At the moment, I doubt if there's a more fvcked up mess than Nigeria sad SMH . It's quite appalling when the individuals who are supposed to ensure safety of citizens are the ones cutting off their lives. Things have fallen apart and the center cannot hold any longer. The truth is a country filled with hateful, guileful, visionless, spineless and bitter people will always suffer. I definitely will be damned if my kids grow up in this mess of a country angry
My brother I understand ur pains, but police brutality is a global pandemic even in more advanced democracies. The only challenge as regards such incidents in Africa is that we(the people) are too weak and gullible. Imagine such thing happening in USA or Britain and watch as the whole clime will be set on fire.
But here, we are busy watching BB Naija, while the young who will take over are being emasculated and no body I mean we are all keeping mute as if nothing is happening.

Brother, I do not understand u here.
Down here in Anambra State, churches are full to brim, with no time-control.
If Lagos State is no more convenient for our pastors in Lagos, the cyber space is unlimited; they should go book a space on YouTube, twitter, IG, even on a website, or rather they should travel without the curfew hours to other states.
Ah ah! What is all this.
@ZombieTracker made a very crucial point: the real church is not making noise.

Can we pedal down a little on this tribalism stuff? It doesn't tell well of anyone's background. Nobody gains from tribalism. A non Igbo man said something about another non Igbo man and a third non Igbo man countered it. But here you are baring your fangs at the Igbo man. Please bro, let's channel our energy on these guys leading the country. Let's collectively bare our fangs at them instead until they take us seriously. We can blame our leaders all we want but until we come together as a people and say it's enough, nothing will change.

#SayNoToTribalism
My brother, I do not know who you are, but I must confess that your write is not just classical, ageless but most of all, prime and powerful. Thank God for u.

Tribalism and religious differences makes all you wrote up there impossible.
True federalism or confederation is the solution
Hahahaha! U funny mate!
U also talk as if true federalism is impeccable in its sense. And again, do u think anybody is gonna serve you goodies?
No, you go for it; u demand it. And the process of demanding that are all I highlighted before.
I understand, but till then, are we gonna all sit here till we die?
We can't. We must hold our destinies inside our hands or we keep dreaming and waiting for true federalism.

Griffon:
This man puts the I in incompetent. He had no strategic plan to wipe out the BH sect yet he was running his mouth just to score votes.

A leader makes no excuses. In a sane country, he should have resigned for failing to deliver the tons of promises he made millions of Nigerians. But No, this is Africa where geriatric politicians prefer dying in power Failed leadership!
@Griffon, I think otherwise at bolded texts.
I do not think the politicians are our problem: we the young people; who should be taking our future into our hands, defying all odds to hold our leaders accountable rather are.
A law enforcement agent knelt on the neck of a black man and watch until he gave up the ghost in America(The supposed largest Democracy) and what that resulted was an uproar/ national condemnation that saw the whole of America shut down for weeks. When the heat of the unrest became unbearable, it threw fear into the politicians that even security chiefs were apologising to the people; and up until now , America has not recovered from that mass uprising against the govt.
But no, back home here, our docility alongside ignorance of the citizens have continued to gulp grave gullibility and backwardness with a Utopian thought that Politicians will make this nation work.
But no, I disagree b/c that ideal thought only works on the pages of Govt/ Civic Education textbooks.
If u ever saw the occasion where the president made this Statement, it is the elites that'd be hailing his as if he is the best while the people remain docile and utmostly gullible.
In saner climes, the people would have shut him down for making such outrageous statement, but no, we think we'd wake from our dreams one day and Nigeria will suddenly become a Utopia.
It does not happen anywhere. Change and transformation are stirred and influenced by the people and not by dreaming and waking up.

Its time the black youths in Africa understand their roles in the scheme of affairs and rise to the occasion; otherwise, the present narrative will linger for ages.

“She answered and was about going to get the foods from the dinning when the husband pounced on her with a machete and stick, 'next time when I call you, learn to jump up immediately’...”

Igbere TV and their charge and bail journalism!
Clap for urself.
Who tells this kind of cock and bull story.
You were quick to rush out with half-baked and misleading/one-sided story without proper investigation.
What did the woman do; what did she say;
How did she respond to her husband that warranted that inhumane response from him? Of course, nobody reports that.
The husband was obviously provoked and he was wrong for raising his hands over his wife. But, next time, it is proper to do ur journalism work properly before reporting.

As long as we have a majority of the learned populace roaming the street with no purpose, u will witness even a more mammoth crowd regardless of who(politician) and what vehicle (party) he uses.

I'm sorry but no matter how hard we try not to say it, the reality remains.
I am still quoting you:
The reality: good to say that we the young people who should be the vanguards of socioeconomic transformation are the ones allowing the status quo to continue to linger on and on.
The day we'd wake up to see all that our fathers worked for being put to shambles before our eyes, we'd realise we had met the reality and left things unturned.
My point is that the Nigeria we abuse today will turn against our children tomorrow. Facts

Foolishness cum sycophancy run in our blood.
This is hard to believe that the problem of the black man is his incapacity to see his faults and then learn from his mistakes.
And it is sad to say that chief of this mess is initiated and propagated from the learned fools: those who learnt small English. The illiterates are not our major concerns; they only lean on the educated fools to propagate their ignorance.

And until we see the evil in allowing this viscous cycle of sycophancy and its unending consequences, we are not yet ready to exit the loop of bad governance occasioned by the dumbness of the masses.

Ironically Buhari is part of those brokering peace deal in Mali whilst there are worse situations in naija from lack of jobs, bad economy, insecurity coupled with incessant killings in different parts of the country and gargantuan corruption in MDAs of govt.

Charity should begin at home and Nigerians needs to learn from citizens of smaller African countries that are challenging status quo of bad governance.

What's the essence of claiming to be giant of Africa when majority of citizens are docile.
Docility?

Nigerians shaa.
We have too much time to be digging into the activities of that ministry.
Let's not be too quick to forget that the handlers are just the product of families. The truth remains that we are headed no where if the current narrative of "Dog eat dog" mentality we have developed over the years is not transformed.
Administrative and institutional corruption are holding us in the jugular attempting to drain every life still left in us.
NDDC is only a microcosm of what an average Nigerian mind represents: National Cake Mentality.
We are single-handedly isolating the heads of these institutions forgetting to also bear in mind the altitude of an average worker, especially those of us who have "job security"

We mist not be too quick to pass a verdict on NDDC.
That's what we represent.

Which insecurity?
Where,how,why?
insecurity has been truncated and decimated. In fact, banditry, and terrorism have been defeated.

I am very shocked!
