PETERiCHY: This just a tip of the iceberg, it's no brag.
Go and mark it somewhere "Time will come when UBA will trade below N1:50k and nobody will buy".
*ThE OcToPuS* My only problem with this assertion is that you haven't defined the boundaries of this 'time' Adopting your argument, I can also assert that 'a time will come when LASACO will sell for N20' |

PETERiCHY: While somebody will want to dispute that stock market is not one of the most organised gambling platform with the slogan of buy a fundamental sound stock with good dividend history
Or Firstbank is no longer a good fundamental stock
Well for the newbies below are the lay down rules for the STOCK MARKET;
1) DON'T lose money.
2) DON'T forget rule no1.
3)DON'T EVER INVEST what you can't afford to lose.
4) Your chances of pulling a successful trade is less than 5% which makes it one of the easiest avenue to lose money.
*Honestly God bears me witness that if i had to share some lamentations inbox messages im getting from those that lost huge unbelievable funds in NSE infact some of you will stop visiting this forum let alone invest in NSE.
So neglect any of the above guidelines at your own peril
*ThE OcToPuS* Oga Peter Richard These your rules worry oooo. Rules 1 & 3 are diametrically opposed na |

Coolcash1: I am with you on this @megainvest...All the stocks recommended by my stock broker to me have performed woefully except the ones I selected myself. A classic example is UBA which I bought at 3.65 but had to sell at a loss when I got tired of its sloppiness.
My advice is people should calibrate their recommendation before making a financial investment decision (FID) So UBA at 3.65 is a bad invesment? O di egwu really! At the right prices, Presco, Okomu oil and JB are good stock to hold. We cannot tar all brokers as bad. Every one and their advice will have to be treated on their own merit. |

Not a bad selection. He is definitely looking at the bigger picture. Remember the word on everybody's mouth lately (diversification to agriculture), infrastructure deficit... then you'd see where is coming from. That stock pick is for investors not day traders |

Dragonking: when I said buhari has destroyed the stock market I was attacked, now u see. Ubcap gave the best dividend yeild ever this year at its price yet there is massive sell off, why? Under gej there was prosperity, joy and everyone made good money, now it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle that to make real cool cash here. They should pass the corrupt budget on time, that might bring in some cash in flow to the market I am sure he also destroyed the price of crude oil! It would appear there are an overwhelming number of speculators in the market. |

mercylicious: This thread is on fire.
i made very good predictions this year but i am very impatient. i sold half of my zenith n fidelity when d mkt was not being excited on div (nkwucha aburo ujo.) i have little ucap compared to zenith.if ucap does another 10% tommorow, am off.
the only bad bet i made was access though i have the least here. though their result was good, they decided to be stingy like diamond and transcorp. yes- transcorp is stingy, so, let ur eye be on cap appreciation.
i missed u guys. I make bold to say NONE of Tony's companies is stingy. They would appear stingy when pay no dey They'll surely represent when the money starts to roll in. |

Manonamission: From "market view", click on the drop down button and select "NASD_EQTY". The symbol is SDAFRILAND. Not a recommendation to buy or sell
Modified: It's actually accessible from the "all boards" view if you know the symbol you are interested in Morgan is not an approved broker with NASD, thus you can only view quotes but not buy. The list of approved brokers is here http://nasdng.com/trading_institutions/Approved_Trading_Institutions |

With a dividend of 1.55, this implies a yield of ~12.1%! In the part of the world where I live, investors jump over hoops for such.
