Keep this energy ooo. You still get Denver, get finals. I dey wait ooo(Make God spare our lives). You never see anything. I no wan hear he's 45 years old ooo. @Birdman don already round am to 40, na to add 5 years remain. I no wan hear AD na glass. cheesy grin. Reaves went 0 of 8 from threes blablabla. Big shot Bob status still good. At least him dey go finals win every single one of them. I would rather be like Big Shot Bob. A winner. Your guy don go 10 finals na only 4 him fit manage. He wan come dey compare himself with person wey go 6 for 6. No need for 7 games. Soundly beat your opponents, no space for coulda woulda. The man win three straight, take small break, take 1 year recuperate, lose small, come win three straight. For 100 metre race na first place we dey remember. I only remember that Usain Bolt was first, remind me of those that came second again. Win ooo. Win. Shame no even dey catch you, na 6-2 point guard hand your guy 3 of him 6 losses. cheesy grin

Imagine thinking 4 championships + 1 FMVP is equal to 4 championships + 4 FMVPs grin Your guy is just like Robert Horry in this sense, he got carried to most of those championships. Benji93 I greet you o cheesy

Hey guys. It's ok we lost. GSW lost. Curry lost. No excuses. No blaming Klay, Green, blablabla. We definitely should continue discussing who should go. As I once mentioned the organization has to make tough decisions. You don't want to be too sentimental and you don't want to be asentimental. Klay and Draymond. Excuses many a time beclouds judgment. This person was terrible, that person was shit is always a possibility in every series. Even your best players can be shit. They can be outclassed by other players and for the moment until your player responds the "against narratives" go continue. After those two championships, many people were sure KD has been greater than Curry, but well time na baba. Most people today would argue Curry is at least just great as KD, and many would argue that of course, he's greater.

Brace up yourself for the deluge from the Media, starting Monday. Oh, we told you that the dynasty was over. All of this came up in the lead-up to the championship we won last year. They shut up for a year and now they can have their moment. cheesy grin. I was well aware of the terrible regular season, but I just thought the championship pedigree would be enough. I was wrong. It was only enough to get one game. Another team with a championship pedigree(at least their top 2) got the better of them.

This team no go give person hypertension. I no fit even watch the games.

I will be coming up with narratives of my own next. cheesy. Please Lebron fans if your man loses I don't want to hear oh "If AD was a little better we win that series". If you lose you lose. Another argument we fit invoke in the GOAT debate. Time is running out, he better win. If he doesn't i will cook. He better have more championships than Curry before he retires, because my letter on top that one don ready na to push am out. cheesy grin

By the way make una leave @A40, he predicted this from the beginning. Let him have his moment. cheesy grin. Even though I know there's a narrative in the background. cheesy grin. I support am on top that one.

I welcome the narratives and keep them coming in. I love them. @Steady986, @Birdman, good day for you guys. Let's go. grin.

As usual, Denver Nuggets, get them.

I don tell you before say you suppose think well about some of these your takes before you dump them here. You never learn steady. Till today many talk heads still argue that if Bogut doesn't get injured and Draymond Green gets himself suspended GSW doesn't lose that series. Which means KD doesn't come to GSW and the Dynasty would still be on track. I have repeatedly told you it's not useful to keep throwing up hypotheticals unless na just say you wan banter. You cannot repeat that experiment, so there's no way to find out if GSW wins that series with Bogut healthy and Draymond keeping himself under control. Some other talk heads and fans would also argue that the year before that if Kevin Love and Kyrie play the entire series, Cleveland wins that series. Well, that experiment was mostly repeated in 2017, but this time with some special catalyst coming into the picture. Neither of those experiments was repeated exactly, so unless you just wan banter it's a useless argument. cheesy grin. There were other less complex hypotheticals, which were resolved. For example, it was said(i think you were in that camp too. cheesy grin) Curry couldn't win without KD, well that was resolved last year. And there's the KD has not won outside GSW or without Curry, well only time will tell on that one.

Oh make i no forget, your guy won a bubble championship. Well, well. I could argue that he would be stuck at 3 now. cheesy grin

The point is it's not possible to know if the Dynasty would exist without KD. But we must remember that he was an integral part of that dynasty.

Steady981:
The Warriors won't even be talking of any dynasty if it wasn't for KD. Let's be real.

I personally think he should be traded. His excesses are too much. However, every business always has to seriously consider not getting rid of those that helped them reach success, especially if it had eluded them for a long time. You probably should just let them drown by themselves and cut those excesses for the next generation.

The team has to make a decision on the Poole/Draymond factor. Unfortunately, any small perturbation is likely to be linked to that punch. It won't go away. As someone mentioned(maybe it's even you) Poole owes us at least one good game.

The team has to make some decisions on the podcast issue. Even though I believe an employer should be able to control your engagement especially cos he pays you a lot of money, I am not sure how this works without them stoking racial sentiments.

To be an employer no easy.
Skrrrrrrr:
They should know this. They are professionals.
Instead Poole is whining about playing time and ignoring Green even though his performance has been abysmal.
Green is playing trash and doing podcasts.
Klay went on holidays.

By the way, Steph looks genuinely tired.
The man is exhausted. After that sacramento series, plus this lakers team. He has never had to play this much minutes.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 8:35am On May 11, 2023
Well the GOAT is a man among men. Asterisk suppose dey by that man career. cheesy grin. Exception to the rule .Exception to the rule.
A40:
Jordan did win his second 3peat at age 33-35 respectively though.

You might be right. He might be one of those that don't function well with stars and this is why Jordan deserves immense credit for winning that 3peat with Pippen.
Barkley and Olajuwon were two MVPS that played together. Pippen joined them and still failed to win. Drexler played two seasons with both and failed to win (for those that think that era was sweet)

I don't know that Sampson would have stayed healthy or remained consistently good enough for them to win. Two 7fters, hell one was 7ft plus.

I'm just pointing out the flaws in the Hakeem argument that are out there, hell some people say he only won cos MJ retired. I don't quite belong to that crowd and I even rate Hakeem over Shaq and just below Duncan. The thing with Hakeem and why he got so overlooked was even with his back to backs you didn't think juggernaut like the Lakers or Spurs
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 9:52pm On May 10, 2023
I would previously argue that as opposed to today when thanks to modern health methods, we will be seeing more and more Superstars extending their prime into their 30s, that wasn't the case in the 90s. Most Superstars would be close to average by the time they were 33. Even though I feel maybe he's just one of those stars that does not work well with co- Superstars. But we wouldn't have known this if they didn't come together in an experiment that for the most part failed. And there's the Sampson issue. He worked well with Sampson and they were on their way to perennial greatness. Instead of invoking these hypotheticals in his defense, it's much better to accept those as his failures. Similarly, for other greats, instead of coulda woulda. After all, they are humans.
A40:
Lol. They're not serious with their propaganda that they think helps their guy but actually does him a disservice. You can't say he's the greatest and perpetually cast him as the underdog even with superior or evenly matched squads. You are talking from both sides of your ass

Cos the first question thinking people will ask is how did They start 2-10 to begin with. Did Adam Silver punish them for an offense? Didn't everyone start 0-0? Why did they drop as low as 7th seed? Look around the league and tell me which team still standing has two top 75ers

Olajuwon was a beast for me the best defensive player in modern NBA history people don't know he's all time blocks leader. Really tough to order Shaq, Duncan and Olajuwon ultimately what works against Olajuwon is in his latter days he actually played with Barkley, Pippen, Drexler and failed to even sniff the Finals. That's the black mark on his record
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 8:29pm On May 10, 2023
Na their way be that. Cherrypick some facts, no context. But I love it. Let the narratives continue. We dey wait at the end with counter. cheesy grin. I love it when you built up a narrative and it just fizzles. Me never give up sha. Until my man is completely down I am still in this. cheesy grin.

But sha people dey underrate Olajuwon sha ooo. Folks don dey kick am out of top 10 for the likes of Curry. Person wey i dey still rate above Shaq. I will still take him over Duncan with 5 titles. The man was just unlucky that his career overlapped with the GOAT. For most of his career he played in a team with players ranging from unserious to fairly above average, especially in those titles. Those guys may have not been Super stars, but they were solid(at least many of them) and that was enough to will them to the titles.
A40:
This one is cap sha. Cos this is one of the most balanced teams he's ever been on. With a top 75er in his prime still averaging 25 and 12

The greatest individual ring still remains what Olajuwon did in 94 with that Rockets team and then what Dirk did in 2011 beating 3 HOFers in their prime.

This season can never top that
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 9:35pm On May 05, 2023
Let me ask this question again. Has Lebron ever been the reason his team lost? Ever? cheesy grin
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 9:40pm On May 01, 2023
I love it. cheesy grin
birdman:
steady, they have already started saying Lakers are the favorite shocked. Ha people, please fear God! Defending champs full squad, no injuries, versus a team put together in the last 2 months, with one superstar almost retiring, is now favorite. Lol!! So Vegas no sabi bball again? The excuses continue.

This is going to be tough. The main issue with warriors is they have a squad that has played together a long time, they know their rotation, all players know each other. I dont see what rotation Lakers could throw together that would slow down ball movement. This series, Lebron/AD will have find some magic. The role players cant possibly win this
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 10:47am On May 01, 2023
Fair point. Even though I want to, I cannot argue with this. cheesy grin. But stop running away, the discussion was on whether Lebron was Old or not. Don't bring that nonsense here. Some folks like @Birdman even dey round am up to 40, to make him even look older. That's unacceptable. cheesy grin
steady986:
Abi na you be the underdog? No be you be defending champion?
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 10:43am On May 01, 2023
'Stop this Nonsense' is what you want to hold against me? Are you kidding me? Mr custodian of Morality. This will be the last time I use it for you though, i apologize, it seems to hit you well. What nonsense. I am not sure which is more insulting though, that I tell you to stop telling us something that's not useful such as "Ah , they lost this series because Sabonis was terrible, especially in rebounding", well a team has to be better to win a series, coulda woulda is nonsense. If you point to Sabonis a golden state faithful can also say that if out bench was even a little better we would have ended them in 6 games, or if Poole wasn't terrible, SAC fans would also say oh, if Fox didn't get hurt, we could have won, then others could counter with he is shooting close to his season average and we definitely shouldn't be too forward to expect too much from him as it's his first postseason, then counter-counter, he was far from being efficient, and so on and so forth.

Which is more insulting though, that i tell you, "oh, stop this nonsense" or you calling some men weak? Make una help me. You try to correct me but end up using a worse language. Very interesting somebody. But don't worry i won't use that to address you again.

Stop this nonsense. It's a given that any team that loses has to have done something. They can try again next year. I hope their uptrend continues.
darkelf:
Even as a GSW, I am dismayed at how Damontas Sabonis (rebounds champ) gets out-rebounded by an undersized centre in Kevon Looney

Like how?

I feel this contributed hugely to their playoff loss
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 11:43pm On Apr 30, 2023
Dem don come again ooo with their underdog narrative. Lebron is Old. If i didn't know better I would think he's 10 years older than Curry. If you are old retire. cheesy grin
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 4:47pm On Apr 28, 2023
The pain was clear. It has to be very serious for you to have to invoke the GOAT. But the example is not useful, even though the GOAT had his struggles. By the way according to Jay Williams, failure can only be used in the context of a supposed bad father/parent. Very interesting people these talk heads.
Roland17:
I felt Giannis’s pain in that post game interview. I loved everything he said and admired how he tried to explain the situation and carried himself. The analogy using the GOAT was good but the GOAT thought differently about seasons when he did not win a ring with the Bulls .

Personally, I still think the season was a failure for the Bucks, only because they lost in the 1st round as the number 1 seed and he had a bad game when it mattered the most and it comes with the territory.

He just needs to pick himself up, hit the gym and improve on his free throws because it cost them that game 7.

Did I just hear you say you will take De Bruyne over Zizou? Did you think about this at all? You are such an unbelievable fellow. cheesy grin
TheGoodJoe:

From this clip, I will take Kevin De Bruyne due to effectiveness. There is hardly room for that much dilly-dallying on the ball today. The ball moves at a more rapid pace.

As Icon4s point, these guys would have been phenomenal playing the modern game because they would have played in a much more effective fashion.
