This dishonorable was brought to FMC Keffi in d evening of Wednesday last week.
Came with an offduty nurse from the center who wanted to stampede the casualty officer(emergency room doctor) into admitting him straight to the VIP ward cos according to him,d patient was a known diabetic whose blood sugar went up.
Luckily, immediately d doctor heard 'honorable', his antenna went up.He insisted that he'll take at least a brief history and insisted the patient puts on a facemask and be brought into d outer part of the emergency as against what d nurse was saying(he wanted honorable to be seen in d car and transferred sharp sharp to the VIP ward)
Doctor asked for hx including of fever and cough,they denied that of cough but agreed he had fever b4 and was treated at home.The vital signs he was given by d same nurse that brought d patient said temperature was within normal range(possible error from the infrared thermometer).
While this was going on,d patient started coughing. The doctor rechecked d temperature with a simpler thermometer,lo and behold it indicated the man had fever.Of course, they never mentioned the fact that he had been to several hospitals.
He made a decision to transfer d patient to an isolation room(on govt paper FMC Keffi is an isolation center but it's just a small cubicle inside d A&E).
Meanwhile,d nurse was mounting pressure that d patient be transferred to VIP(where definitely he would've infected many other ppl esp staff) and even involved other member of d staff of FMC to pressurize d doctor but the doctor stood his ground and insisted d patient can only go to d isolation cubicle.
Unfortunately,d patient died d following day and by Saturday, his sample that was collected came out positive.

Prevention they say is better than cure. With over 3million people already infected by the novel corona virus and with over 200thousand fatalities, the war against this pandemic seems not to have been abated regardless of all the sophisticated schemes already provided by humans.
First, it was the social/physical distancing, then afterwards was the total lock down. When the former seems not to be working, the latter was then imposed globally infringing on the most enjoyed human right:the right to movement and consequently association.
Moreover, several nations have introduced even stricter measures alongside the traditional guidelines provided by WHO all in a bid to put a stop to the ravaging/ubiquitous human enemy.
But the question in the mind of concerned persons even in the face of the soaring cases of infection and death would likely be: are we winning this war; are we nearing the end if this dark tunnel?
Amongst these questions, however, one personal observation I have made is that humanity has seemed ever united against this common enemy regardless of race, color, economic control and other factors. Nobody wants to be left at the rear end of this battle. Interestingly, no one wants to be left behind.
However, there is a parallel war ongoing which no one seems to pay attention to; though deadlier and more ubiquitously infectious. Surprisingly, no one seems to be raising any concern or attention over this imminently human virus. And more surprisingly, every one is infected: no one is free.
More so, there is no guarantee of self isolation from this much deadlier virus. [b]No need for anyone to be infected before being quarantined: everyone is infected. [/b]It is as old as life and existence and none is obviously winning the war. All the schemes of science and technology can't afford deliverance from the impending death awaiting everything and everyone already infected.
This is the ravaging war between humanity and sin. It is by all measure more infectious than all the family is SARS put together.
And since all is infected and there is no vaccine for it, how then can anyone be free?
The only vaccine provided against sin and its powers is the cross of Jesus. He had to taste the terror of sin itself---death, for him to set us at liberty. This happened while God became a man in other to die and bring rescue for all.
But just like every vaccine, the recipient must agree to its use and effect willingly without force. Every one who must be free and protected must embrace the finished work of Jesus on the cross by simple faith of trusting Jesus and putting all faith in him.
The war against sin is already won. Just believe.

I completely disagree. In Sharia countries where women are completely covered- men are vibrating from seeing a girls shoulder. In nigeria, men vibrate when they see thighs. In Europe where dressing is scandalous, men vibrate only for naked women. It shows that its not what the woman is wearing that is the issue, otherwise all men would behave the same to the same amount of exposure.

The point I am trying to make is, we are not a rich nation, and to be a rich nation we have to stop relying on selling raw materials, and rely on brain power.

But those nations you mentioned

1.Russia is also an industrial nation, and earns billions from selling industrial products, and tourisim, and also sells most of its gas

2.UAE produces the same amount of oil Nigeria has, for a population of 11 million people. (And their economy is diversified to boot)

3.Saudi Arabia produces five times the amount of oil Nigeria produces for 12 million people.(And let's not even mention the billions it earns from hosting Islam's holiest site)

4.African oil producers for the most part...aren't doing much about palliatives. But a quick check....

Angola is Africa's second largest oil producer, and they have less than 40 million people

Algeria is also a large oil producer...for 37 million people.

And then there is Nigeria, an oil dependent nation, producing 2.4m barrels on a good day for 200 million people. Even without our leaders stealing the money, the revenue per person isn't much.(unless oil was selling at $139 per barrel)

Keep in mind I am not defending Buhari...but the truth is, Nigeria is not rich. We produce too little oil for a very large population. If we wanted to be like Saudi Arabia and UAE, we should probably tell 190million Nigerians that they are not Nigerians, and spend the oil revenue on the remaining 10 million.

Either we become an industrial nation, exporting industrial goods or else.
