PoliticsRe: What Did Goodluck Actually Do In Bayelsa State? by Bensonite: 8:03pm On May 18, 2011
All you NLers hater of GEJ pulled him down before the election. Reading some of your comments I thought the election was already won by Buhari but that is now history, Allow the man to succeed in the task of Governance. Nigerians claim to be religious Christains and Muslims. The best the holy books says about leaders is to pray for them! Unfortunately some of the people criticising him dont have integrity in their private lifes, bad manners, cheats, never-do wells, unsuccessful people, cannot even crotrol your homes, etc yet you are the first to attack.
When you keep asking what has he done in BAYELSA dont you know that bringing a Federal University is a lot of achievement. As a governor Bayelsa saw completion of many projects. You want to hear that gigantic project like monorail was done before you get satisfied!
PoliticsRe: Jonathan 'Slashes' National Assembly Member's Allowance by Bensonite: 11:19am On May 18, 2011
In a recent publication it was revealed that the average law maker takes no more than $2000(N300,000) in GHANA and this is inclusive salary, allowances, etc etc and yet they do the real business of making laws that will better the common man. Contrary in Nigeria, personal assistant to LGA Chairman will frown at that amount when he knows how much his masters take home. The question is who fixes salary and allowances in Nigeria? I guess in advance democracy the elected leaders do not decide what they take home as the responsibility is saddled with a neutral body.

May you wipe(not Nigeria) and never end as you choose to be lazy. If tribal sentiment made GEJ to win then those of us from ND are most luckiest been the majority tribe and will always occupy the presidency. You guys criticizing of GEJ is nothing short of tribal affiliation and sentiments. He does what is good, you condemn him or does otherwise still kill him. Criticising is an acceptble norm in any civilised nation but must be constructive. In one of the recent post someone was suggesting that GEJ should stop putting on the traditional etibo of the Ijaw nation but should wear agbada.

Mr Man - you can do better than this - why do u i have to contact an agency to find out how a servant leader has impacted the lives of the masses. The impact if any should be clearly visible. For your information many know GEJ never impacted the lives of people of bayesla in fact if you would like to know the man left behind a debt of N58 BILLION for a state that collects the 2nd highest federal allocation in the country and population of about 1.5 Million people . Bayesla has 2nd highest unemployment figures in country.

The thread was started to give your likes the benefit of doubt just in case we missed something in relation to what the GEJ achieved - yet so far all the GEJ supporters have failed woefully.
I believe you just resurrected from dead. I said counter me and you are running a way like xmas chicken.
PoliticsRe: What Did Goodluck Actually Do In Bayelsa State? by Bensonite: 9:03am On May 18, 2011
Werepeleri,
Dont bother to argue with this folks here in NL. NL is not the reality of Nigeria. Prior to the election, the GMB had already won on NL but the reality came on April 16 and we all know. NLers claim they know better than the rest of Nigerians but this has often been proven wrong. I guess people who are bored just run down to the site and put up stupid arguements and get entertained.
To the questions been asked, I guess most of you have never been to ND or Bayelsa and you relly on hearsay or gossips. GEJ is human and has his limitations but certainly not the way you guys portray him to be. I strongly believe that simply because a SS has attend the highest post in the some of you may want to develop BP or attempt suicide.
As Governor after taking over from Alams he continued with the ongoing projects and completed severally housing projects for civil servants in Yenagoa. The state governement oversea scholarship scheme for Bayelsans continued(many of my childhood friends benefitted). The new gate to Bayelsa after Mbiama was initiated and was well funded. The links roads within the state capitals were continually been constructed. The Niger Delta University was still been constructed and graduates of oversea scholarships were made to lecture in the university to increase human capacity. There are many things to mention that were achieved while he was Governor for approximately 2years. Tell me how many Governors did miracle in two years in their state in Nigeria.
I want anyone to counter me then I continue!

come to think of it there is a story of GEJ ordering d fall in cement prices, this affects everyone yet it did not make headline news, rather accepting sgf is the main news, abeg i can bet £1000, that someone paid vanguard to ensure this article is front page
The fall in cement price will not make news on NL as NLers are always anti-GEJ. If the news was something else they will rush and post nonesense. I do not think NL reflects the views of the average Nigerians in the street or village. The elections proved this assertion right.
PoliticsRe: Video: Pdp "Underage" Vote Rigging In Action by Bensonite: 3:42pm On May 16, 2011
woodcook:
My observations;
1. I thought that corpers were in charge of 2011 election, I didn't recall seeing any "corper" in those videos.
2. If that is case it is possible that this might be from different election as there was no date on the recording.
3. If the said videos were actually true why then do the people (Northerners) that help rigged PDP in went on rampage after the result was announced or where they expecting different outcome ?

Please I guess my observation may be faulty someone shld plz beat me back into line.
My brother you are not wrong on the above assertions. This was probably a set up or 2007 elections as their is no evidence to prove that it was 2011 elections. Moreso, it can well be an acted firm to discredit the 2011 elections. Nigerians on NL believe anything posted. The case is now in the tribunal so lets see how CPC will prove that the elections were reasonably flawed.
PoliticsRe: Speaker: We’ll Report Jonathan To Ojukwu–apga by Bensonite: 4:04pm On May 13, 2011
Jah Man:
This is my advice:

If you are from the SE on this NL stop responding to threads meant to insult or infuriate the Igbos.
What we need in SE is not senate presidency, speaker,SGF,or any Abuja appointment.

Let us pray for Rochas to make good his confessions.Let Imo be liberated and industrialized.
Let Sullivan maintain and increase the rate of infratsructural development in Enugu.
Let Peter Obi get challenged to develop Anambra.
Let Elechi and T.Orji get ashamed and challenged to develop Ebonyi and Abia respectively.

By the time Enugu and Owerri airports are busy due to many people visiting our towns;
Aba,Onitsha and Nnewi markets become more popular than Alaba,Trade Fair and Kano because there is an enabling environment to live and do business in the SE,then we are made.
Any ranting from the SE at that time will unseat the FG.
For now,we are making empty threats and appointments will do little or nothing to develop the region.
I had begun praying for SE even before the elections.
Even if my prayers achieved nothing,Sullivan got his second term and Rochas defeated Ohakim.

We will get there because SE serves a living God.
Good talk. I am neither SW nor SE but guys learn from the above advice.
PoliticsRe: Militants And Jtf In Gun Battle In Delta State by Bensonite: 11:00pm On May 12, 2011
When it is the north the soldiers will say they have not been ordered to shoot but in ND even if there is no militant camp they will go bombard and claim victory after killing innocent people. I can authoritatively say that since the main agitation started in ND when Asari and later Henry Okah were arrested, the military had suffered more loss than the militants. Most of my military friends cell number aint going anymore- you guess what. The military is Federal and involves every Nigerian hence I do not encourage their demise but their commanders should no spark up a new war as we do not want to go into this again. Let post amnesty work fine and tackle development in ND and take the oil if you which and we all leave in peace.

PoliticsRe: Pdp Drags Buhari To Tribunal •moves To Nullify 6m Cpc Votes •to Prove Underage V by Bensonite: 2:28pm On May 11, 2011
Kobojunkie:
Under-aged voters who were allowed to vote by Jega, and whose votes were LEGALLY counted by Jega, is CPC's fault?? What shall we never hear of again in this country oooo!!! Gosh, Nigerians really deserve the sort of people they continue to allow to rule them. How can anyone in his right senses even suggest this makes sense? tongue tongue tongue tongue
So you are telling us JEGA is now law enforcement agent. Have you not heard from some of the slain corpers before their death that they attempt to stop underaged voters but were nearly lynched by CPC thugs. My little cousin told me how they almost beat her up during the registration exercise when she refused to register underaged voters. So the problem is systemic not JEGA OR GEJ.
NYSCRe: FG Promises N5m Each To Families Of Slain Corps Members by Bensonite: 12:08pm On May 11, 2011
I can see that some of the post here is just targetted at the president and not the perpetrators of this violence. Your hate for GEJ will cause some of you to have high BP and die young as you have failed to reason properly. If paltry N5 mn was not mentioned we will still complain. The truth is no amount will equal human life. The government has taken some steps by trying to employ siblings of the deceased and stating clearly the money given was just to share in their grief and not compensation. The president ordered them to move straight from his office to NYSC to get the money paid.
As starting point over 500persons have been arrested in connection to the killings, and what we expect is speedy trial to bring them to book. Your aspersions on Mr President will not solve the problem.
PoliticsRe: Ikedi Ohakim Writes President Jonathan/APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL APPOINTMENT by Bensonite: 11:32pm On May 10, 2011
The title should be APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL APPOINTMENT. He is already jobless after may 29 no choice. If GEJ considers him for minister I will be most disappointed.

PoliticsRe: Amaechis Port Harcourt! by Bensonite: 4:23pm On May 10, 2011
Amaechi is doing great in Rivers State and that is what we expect from an elected government. The schools and hospitals are scattered all round the state but we would need some of these mega projects like flyovers sited in other potential cities like Bori, Omuku, Degema, etc.

Phantom et al
You guys are non-indigense so do not say what you do not know about the ownership of Port Harcourt. ABAGWORO summaries it succintly and thats all. let sleeping dog lie!

Spyker:
I don't know of other states but I will certainly tell you that there was no election in Rivers State, the entire process was a smoke screen to cover the very obvious rigging machine of the PDP and that of the INEC.
For me, 2011 election in Rivers State is a disgrace to Professor Jega, INEC and PDP.
The elections in 2011 are generally good but we are far from the best. Rivers State was a shame in the elections. My respect goes mostly to the SW people.
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s CPC Sues Jega, INEC by Bensonite: 12:04am On May 08, 2011
kokogee:
I don't know if u cannot read properly, but if u go back to my comment, I said Bhari said he would not go to court personally but he would not stop the party from going to court. The party is an organisation (a legal entity) while Buhari is a person. Both may go to court, which would mean two ppl joining in he suit.

If u think CPC =Buhari, u need to back to school bcs legally CPC is an entity different from Buhari. An example is the case of the sacked MDs(perceived by many to be the same as the banks) of some banks; ordinary ppl that think like u would say Ibru=Oceanic. USE your HEAD AND THINK.

And what is the big deal if a result is challenged in the court? Is it against the Nigeria constitution to challenge election results in court.
You are the greatest fool on earth since you cannot read properly. On my post I stated the issue of party contesting the result was made on the day of the election when he knew the tide was against him. Big fool you are for your analogy of Ibru=Oceanic as their is no link with the subject matter. CPC will die a natural death after they lose in the court. Those few who won on that platform will need to get to other party as CPC=VIOLENCE.
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s CPC Sues Jega, INEC by Bensonite: 11:23pm On May 07, 2011
Dayolove,
No one is saying CPC or Buhari should not go to court. We are only x-ray their pre -election statements and no one should argue the obvious. Like you cited the promises made by GEJ as highlighted and posted on NL  if tomorrow PDP or GEJ give excuse for not fulfilling them wont you rush to NL and make it known to the world.
Your argument about objectivity is flawed in many sense but I am not ready for that now. Anyone can leave the forum it does not add food on anyones table so nobody cares!
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s CPC Sues Jega, INEC by Bensonite: 11:07pm On May 07, 2011
kokogee:
I think the problem with Nigerians is that they use their personal view to judge issues instead of looking at issues objectively.

The truth is that on April 16, Channels tv aired an interview with Buhari where he was asked what he felt about the election; his(Buhari) reply was that there were reports of electoral frauds that he was getting from party member and that if the fraud made GEJ to win, he(Buhari) as a person will not go to court like before but his party(CPC) is free to contest any election results it felt were not justified.

Aside from the above, I don't know if going to court to contest election results is a crime. Afterall, proofs and evidences would be examined to determine the case at hand and whatever the result should be accepted in good faith.
Tell me what is the sense in the aboved bolded. Do want to argue that Buhari never said he was not going to contest the result. If on the day of the election knowing fully well he was going to lose badly made a slight u-turn to speak on behave of the party that they may go to court if they so wish. You mean you do not know CPC= BUHARI and can not be separated.
Think before posting a counter!

abibio2001:
I really dont understand why all the fuss about CPC not accepting the election results and going to court. We keep shouting democracy, democracy, rule of law, rule of law yet we are anti-democratic and against the rule of law in the real sense of it. CPC and indeed any other party for that matter has every right to reject any election results and go to court, abi does that stop GEJ from being sworn in on May 29, so whats the fuss about, thats the beauty of democracy and rule of law, everyone has a right to his opinion and to pursue the fulfillment of his opinion within the ambits of the law except we are just hypocritical about practicising democracy and the rule of law
Surely it does not stop GEJ from being sworn in. The surprise is that Buhari said severally that he was not going to challenge the results. He had a plan B to use the aboki to kill sourtherners/chriatains and cause the country to go to war because of his ambition but now he his going to court after some corpers  and sourtherners killed .
PoliticsRe: Two Years Remembrance Of Yar'adua by Bensonite: 12:45am On May 06, 2011

As for me wey used to sleep with two eyes open with different kind of machine gun sound ratatatatatatattattt, I am happy for the relative peace. I can forgive him of all his inadequacies.
PoliticsRe: Sagamite's Analysis Of State Governors by Bensonite: 4:08pm On May 03, 2011
Sagamite,
I think your analysis is good for most of the governors, however on Amaechi of Rivers State, you need to add insolence to his cons as it well known fact he does not respect anyone(citing utterance made on white coach or not for super eagles is one out of a million we have seen in Rivers State). Ironically in terms of development of the state he can be rated top notch.
PoliticsRe: Governor Alao Akala's Press Release After Election by Bensonite: 4:46pm On Apr 29, 2011
This elections has made me respect the SW the more. I would say all other geopolitical zones in the country should learn from them. My brothers in ND would not allow a free and fair election and would do everything to steal their way back. Surprising a 32 member house of assembly will be won by one party PDP meaning all their candidates were better than the opposition put together. This is the reason no one can congratulate them and are termed bitter losers. Since 1999 SW has highly reduced rigging  noticed (if any at all) while SS has developed to credible, free and fair way of rigging in 2011.

We are busy posting about ballots being snatched. How many people making these posts took pictures/videos with the phones to upload here as confirmation? How many people realise that only evidence will allow INEC to do the right thing when thugs and/or INEC staff disrupt elections? Can Goodluck and Jega be present in the same place with 150million nigerians at the same time?

We all have a part to play. Where i voted in surulere lagos, everything was peaceful and serene as it should be. Where things dont go according to plan, our role is to document these abuses so that they can be corrected. When a policeman shoots someone dead without cause, is it by bitching about it on NL that you get justice or do we get justice by taking down his name and details about the incident, getting eyewitness evidence or photographic evidence that can be used to prosecute that rogue police officer?

There are too many internet warriors on NL that are so happy to point out what is wrong yet wont lift a finger to help. The worst/craziest ones are the non-naija based assholes who sit outside the country and see no good or progress in all that is happening here. They just naughty woman and naughty woman and naughty woman, yet even the countries where they reside aint perfect.

When you want to post, please back it up with evidence that can be used. While posting on NL is good, lets remember NL aint consider a worthwhile source of evidence in the election petition tribunal
Thank you. Ho

Tony Momoh must be stupid for mentioning Port Harcourt. The national chairman of CPC as well as Buhari are not in touch with reality. They claimed their were low voter turn out in SS/SE- now shooting in Port Harcourt.
GEJ is wasting time not arresting them after they incited the violence. Buhari forsaw his failure and made statements that will incite these mad dogs.
