Truth is not what you want it to be; it is what it is.And you must bend to its power or live a lie. Truth can never be bitter. What is bitter is falsehood. Most people do not like to be told the truth about themselves, their character, their dressing, their manners, their excesses etc. That is when the truth may be considered bitter to the ears of the person being told. I dey fear Ojuju tolajay: I am unsure what your grouse is, but you've evidently become too emotional about a logical issue.
First, my comment wasn't an attack on anyone but a sympathetic analysis of some Nigerians' plight who think luck and insha is all they'll need to function in a structured society like the UK.
Let me ask you, have you seen or heard many Nigerian students stranded abroad because they didn't do their due diligence before leaving but were simply optimistic that anyhow anyhow dem go survive? Well, I see and hear it everyday. Shy away from it for all you want, it doesn't change the obvious truth. There are consequences for every action and inaction.
Another angle: do you know the number of UK-schooled Nigerians who returned home with/to almost nothing? Well, I know, see and hear this a lot. Most of them would have been better off if they stayed and invested those money in themselves back home...Sad truth!
Just last week, a Nigerian student was all over the internet seeking accommodation. Someone had to warn him because he was flaunting a major immigration declaration on accommodation.
Also, did you hear of Nigerian who couldn't his tuition after nine months, and the school asked him to withdraw and reported to the home office? May I ask what assistance you've given to these ones?
See, you may not like facing the truth, it still doesn't change the truth.
Your sense of entitlement and worldview is grossly abashed by the Nigerian society. You need to reshape.
Lastly, how did you conclude that we are on the same pedestal because of a couple of post on a faceless forum? Gullibility is no excuse for underachievement. You really need to expand your mental scope.
I wish you the best...Tap me when you're in the UK. |

bull67: BIGLIZZY, Its the same has if you are going to london. If you get UK visa, you are free to move anywhere in the uk. There are 4 countries in the uk. They are SCOTLAND,ENGLAND,WALES andNORTHREN IRELAND. And also the ISLAND OF MAN. Things are easy now with student visa. its cheaper to pay school fees here compared to other countries within the united kingdom. Thanks so much. Please which schools would you recommend |

bull67: i live in scotland up north in the uk. I worked hard left London because its very expensive, rent out my house which gives me income. I am now living in scotland uk. Life is cheap.my morgage is less than 400 per month. i work has an engineer for a bus company and my wife works has a care worker and she is also doing her nursing course. Our income + our business gives us up to 4k a months. My kids go to school for free up to university level, health is free under the NHS. The job i am doing does insurance for it workers e.t.c. all my family have international passport to enter any country in the world and they give them respect. Not with my nigerian passport whey i go use enter Ghana and the immigration guy can slap me anytime with out the nigerian emmbasy comming to help. When you japa, its not just about money, its about you, your wife and kids. In 2017 i had heart failure and i was admited in to the hospital for 5 months, i did not pay a dam. Now lets say i day for nigeria for LUTH or UCH ibadan, i would have been in heaven by now. For our country Army day beat people any how, for here they dont even carry guns outside their barracks and they respect you. No country is perfect but these oyinbo people respect themselves compared to nigeria where you can see a dead body on the street for weeks with out any council officer moving the dead body away. Nigerians are now leaving to benin republic, gambia, ivory coast, ghana, zimbabwe, mozambique e.t.c. marrying their citizens and having a good life. If you want to stay no problem stay and make the country good. We too here are doing the same by helping families back home to get their feets together. no place on earth is easy but most countries outside nigeria are far better than it. including neighbouring countries which i have been to myself. Please how best to migrate to Scotland with ones family |
