Eckankar is a religion on its own and it is not affiliated to any other religion. that means that we are not christians. we are Eckists.

Eckankar is the religion of the light and sound of God. It teaches you how you can see the light of God and hear the sound of God. the light and sound is the holy spirit which is God in expression.

so we are not bothered by whatever names you may call us. what matters in life is you learning how to love God and how to love your fellow man no matter what the person's religion or race is. experiencing this light and sound of God enables love to come into your heart. giving out this love to others then comes naturally to you.

it is evasiveness when one tries to make a certain knowledge exclusive by manupulating people. All knowledge(including spiritual ones can be verified-from the antecedents of , and from those who practice it, and its effect on people. A very important aspect of spiritual science is the fact that there has to be a moderator, like a master controller,one who sets the standard.Now, if this Master programmer or controller is not in synchronus with all the different platform for projecting such'spiritual science',then we have a deadlock.
In soul travel who determines the parameters eg if an eckist, axtian or a muslim soul travels,which master programmer controls the environment of the cosmic. Because this are the key issues why some posters have rightly say that its very dangerous. Even Armed Robbers have a good explanation why they rob and they know we wont understand, until we join them

i want you to understand that in Eckankar there is no manipulation. Eckankar does not claim to have monopoly over the word HU which singing of It leads to soul travel experiences.

you do not have to be a member of Eckankar to soul travel. that is why we keep on telling people to try it out for themselves.
the master programmer is the holy spirit whose job it is to lead all souls back to God.

all the spiritual masters who have graced the earth were simply channels for the holy spirit to use in reminding soul of its true nature and that we came from God and we are going back to God.

Since davidylan never answered, i dint want layers of posts not answering the question shift the expectation to a new thing/ By the way, you didnt answer. If you thought you did, you are completely wrong. Or may be it is safer tp blame the Bible for sayin there is HELL or Lake of Fire. I'm certain that i do not want to visit the christian heaven. And i do not wish any of them to visit musim Paradise. Please answer the question, if you can.

sorry if i didn't understand your question very well. if the question is "are jews going to heaven?" then my answer is yes. jews are going to their own heaven.

if you go through the last answer i gave you i made it clear that each religion have established their own place in the inner worlds. so naturally birds of the same feather will flock together. the inner worlds or what you term as heavens are so vast and there is enough rooms for every group.

that is why jesus said in my father's house there are many mansions and i am going to prepare for you a place" in this statement he was simply referring to the numerous heavens that exist and he was going to prepare a place for christians to go to when they translate.

likewise other religions also have their own place within these heavens. is there a hell? for me earth is hellish enough.

Ok, so Eckankar gives some kind of ecstatic feeling and experiences, but let me ask you, does Eckankar promise eternal life? And what about your sins? We all know that all humans beings have sinned (Romans 3:23). So in Eckankar, where's the atonement for sin? Whose blood takes away our sin? (Hebrews 9:22).

Eckankar does not just give some kind of ecstatic feeling and experiences, It opens your spiritual eyes to see the reality of life for yourself.
Eckankar does not just promise eternal life, it shows you that you are soul an eternal spark of God that lives for ever and that does not die. soul exist because of God's love for It. soul simply drops the physical body when the body becomes old and worn out or when it has finished learning the lessons of life needed in that particular body. concerning sins, such a concept does not exist in Eckankar. what we have are actions and reactions. whatever action you do will have a repercussion. that is whatever you sow you will reap. so Eckankar teaches self responsibility. you learn to take full responsibility for your own life and you do not blame anyone for your problems. if i as an Eckist do a bad thing i know that it is just a matter of time i will reap the result of my action. so you do not need any atonement or any blood to wash your sins away. when you sing HU, the love song to God, the holy spirit comes into your heart and you become a new person and giving love to your neighbor becomes a natural thing.

You have to understand an important fact about Christianity; we do not deny that there's power in other religions, groups, witchcraft, magic, etc. We acknowledge there's power in these, but the question is, can you find the true living God through these? Do they promise eternal life? Just because there's power in something doesn't make it the right path to follow.

sorry to disappoint you but really, there is no power in Eckankar. all we have is divine love. love for God, love for life, and love for our fellow man. that is why when you see an Eckist you will be surprised that he is just like the ordinary man on the street. but the difference you will find in us is that we love all life and we do not discriminate. love really is all that matters. i will remain ever grateful to Eckankar for enabling me to experience the light and sound of God for myself and not just relying on what someone tells me or what is written in a book.

Just because something seems real and enticing doesn't make it the TRUE way.

Eckankar does work with signs and wonder as is the case with Christianity and also you do not need to follow anyone but the holy spirit which is the voice of God that is within every soul. the holy spirit will lead you to all truth. the true way to God is not in any book or with anybody. it is within you. Eckankar simply shows you how you can go within yourself and find out the truth for yourself. your experience becomes your authority

Following God is more than just a feeling. Feelings can be deceiving at times.

Eckankar teaches you how you can become a co-worker with God. so it is not just about feelings. you will come to develop your own unique way of communicating with God. you will also be able to develop ability to know who is a false prophet and who is a true channel for God. but it is not just a matter of talking about it. Eckankar takes you beyond the scriptures to the path of knowing yourself and knowing God and finally becoming a purified channel for the love of God to flow to the world that is badly in need of love.

you have to understand that you can never understand a truth that you are not ready for. it is just like trying to teach quadratic equation to a primary one pupil. you will just end up confusing him the more.

and also the fact that you do not understand a concept does not make it false. just like the catholic church persecuting Galileo because they could not understand the concept of the earth revolving around the sun. but in time as one continues growing you will come to a moment when such concepts no longer confuse you.

thanks a lot for your question. i read all the posts in the topic "The Problem With Dreams, Visions And Clairvoyance" and i found them very interesting.

i can understand your misgivings about dreams, visions and clairvoyance because i once had them too. i laughed when you said that it is all in our heads i.e figments of our imagination. so i will try in my own little way to shed some light on the matter.

first you have to realise that the holy spirit is the source of dreams and visions. the holy spirit of course is God in expression. God communicates to us through the holy spirit which in ECK we refer to as the light and sound of God.

the holy spirit will approach each soul in a way that the soul is comfortable with. God can use any medium that a soul is comfortable with to communicate with that soul. God can use your mother or your father, for christians, Jesus and for buddhists, Buddha.

it really doesn't matter the medium what matters is the message. as you grow spiritually most of the illusions that we have about life usually drops and you will start seeing the drama of life more clearly. this is a very gradual process and it does not happen overnight.

the unique thing about ECKANKAR is that we are not asking anybody to believe anything said about truth. you must experience truth in order to know the truth.

the experiences i have had concerning dreams over the years i have been in ECKANKAR are my authority and not any other person's experiences. so what we are saying is that you have to make the effort to prove the reality of dreams ,visions and clairvoyance for yourself. nobody can do it for you.

very interesting question you have asked. i will start by telling you that first hell does not exist in the universes of God.

in spiritual geography what we have are levels of heaven or different planes. starting with the astral plane, causal plane, mental plane to the soul plane and on to the ocean of love and mercy.

the astral plane is the closest to the physical universe and where souls usually visit when they are sleeping and dreaming. there are many planes and within each are numerous subplanes. the plane or heaven where you end up is determined by your spiritual growth and level of consciouness.

the worst thing that can happen to a soul is being earth bound which i might term as a hell. being earth bound is a condition whereby a soul that has become too attached to material things of life is not able to cross the borders between the physical universe and the astral plane and becomes trapped on earth at the death of the physical body.

this explains the phenomenon of haunted houses where souls that have dropped their physical bodies are still trapped there and start disturbing other people that come there to live. being earth bound is the worst thing that can happen to soul as the spiritual growth of that soul grinds to a halt. i

in the inner planes, souls of similar level of consciousness naturally comes together at a place. so if you are a moslem you will definitely not see a christian in the heaven where you will go. unless there is a bond of love between you and that person.

thanks for your question. i was really a born again christian. my deep love for God lead me to an intense search for God. i needed answers to the questions about life. questions that Christianity had no answers to. i read the bible in and out looking for the answers but couldn't find them. the more i read the bible the more questions that i had.

the wonderful thing about ECKANKAR, the religion of the light and sound of God is that here words come to an end and experiences take over. you now have the opportunity to prove any believe that you come across and your experiences becomes your authority.

i have seen the light of God and i have heard the still small voice of God guiding me in my daily life. i have soul traveled to the heavens of God and came back with my memories intact. these experiences have turned me into a lover of life.

true spirituality is not about dogma, doctrines or reading of holy books. it is about experiencing the light and sound of God which is the Holy spirit manifesting to man.

i will not be talking about soul travel if i have not experienced it. my experiences are numerous and where do i start.

the problem is that only those who have had similar experiences will understand. others will say i am making it up.

i once had a friend who was a member of catholic church. he kept on pestering me to explain soul travel to him. i told him to try the spiritual exercises especially the singing of the holy name of God, HU. or he can say his holy rosary and ask God to show him the reality of soul travel.

one early morning he rushed to my room all excited and told me he tried what i told him and the next thing he knew he felt a strong wind blowing and he found himself out of the body and being flown at a very high speed to a place that was very beautiful. he thought he was dead and when he thought about his physical body he found himself back in his body.

he couldn't contain his excitement and he rushed straight to my room to tell about it.

you can validate the reality of soul travel by trying the spiritual exercises yourself. your experience becomes your authority and no one can take it from you.

i am a living proof of the falseness of the statement that it is only through jesus one can be saved.

i feel much more closer to God as an Eckist than i ever felt as a born again christian.

i have more love and no discriminations towards my fellow man as an Eckist than i ever felt as a christian during which i thought that christians were the only ones that God love.

but now i know that it is not true and that God allows for a million ways for soul to get to know It better and there is not just one way.

i quite disagree with you. the experience the woman had was a soul travel experience. she experienced herself as soul leaving the physical body but panic set in because of her lack of confidence and because she was afraid.

there is nothing to fear in out of body experience because it simply shows you that you are eternal and deathless.

it is only the physical body that is mortal. we Eckists do not fear death and when it comes calling we simply drop the physical body and cross the borders of death boldly and go to any of the heavens or planes of God to continue our work for God there.

my own answer to the question is yes jews are going to heaven.

and not only that, even moslems, hinduists, buddhists, atheists, christians etc are all going to heaven.

why? because we all came from heaven. heaven is our home. we are on earth to undergo schooling and after our schooling we simply go back home.

saying that Jews will not go to heaven is like saying that children who were sent to school should not go back to their homes after schooling.

no matter how you all argue about it, the fact still remains that we are all children of God.

i have carefully read your post and it simply confirmed what i already know about astral travel which is that it is very dangerous and limited. there is a mountain of difference between soul travel and astral travel. the following excerpts from the eckankar web site will throw more light.

i shed tears when i read the story.

i felt vindicated at last. for months now i have been talking about this type of experience in nairaland and how once you have it you will never be the same again.

for us in Eckankar this is an experience we take for granted because it is something we experience regularly. it is simply called soul travel.

we are souls and the physical body is simply like a clothing for soul. when the cloth becomes worn out soul simply drops it which is what happens at death.

soul does not die. it lives for ever. soul exist because God loves It.

there is no what if in the matter.

you have already hit the nail on the head.

the world is the way it is because that is the way that God wills it.

the purpose is for us to learn how to love. it will be too easy for us to love those that are like us. those who share the same views as us. so God mixed it up a bit and created different races, different religions and different cultures.

you as an individual soul have to strive to rise above these differences and love without bias or prejudices then and only then can you get close to God.

i have taken time to read through this thread and i find it quite interesting.

well for me i do not see tribes. i only see individuals in each tribes. and from my own experience having had the privilege of living in the west, east, south south, north east and north west of nigeria i have come to realise that tribal stereotypes can be very misleading and deceptive.

my contact with tribal stereotypes started in Imo state. in the east it is a general belief that people from mbaise are dangerous. i had close encounters with up to 10 mbaise people and i didn't see anything dangerous about them. till now 2 of my best friends are mbaise people.

then i went to university. which is a melting  pot. i had a kogi room mate, and 3 yoruba room mates. from the yorubas i learnt to take life easy and to enjoy life and from my kogi room mate i learnt how to share with others.

i looked out for the stereotypes in them i didn,t see any. mike and john were wonderful guys. we remained in contact even when they graduated. it was them that made me plan towards living in lagos after graduation.

then i went to the north and met another way of life altogether. northerners, truly wonderful people. simple minded, respectful and loyal. no wonder i decided to make my home in the north.

i have come to learn in life that tribe really does not matter. what matters is how much love an individual person have in life. once you have this love your actions go way beyond regional or tribal stereotypes.

right now i have wonderful friends that i can rely on any time from all the major tribes in nigeria. really nigerians are wonderful people, full of warmth.

ask any white man or woman that comes here. the emotional connections we have with each other is totally lacking in white man's land. and they envy us for it.
you may be surprised to find out that all the bad things that was listed about the ibos are definitely not in my character and i have also met yorubas, hausas who absolutely have none of the bad things said about their tribe.

i would advise that we start with ourselves. let us work on ourselves first then it will be easier to relate with others from other tribes without bias.

God will never leave the world without a living representative of Itself.

This is a person who is filled with love for all life and who is a channel for the holy spirit of God.

His work is to take all ready souls back to God.

He is THE MAHANTA, THE LIVING ECK MASTER.

but unfortunately like i have said before, a religion will always be judged by the behaviour of its members.

not every body has the time to go and start studying the holy books of a religion but what they do is to watch the adherents of that religion to see if the religion has a positive change on that person. to see if the person has more love in him or her as a result of practicing that religion.

that is why when a group of religious followers carries out a certain action which is detrimental to others, people will automatically equate that action to their religion and this is exactly what has happened with islam today.
