Not really that bad

Just watched the video attached. It looks fair but if going on a long distance travel, one would need more than one cylinder...which will further reduce the space....

How much of CNG is a full tank for that kind of cylinder?

Business / 5 Ways To Avoid Business Failure In Nigeria by BennyDGreat: 5:18pm On Dec 04, 2023
By Ebenezer Mabinuola

According to Business Day, a leading business newspaper in Nigeria, 80% of businesses in the MSME category in Africa, fold up within 5 years of establishment.

To avoid failure in business, here are some 5 strategies to deploy.

1. Have a business structure- Never run your business casually. Have a defined structure guiding your operation, payment of salary (including yours),
Knowing when to take a loan and when not to, having records....etc...

2. Be ahead- Be innovative with your business.
Look for ways to always stay ahead of awkward government policies by thinking ahead.

For example, always be on the look out for alternative supplier of raw materials in case government policy affects your current supplier.

3. Deliver top notch service always-A lot of Nigerian businesses don't prioritize customer service.

Always remember: One customer is a gateway to other customers when one customer is treated right.

One customer can equally bar other customers from coming when that one customer is treated wrongly and shares the negative review.

For Nigerian tailors, this has been a very big issue.
A number of them never keep to their word or treat customers poorly. I have experienced this myself on a number of occasions.

4. Choose value over aesthetics- learn to choose quality service and value on money spent over packaging with low value.

When starting out, focus on being known for the value you bring to the table not your packaging.

In the end, your brand worth is based on the value your customers derive from your product/ service not your branding.

So, do what you can to reduce cost...power generation cost- you could stick with fan instead of AC, office rental cost- choose a mainland location in Lagos instead of Island to save cost, office maintenance cost- use someone around the office axis to clean instead of employing a company to run it...etc

5. Be accountable- Belong to a community of business leaders who can guide you and hold you accountable to your dreams.

Carefully select an established business person to mentor you. This way, you can avoid pitfalls and move faster progressively.

People like Naijabrandchick, Triciabiz, Emeka Nobis, Paul Foh etc have strong communities for business owners. They have a track record of delivering and You can join any.

What other areas do you think people need to focus on when running a business in Nigeria?

Mods naijacutee, dominique, FOD, puskin FP please

Exactly! He possibly doesn't know the meaning of minimum wage. Here in Nigeria where an average spaghetti has turned to 650-700, I don't think those who collect 30k monthly can afford to buy those groceries 3 times out of their salary without being in trouble.

They dare not. They can only try to buy food outside maybe twice a day max

You think 6 figures, probably mid of it i.e 500k is a very big salary? LoL, bros na base on what you know and people you deal with go make you reason am say na one special payment.

Did you see the part where he mentioned two hours of work a week?

How many people do 8-10 hrs of work a month to earn like 500k+ naira?

If they give you this kind of side hustle will you reject?

By the way, 500k salary in Nigeria was worth 2000 dollars+ under Jonathan....but now worth less than 500 dollars.....500k naira salary is a good salary in Nigeria. Inflation caused by government mismanagement reduced it's worth.

It will take a lot of commitment from government to see the roads constructed and security put in place to attract the investors who want to enter into food processing

Actually it is fashion in Nigeria

We did not have any die by fire noise makers in the 70s. It was in the 80s we started having the Pentecostal Miracles and the likes of Bonnke coming to do fake miracles in Stadiums
That is fashion
It has passed

The simple truth is that there are so many versions of Christianity from Catholicism to Jehovah witness to Olumba Brotherhood to Synagogue of Nations etc They are all scams

That is the common denominator

Scams to deceive poor and ignorant people with their prosperity and miracle teachings
Ultimately they are BUSINESS

The earler Nigerians wake up to the scam of imported religions the better

You don't know what you are talking about the moment you mentioned Bonnke. There are people who witnessed the miraculous in those Bonnke meetings. Not staged. Real time miracles. Documented and recorded.

It must have been from the processing.
Most likely processed by folks who are eager to make quick gains. No care for quality.

Never try to hold anybody accountable for his expenditure because he's a public figure.

Use this same energy to hold your political office holders accountable. Hold them and leave all these talk.

So you’re asking banks to recapitalize in anticipation of $1tn gdp without workable and actionable plans.
For our Naija economy of $449bn gdp to hit $1tn in the next 8 years, it must grow @12-15% per annum ..who dash this power??
So you’re asking banks to recapitalize for a projected and unattainable number… which means that ,if they’re seeking for FDI, they’d be required to LIE that they operate in a gdp of $1tn instead of $440bn??

For FDI to come in...the government has to really stamp her feet on the ground on corruption, insecurity and sabotage of all sorts...

In several Nigerian state right?
Bros don’t be too blind sometimes. We love and celebrate these men. Yes, but no one is without faults.

The point you are trying to make is very awkward.

One, the person isn't a political office holder.
It's not his job to provide for people in all states.

Two, I don't think it's fair to talk trying to undermine his current contribution to the lives of people when you don't do half as much as he does.

Three, one man can never solve all the problems of the people. Even the government, no matter how effective, cannot.

Hmm as much as I applaud the ministry.
How about those at home. I mean expand the ministry here at home. Instead of just feeding the people why not create jobs , educate your people at home. N5million would go a long way at home.

Well..also know that they can't solve everyone's problem at home.

They already do so much on the home front.
5 million wouldn't solve so much at home looking at how big they are as a ministry. Believe me, their monthly spend on people a month could be running to 30-40m a month in Nigeria....

You still have not given any scripture so let's leave it at that. Let's learn to differentiate between Bible doctrine and denominational doctrine.

Do you honestly believe that your forefathers who married two wives went to hell because they are polygamists? Is David or Abraham or Jacob in hell?

Paul said that a man that will lead the church should be man of one wife.... church leaders not every Christian. Let's learn to understand the Bible for ourselves and not take denominational doctrines without asking questions

I like your questions. They are good questions.
However, I wasn't speaking from a denominational standpoint.

Two scriptures actually highlights God original intent for marriage

Genesis 2: 18-24
Matthew 19: 4-6

When Paul spoke about those who want to lead the church being a husband of one wife...why do you think he said so?

Those biblical characters you made mention of who practiced polygamy, recall that God permitted the polygamous culture because man in his fallen state couldn't have kept the original structure that God planned.

This was why God had to setup a redemption plan with Jesus at the centre because the lamb for an individual, family, tribe or nation wasn't once and forever.

Praktikals:

Thanks. I have a question. Will polygamy make a man an automatic candidate of hell. Please just answer Yes or No

Questions like this cannot be answered yes or no until certain truths are established from biblical standpoint, else there will be a disconnect between your current knowledge on the subject matter Vs the biblical standpoint or recommendation. This could cause further confusion.
