PoliticsRe: ''Enough Is Enough''- Jonathan Warns Perpetrators Of Violence - Full Speech by Bensonite: 8:50am On Apr 21, 2011
Mr President has done what he should do by engaging the military with specific instructions and holding meetings with leaders to control the violence. In the light of the above, my feeling is the hatred for other religions especially Christians by Muslims is registered in their mind and difficult to control or eliminate by use of military force. This is part of the reason Jos is still boiling every now and then in spite of the changes of the military command.
We in the ND are watching and following this ugly trend closely and it will shock Nigeria when full vengeance/war will be waged against Islam/Muslim. Now that we have the presidency for 4years GEJ should call for nation sovereign conference so each ethnic nationalities will deliberate and agree how we want to move forward/disintegrate this contraption called Nigeria. WE ARE WATCHING, BUT ACTION IS BECOMING INEVITABLE.

Olokode:
That Buhari and Bakare are responsible for post-election violence is a fact established beyond the status of a mere allegation. A warrant for this claim lies in the Gombe and Nasarawa pre-election arson and stoning by their supporters, which the General publicly apologised over. Really, such pre-poll hate evangelism by the duo would lead to nothing but violence. To be sure, Pastor Bakare was in Maiduguri where he publicly proclaimed, 'PDP is Haram' as if to provoke the same negative reactions as in 'Boko Haram' slogan. And, to restore peace nd salvage whatever is left of their image, the duo must resort to statemanship -paying a congratulatory visit to the President, dine and wine with him in a globally televised event. Doing so without wasting time will surely bring an immediate end to the senseless carnage. No amount of rebuttal can obliterate their connection to the whole saga.
Good talk but where they fail and the carnage continues, Government should hold them responsible for inciting this violence in the first place.

Once upon a time there were three business partners whose names are Ayodele, Musa, and Okechukwu. They opened a joint business bank account and the arrangement was that all the income from their business activities would be paid into the account. Every four years they hold a general meeting with their shareholders to decide who should be the CEO. However after a few years it was noticed that the contribution from Ayodele and Okechukwu to the business profits was rising while that of Musa was decreasing. At the last meeting which was held on 16 April 2011, Musa said that it was his turn to become the CEO but when it was put to him that his contribution to the fortunes of the business was way below that of his two business partners, he came up with the ingenious argument that what really mattered was that they had an ongoing business together and their individual contributions were immaterial. He also said that if Ayodele and Okechukwu continue to insist that he cannot be the CEO, he would disrupt the operations of the business, burn down the Head Office and kill Ayodele and Okechukwu's children. Ayodele and Okechukwu have now come to you for advice. What would your advice to them be?

(The names in the scenario above are entirely fictional and any resemblance to any persons living or dead, or any recent events particularly in the West African region is coincidental)
Good piece I must tell you. On my opinion, Ayodele and Okechukwu would need to end whatever agreement they had earlier and start theirs separately since Musa has chosen to be lazy. You can not reap where you do not sow. Shekena!

Our President has won himself another 4 years in office and inasmuch as I am unhappy about this I want to appeal to our brothers in the North to put an end to the senseless killings and destruction of private properties going on there.

Jonathan has not won fairly in my opinion. The figures from the south south, south east are so ridiculous! Some of these states had Jonathan getting over 90% of votes cast! I am highly disappointed at reasons why some pple voted Jonathan. Most of the voters I spoke to voted based on ethnic lines. I remember my uncle telling me that I should vote for Jonathan because if he doesnt get the presidency than it will take us another 25 years to get there!

Personally I have nothing against Jonathan as a person, I just think he
Getting 4 years is a very big mistake as he is not only clueless on what to do to make Nigeria work but he lacks the political will to make the necessary changes we need to see. I hope I am wrong though.

I can very well predict our next minister of Health in the person of Iyabo Obasanjo. Maybe Alams and Ibori will also be in the list too. Its also possible for him to bring in Thieves like Tafa Balogun to head the Police ministry. Time will tell

COMPAQ:
I have heard 2 confirmed cases of ballot stuffing and thumb printing of empty ballot papers in Rivers and Bayelsa. The results were obviously rigged in the SE and SS. The percenages of registered voters that "voted" were too high relative to the rest of the country (have the SE and SS suddenly become so much more politically aware than everyone else?). And of those who voted, the % for PDP was also too high relative to the opposition. As a Professor of Political Science said on NTA yesterday, in the best of cases, a popular candidate will get maybe 60%-70%, but certainly not 95%-97% as we had in SS and SE.

I am sure most of us have seen the video of a woman thumbprinting empty ballot papers in River state. That is additional proof of what went on the the SE and SS.
COMPAQ,
Please leave Rivers and Bayelsa alone-we are twin brothers. One of our own who is more credible nationwide is contesting and you expect us to go to fishing and farming that day. I had to make my very old mummy  and all family members vote so we dont lose anything cant you understand the zeal.In a line of 700 people queing to vote, you hardly find 10 voting GMB. Why don't you complain of the confirmed under-aged voting in some parts of the north.

The woman thumb printing was alleged to be on the NASS election day without evidence that she was thumb printing for PDP.

The usual Nigerian rambling, making no sense. Farud is fraud, whether by Jonathan or Buhari. We need to sanitize Nigeria, a country riddled with fraud of unimaginable proportion. People of your ilk see no problem with fraud and corruption-the biggest problem Nigeria has today. I believe you are a Christian (fake, I assume), the wages of sin (fraud) is death whether you like it or not. Incidentally, the last time Nigeria made any genuine attempt to fight corruption was under Buhari-that indeed makes him a saint at least by Nigeria's pathetic standards

I would have engaged you word for word but I do not think  I have time for lilluputians with myopic world view. Have you not heard or seen that saint Buhari said Sani Abacha did not steal-what corruption could be worst than this? I guess you are also a christain, but you don't come here and place curse on people for what you cannot substantiate. Do not judge so you may not be judged. We can not continue to have losers as winners of elections in Nigeria. We can not continue to allow fraud to thrive in Nigeria. Where other states are 50% voters, SS and SE are having 80%, 90% and 100%. Let the riggers of this election as well as their families, supporters be cursed forever and may God never answer their prayers.
I expect you to cry but you came here writing rubbish. If SS and SE are really serious people we would have got 95% turn out and 99% in favour of GEJ. I am surprised in Rivers with 2.4million registered only 1.8million voted.
Please go and tell him to raise money from Mohammed Abachi to get the forensic experts. You will be shocked that they will find all the CPC votes from underaged children.
If he had won you would have flooded this site with all manner of clean, free and fair posts.  GEJ said on the day of the election that he would hand over should he lose as he has committed to make himself sacrificial lamb but quite contrary your saint Buhar started crying foul that planes are flying at night to katsina and so the election will not be free and he knows perhaps he would lose and concluded he may not go to court but his party may go.

Election day! make una see prayer points o! If you can say Amen to any of these prayers please go to the polls and vote for PDP:
1. May your lives and businesses be run exactly the same way the PDP has been running Nigeria for the past 12 years.
2. May your life be as bright as PDP has lit Nigeria with electricity.
3. May your journey in life be as smooth as the interstate roads in Nigeria.
4. May your home be as organised and as beautiful as Murtala Mohammed Airport.
5. May your life savings be managed as PDP has managed Nigeria's foreign reserve.
6. May your family experience the peace and love that the people of Jos have experienced in 4 years.
7. May your children's education and working career reflect the standard of education in Nigeria.
If you were able to say Amen to just one please feel free to vote PDP on Saturday. If not, then you have the power to give CPC/ACN a chance to correct all these defects of PDP.
Let us vote wisely. Its not only about a personality. Let us think and ask ourselves this question: "is it proper that the party that brought us to this mess be the same party to lead us into the future?" Think Nigerians, think.
Why all this again. Go and vote before all the curse comes to you. Typical of all BB guys like father like children. GEJ all the way.

I know he was in Portharcourt -- where in the south are you saying he refused to show up?

I could not say what people down there feel . . .  I am simply irritated by people pretending his campaign was simply a northern one when there are records of the train showing up in some major southern cities. Comparing it to the Jonathan campaign, which almost seems to have trillions of naira at it's disposal ( with the free money packages, the products, songs, celebrity clout) will be unfair considering many of the Buhari campaigners had to dig into their pockets to fund their part in the whole.
Yes he showed in Port Harcourt to see the governor and was well received. His VP visited last two weeks at the hotel presidential. This does not translate to campaigning. Every past presidential aspirants value Rivers State even if you dont get all the support there. So many people felt bad any way may due to budget. So please GEJ carries the day since he has national spread and acceptance.

Buhari never made himself a candidate for just the core North. He made an apperance in at least each state(his campaign was allowed to) both up north and down south -- Not certain why you feel he made more in the north than down in the south. Also in a civilized country, candidates base their campaign on their budget. I believe the reason why the Buhari campaign took off only a couple of months to election was because of limited funds. And also, in a civilized country, there are NO RULES barring candidates from campaigning two months to election. So, stop pretending your view is law!

Buhari is not the only candidate on the ballot  . . . so the reasoning you give above is in layman's terms BULL. There are other candidates on that ballot and if Buhari does not meet the need, individuals have other candidates but Jonathan to consider.
I think I disagree with you on his campaigning. He was well received by Rivers State governor but never did any campaign in the treasure base of the nation. How do you think people down here who had wanted to vote him would feel?

It takes only a fool to read stories like this and believe them. Pro BB are the greatest liars. Saturday taught them a lesson and the coming saturday should teach them more. I am glad saturday is not to far for Buhari retirement. My only sympathy is Shekaru who seems very sound but not getting a national support that much but 2015 can make a difference if he picks Pat Utomi as VP or work with Fashola.

They clamoured for Beaf and GEJ supporters as if they will shew them raw-doing their normal name calling.
One thing they fail to realise most pro GEJ supporters are not PDP members or supportes but people who analyse issues objectively and believes GEJ is more suitable than Buhari or Ribadu at this 2011 elections. A NASS members with no clear majority will help the country better! my thoughts.

Please let's get back to election results. I will appreciate if you don't 'reply' my post. Let's not derail this, Ejor, Biko, (not sure how to say this in hausa). Election results are more important at this time than the bickering and name calling.

Nigeria will not end because Buhari will never win. He cannot win 24 out of 36 states. GEJ has over 20 states at ease for a start. His VP Bakere visited Port Harcourt this week at the hotel presidential and we saw less than 80 people in attendance. I spoke to some of my friends contesting under CPC they are all voting GEJ in the presidency but need other platforms to contest against incumbents PDP in state house of assembly and other positions. El Rufai was the chairman of the occassion- as you know he his now in CPC though currently been tried by EFCC for corruption.
GEJ has graciously accepted that should he lose He would accept the results but a failing Buhari told Nigerians that even with one-man-vote if he loses the elections was rigged and there would be trouble. You can see the difference between the two persons. GEJ repeated yesterday that no elective position deserve the death of a Nigerian but contrary BB team thinks differently. In most states where they claim violence against opposition-investigations/facts reveal these were the former thugs of PDP that find themselves in ACN/CPC that wants to disturb the public peace but became unlucky.

Buhari is a coupist and should be charged for treason and violating the constitution of Nigeria. The 1979 constitution which was in place when Buhari committed that crime called coup reads in part" The Federal Republic of Nigeria shall not be governed, nor shall person or group of persons take control of the government of Nigeria or any part thereof, except in accordance with the provisions of the constitution".
Has he been tried or ever apologised to Nigerians,
Talking about his public speech - I am ashamed that He is not only poor in the use of English but also has low IQ. I am wondering if he ever passed any exam but planning coup. During his military dictatorship, Idiagbom did most of the speaking since he is lazy.
