Did God named the day he rested "Saturday" how do you know that God started counting the days of the week on Sunday?

I think there is nothing like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday during the time. He just counted the days of creation as day 1,2,3,4,5,6 and he rested on seventh day. So any religion can start counting their own from any day of the week. Provided that there is one particular to represent the day God rested.

Even the calendar we are using was not made by God, is man made. God has his own way of counting days. That is why we say God's time is the best.

If you are in Catholic and chose not to be bowing down to image or praying to Mary, i think no body will forcefully compel you to do so or better still go and establish your own church exactly the way God wants it.
