If the dollar drops down to N150, then petrol may sell for N100 or less (if govt tightens the noose on Dangote to not inflate his profits). If the dollar remains at N750, petrol prices would remain high except govt subsidizes.

Normally, raw materials like crude oil that are domiciled in the country should be sold cheaper as a form of incentive to provide a moderate fuel price!

The Refinery is located in a tax free trading zone.

As much as this will encourage a drastic reduction of the price,that will be very hard in a country in need of more taxes to pay for their humongous debts!

Its possible if the following are strictly adhered to......

1. Other local refineries should start working immediately in order to create competition which will ensure the prices reduce!
2.Crude oil is sold to local refineries in naira and at a slightly affordable rate
3.There must be constant and reliable power supply to the refineries
4.There must be tax incentives to encourage refineries to moderate their price.
