ... When you pass the test, you get a provisional driver's licence (P1), you will be on this for 12 months. After the 12 months, you move to P2 for another 12 months before you do a final test to get full licence. |

asadiaboymma: Hello everyone! Please, does anyone knows why civil engineering draftsperson has not been getting invitation? I'm really worried, because it's my nominated occupation and it's also a non prorata. Please your response will save a soul. Thank you. Are you in the pool already? @Maya2, I believe you can use any Nigerian naira card as long as you have the naira equivalent. VETASSES assessment fee is less than $1000USD. As per the documents checking, I am very busy this period, I wouldn't have time to thoroughly check. I believe someone will be willing to help you. |

Highway007 and maya2,
I believe you guys can get a positive assessment if package well for vetasses.
@Fobak203,
Using guilt tactics doesn't mean anyone will give you a positive response.
When a question is not answered, the principal reason is that people don't have the sure answer to it. I will rather be quiet than mislead someone.
A simple email to EA asking about if your MSc can aid in positive assessment for materials engineering may solve the problem.
I am sure when you ask questions someone has answer for, it will be responded to without delay. |

I don't know what you use internet for but if Nigeria internet can serve you well, I think you shouldn't worry about the efficiency of internet. It should be the least of your worries among many things to worry about. |

jaybwoi: Hi Bellong,
What are the best two banks you can recommend for utilities/daily transactions and savings for a new migrant? From your own personal experience.. I have no bank to recommend. All the banks are good. You only look for good bank when you need loans. @OGKush, Why should a landlord pay for your internet connection when he is not charging you for it? When you get a house, you will pay for the internet connection of your choice. It is Only in shared house you see internet connection included in rent. |

Since the minimum points Engineering Technologist is 70 now and looking at how competitive it is now. I will like to opt for either Production Engineer or Chemical Engineer as @charlie111 has done.
what do you please think @SirBelong. thanks What I think is my response to Chatlie111 |

charlie111: Wow, my undergraduate was petroleum engineering but i nominated chemical engineering. Fingers crossed, 16 working days has passed since i submitted my CDR with fast track and it's still queued for assessment. God help me!!!! Well, petroleum engineering has a component of chemical engineering. It depends on the flexibility of the assessing Officer, if he believes your CDR shows competence in chemical engineering, then you can get positive assessment. |

@Mannimaker,
Your only option is Engineering technologist.
@Mcstan18,
If your English test is very recent and appeal date has not passed, I think you should appeal your writing and speaking scores.
External auditor is assessed by three accounting bodies and I believe they have some course contents they require you to have in your education before being granted positive assessment. I don't know if they do experience in lieu of qualification.
What you can do is to go the website of these bodies to check their requirements. Alternatively, you can align your experience to that of a mathematician. |

chebyshev: Hello fam,
A brother of mine with the following qualifications: Bsc Actuarial Science, ICAN and upto 8 years and above work experience in banking . He wants to know the best occupation to nominate in order to receive ITA with 65 point or less, under visa class 189 or 190. Actuarial scientist will be the best option to receive ITA with 60-65points. However, he will need to demonstrate that his experience matches that of anzsco description for an actuarial scientist. I believe that should be the least of his worries. |

kamotisha: Hi fam! Pls I need advise o. I tried opening a NAB classic account from naija and experienced issues because they asked for phone no and I was putting +234...Apparently they expect the no to be an aussie no. Any ideas on what to do pls? Or do I try another bank? Any referrals with good testimonies? I believe on every bank's website, there will be an account for migrants. I don't know what NAB calls theirs. You can open account prior to arrival if you choose the right account. I opened an account before I arrived. |
