Depends on who you are talking about.
The USAF that hates the A10 think the freaking expensive F35 is the solution, but the special operations command wisely believe that prop planes will do the job in low threat insurgency situations.
The F35 his a multi role stealth aircraft while the later is a dedicated attack/fixed wing close air support aircraft!
The warthog is expensive but will do the job better, just damn too expensive to maintain !

There is an uploaded video by Sahara Reporters on Facebook where an Army Personel is insulting all the Military Cheifs. This is totally wrong and should be discouraged. If you are tired of the Job, resign and stop insulting your superior.
Just finished watching the video !
I doubt if the guy is a soldier, probably he got the camp from somewhere.
If not so, the consequences will be severe!

You are now descending into the gutter with your diction. By all means disagree with but substantively not with emotive sentiment based ramblings.

So considering all that have l presented tell me one item that is not a fact or untrue in the first instance. And then you are absolutely entitled to disagree with my opinion but why would be an act of expected courtesy.

It was those facts that underpin my deduction l will concede l may have been slightly ambiguous in my position on the Alpha Jet upgrade. And it could be construed l have given the Alpha Jet ISTAR capability.

The Alpha Jet, for the avoidance of doubt, is not with its very limited loiter time of 3.5 hours is not a viable alternative for ISTAR.
That attributes is not unique to the A29 that ability is very much available to all NAF fighter jet. If you want to upgrade the Isreals Elbit Systems can put in a new WDNS that is comparable or exceeds the A29 on our very reliable Alpha jets.

However, fighter jet is much faster and you don't hear it until it's gone. Has a bigger payload, for instance the Alpha Jet is close to 3000kg compared to the A29's 1500kg.

The loud humming drone from the much slower A29 turboprop can be heard from miles away. Particularly if it flies at medium to low altitude.

This experimental aircraft by the USAF is very good but it's not unique or the best by any standard. However, it is definitely the most EXPENSIVE in the world.

It is still being experimented upon and as you can see below.

Comparing the A29 super Tucano attributes/capabilities with the Alpha jet would be a dumb comparison in the first place. even if our Alpha jets where upgraded.

Check there attributes one after the other and compare before you start spitting your rubbish !
The major attributes like endurance/loitering time, Maintenance, fear factor, avionics, ISR capabilities not to talk of the varieties of weapon deliveries the A29 has ?

The only edge the Alpha jet has over the A29 is the maximum speed and slightly maximum external weight carried. We don’t really need speed in this type of war we are fighting, the A29 can take out its targets or deliver most of its munitions kilometers away before getting over the targets except for unguided bombs.
ISWAP/BHT does not process Manpads yet and even if they do it’s not has if the Alpha jet can evade than has well.
No matter how the Alpha jet is upgraded you cant compare it with an aircraft built for ISR and can prosecute these targets at the same time.

Dude my opinions are not based on emotions, you just spend time typing long post without the your proper research; besides your diction are far worst!

FORCE PROTECTION GROUP OF NAF 404 KADUNA THWARTS ARMED BANDITS’ RUSTLING OPERATION, RECOVERS 40 CATTLE ALONG KAUYA-TSAMIYA VILLAGE AXIS IN KADUNA STATE

1. Personnel of the 404 Force Protection Group (404 FPG) Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Base Kaduna have thwarted an armed bandits’ attack along Kwauya-Tsamiya Village axis in Kaduna State. This occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 21 June 2020, following reports that some cattle rustlers/armed bandits had raided the Fulani settlements adjacent to the NAF Base and seized some heads of cattle from some herders at gun point.

2. A Rapid Response Force (RRF) Team was immediately dispatched to pursue and recover the rustled cattle. The RRF Team, supported by NAF Special Forces deployed to Operation BADAMAMAKI, in conjunction with the local vigilantes, quickly located the bandits and engaged them in a firefight causing them to retreat in multiple directions abandoning 40 cattle in the process. While there were no casualties to any civilian or NAF personnel in the encounter, some of the bandits managed to escape with gunshot wounds.

3. The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, commends the personnel of 404 FPG for their dedication and professionalism and urges them to sustain their efforts to curb the activities of bandits and all other criminal elements threatening the peace and security of our beloved country.

OPERATION HADARIN DAJI AIR COMPONENT TAKES OUT SEVERAL ARMED BANDITS’ CAMPS, NEUTRALIZES SCORES OF BANDITS IN MULTIPLE AIR STRIKES IN KATSINA STATE

1. In continuation of the renewed offensive to rid the North West and North Central States of criminal elements, the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI has destroyed some armed bandits’ camps in a forest in Katsina State south of Birnin Kogo along the Katsina-Zamfara boundary area. The air strikes were executed yesterday, 15 June 2020, as part of missions under the subsidiary Operation ACCORD after Human Intelligence (HUMINT) reports as well as series of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions indicated that some clusters of huts in the area were being used as mini-camps by members of notorious armed bandits’ gang led by one so-called "Adamu Aleiro".

2. Consequently, the Air Component dispatched a force package of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) attack aircraft and helicopter gunships to engage the area, leading to the destruction of 3 of the targeted camps, some of which were seen engulfed in flames. Several of the criminals were also neutralized in the process.

3. The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), commends the Air Component of Operation HADARIN DAJI for their professionalism and urges them to remain resolute in the conduct of air strikes whilst continuing to provide close air support for ongoing ground operations in order to eradicate all armed bandits; thus accomplishing the directives of the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) to restore normalcy in the North West and North Central Zones of the Country.
