PoliticsRe: Ribadu Lodged $15m Ibori’s Bribe With CBN – Waziri by bibiking1(m): 2:57pm On Nov 02, 2009
I believe we have dwelt on this issue for too long. There are facts and there are assumptions in the case, in our rush to make a quick point lets not get them muddled up. There is a sum of money and there are the actors. The rest are hypothesis that have no proof. The closest assumption we can imbibe is that the money is lodged with the central bank. Thats as far as certainty goes, please call me to order if i am wrong, but we all should not be vehement upon unverifiable hearsays.

Please explain further on the 'local autonomy' i find it interesting you seek this!
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Lodged $15m Ibori’s Bribe With CBN – Waziri by bibiking1(m): 11:03am On Nov 02, 2009
Please do not be deceived by Farida's new found vigor, its all a ploy. When james goes on trial for bribery then you can then start smiling. Revelations without prosecutions are just time wasting strategies. They know the day is near
PoliticsRe: Soludo’s Father’s Abduction: Ransom Reduced To N300m by bibiking1(m): 10:28am On Nov 02, 2009
The old man has done nothing wrong other than being in the middle of this queer political misnomer. He might lose his life eventually which would be a sad occurrence. However, Soludo has made his choice and should be ready to accept the consequences
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Lodged $15m Ibori’s Bribe With CBN – Waziri by bibiking1(m): 10:06am On Nov 02, 2009
Good question! They are both rogues. One is succint and eloquent, the other a garrulous hitman.
PoliticsRe: It's Official: Nigeria Not Among World's Most Corrupt Nations by bibiking1(m): 9:51am On Nov 02, 2009
I apologize for my earlier insult on your person, i guess i was out of line. However, what i want to point out is that these indices are not important if they have no reflection on the well being of the masses. The critical issues should never be substituted with indices and unassuming figures. Once again sorry for my earlier outburst
PoliticsRe: Gani's Family Releases Ribadu Visit Photos by bibiking1(m): 9:45am On Nov 02, 2009
Yeah old story, but it constantly reminds us of the inept policeman at the helm of affairs
PoliticsRe: It's Official: Nigeria Not Among World's Most Corrupt Nations by bibiking1(m): 9:41am On Nov 02, 2009
The same reason you have remained insignificant in the struggle to free the motherland! if you believe in tiny drops of water making the mighty ocean then you are an excuse for a rainy day. Simpleton
PoliticsRe: Nuhu Ribadu Reacts To Bode George's Sentencing by bibiking1(m): 9:35am On Nov 02, 2009
We are dreaming in circles, from nightmares to wet dreams yet we refuse to awake! I have found out that most of us still fail to see the wood for the trees and not until then we shall forever remain asleep. A corrupt cop condemning a gangland mafia boss?

I hope RossIke is reading this! So much for a tranquil Nigeria!

PoliticsRe: Benin City - by bibiking1(m): 8:34am On Nov 02, 2009
It is called the 'ancient city' of Benin and not the modern city, so why do you want to spoil it with modern things? Ok, jokes apart the land is beset with so much angst and idolatry, i am not superstitious but i tend to have a point of view first. The evil and tyrannical leadership suffered over the years can be seen as a mirror image on the manner with which the followers live! The youths are hardly resourceful and rather rob and prostitute, there is a pronounced level of ritual related killings. The people have no doubt been deserving of their leadership
PoliticsRe: accepts by bibiking1(m): 8:23am On Nov 02, 2009
This is the political powerplay we always fail to see in the country. Oshiomole is a stooge of Anenih, so why should he go about discreditin him in public? The PDP is a calculating party, they want to purge their system and getting people to defect to the temporary ruling party would suffice for them. Adams would eventually relocate to the PDP and two birds would have been killed with one stone.
PoliticsRe: The President Lied:nnpc by bibiking1(m): 8:09am On Nov 02, 2009
The president cannot assume total ignorance of the composition of that cartel. In due course nigerians shall be privy to the members of that corrupt group that dug deep into our sides.
PoliticsRe: It's Official: Nigeria Not Among World's Most Corrupt Nations by bibiking1(m): 7:59am On Nov 02, 2009
Rossike you are one optimistic fellow, you seem to me like one of those Akunyili apologists i had a discussion with a few weeks back. The lovely news of course is that we have a conscience and deep down we know things have really not changed that much! I have a couple of papers on my desk this morning and all i can still see is corruption! Just keep talking my friend, very soon we shall redden the land with the blood of tyrants and rancous fellows spewing panegyrics on the imperialists. It would be only be salutary to eradicate the praise singers also, as their use would be in doubt. Anyway, so much for praise singers i'll go get fuel first
PoliticsRe: Federal Government Suspends Fuel Importation (Says LeadershipNigeria) by bibiking1(m): 10:02pm On Nov 01, 2009
That earlier contributor forgot to add that even if two elephants make love, the ground still suffers. I am still yet to make a final decision on the righteousness of the policy but i am certain that Livi Ajuonuma's blood MUST redden the earth first! The time has come
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Stop Moaning And Roll Up Their Sleeves by bibiking1(m): 8:03pm On Nov 01, 2009
A revered revolutionist once posited that people are so pitiful for the oppressors because they are pitiless towards the oppressed! That seems the mindset of a few commentators here
PoliticsRe: Vanguard Editorial On Bode George - 'yellow-brown Envelope' Journalism? by bibiking1(m): 6:46pm On Nov 01, 2009
These sick apologists flood the polity and without any recourse to the demise of their predecessors they continue to churn out there misrepresentations! Their blood shall water the tree of freedom.
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Stop Moaning And Roll Up Their Sleeves by bibiking1(m): 12:56pm On Nov 01, 2009
, can do all of this, BUT would it not amount to just a pyrrhic victory for that individual? Would we not be perpetuating the few wealthy many poor syndrome? Would we not by our further reticence compound the misery that has typified our existence since independence? We can collectively change the nigerian absurdity, good governance is not a myth! They want up to believe it is and accept the fallacy so that we stop questionin their treachery. However, i am certain that soon their blood shall water the tree of freedom
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Stop Moaning And Roll Up Their Sleeves by bibiking1(m): 12:50pm On Nov 01, 2009
Prejudice is the lazy man's way of thinking! Save for a few of the contributors on this post the greater part have kept that maxim true. One thing i find appalling is the ease with which we degenerate to petty insults thereby ignoring the main issue on ground. I like that little debate on good governance, and also the assumption that its a myth. Mo Ibrahim actually believed in its existence (of course in the African continent) until last year when it dawned on him that that phrase was quickly fading into the realm of mythology. Good governance has become a paper plane upon which our dreams are borne, nigeria has never known it and as such can only have a faint assumption of its characteristics. The absence of good governance has had an adverse ripple effect which is made more potent by our reticence. We can of course excel as individuals under this type of leadership, we can make ourselves wealthy, we can stop 'moaning' about the irregularities of our land, we can roll up our sleeves and work harder, we ca
CrimeRe: Man 45, Rapes Girls In Public Toilet by bibiking1(m): 8:57am On Nov 01, 2009
I hate to say this, but the age becomes insignificant when there is consent! Prosecuting the man for sleeping with underaged girls is fine, but the prima facie of the story does not imply rape to me! Sorry
CrimeRe: Man 45, Rapes Girls In Public Toilet by bibiking1(m): 8:51am On Nov 01, 2009
This doesnt sound like rape to me. One of the girls had been doing this before and obviously wanted her friend to get a taste! He could not have conveniently raped two girls!
PoliticsRe: Nigerians Should Stop Moaning And Roll Up Their Sleeves by bibiking1(m): 8:39am On Nov 01, 2009
A bandwagon of charlatans, praise singers and seekers, imperialism lovers and ass lickers. When things are wrong and you sweep them under the carpet to show 'patriotism' and 'optimism' then we only prepare ourselves for a bigger downfall. To hide under the guise of patriotism to challenge those who constantly expose the frailty of the nigerian state reeks of treason. Let us be positive quite alright, but not be blind to the societal ills in the land!
PoliticsRe: Senate Rejects Nobel Prize Nomination For Yar’adua by bibiking1(m): 8:24am On Nov 01, 2009
If the amnesty granted militants has helped opened the creeks for safer bunkery activities by the senators and their cohorts, it falls on them to honor the man with a 'noble' peace prize. Who told you all the peace in the area was for commoners like you? Get a life! The 'Sani Abacha' peace prize has been agreed upon. What is so special in that swede nobel? We are a good people great nation, we would give out our own!
PoliticsRe: Hurry Hurry To Shine, Sanusi Bungles Bank Probe- A Lot Of Exagerations by bibiking1(m): 8:06am On Nov 01, 2009
Yes! I hate this boring story on who owes who and how who will pay back what. Please as the last poster pointed out, let us all go and download the latest music! The farida waziri new single 'seven days ultimatum' is burning the charts, Jimoh Ibrahim's 'i owe you nothin' album is still number one on the CBN billboard. Dangote's 'get the name right' is rockin Abuja and its environs now o. Please grab your copies quickly
PoliticsRe: Are Nigerians Really Patriotic? by bibiking1(m): 7:32am On Nov 01, 2009
Hmm, It is understandable that a lot of you are appalled with the level of decadence in the polity now, the senility of the present government and the boisterous looter of yesterday screamin in our faces! However, patriotism does not stem out of the reactions to all there ill situations, it is a true love for the motherland regardless of the present anomalies. There is a funny cycle here that has kept us in chains for a while: nigerians are suffering because we are not patriotic, and we are not patriotic because we are suffering. We are part of a hypocritical mill, those self denying traitors that pack their bags and run to the west only find out they are an inferior breed and soon run back flauntin their distorted speech in our faces like they were made kings over there, we know better. Until we are ready to collectively regain our freedom from the imperialistic monarchy personalized by the PDP we shall keep moanin and playin the self-pity role in this film. Their blood would water the tree of freedom!
EventsRe: Why Don't We Celebrate Halloween In Nigeria? by bibiking1(m): 7:07am On Nov 01, 2009
Some thread if you ask me! well i really believe our 'follow the west' mentality is beginning to affect every single part of our existence. We all know this junkyard holiday existed but we really paid little attention, but someone invited me to her 'halloween' party early in the week and i understood that the west has its claws in us. Like one of the contributors on this thread rightly said, we shall soon have a gay pride walk and y'll still be wonderin what hit you!
