Mr Wenger is a stubborn man, what does it take to spend to get a goalkeeper, a decent centre half and a tough tackling midfielder. It has been evidenced for two seasons now that, these are the areas where solidity is needed. I pity Arsenal's season, without a trophy; Van Persie, Theo Walcott others will leave soon. |

@ Ricky_Ross; i fully agree with you 100%. |
Is that structure a police station or chicken shed? |
A night of thousand laughs on these ex - general fools. |
It is interesting that Nigeria has been ruled by fools all the years - sad but true. |
The various african nations have to use their own media establishment to project positive news about africa. If each country can have a media house similar to CNN, BBC or Al-jazeera, it will go a long way in projection some good report. Also most importantly, we need good governance in Africa, not the sit-tight mentally of life presidency most of the leaders embark upon. |
I don't believe that there is an ideal man or woman. We all have our shortcomings, but with patience (unfortunately that word no longer exist in our dictionary) and careful understanding we can have a successful relationship. It's really hard work for everyone. |
Only 7!!!, the list have to be reviewed again. We only need minimum of 4 political parties in Nigeria. |
at least I can be better prepared for the heavy downpour by relocating temporary to my village. |
Money and materialism is definetely the roots of all evils. The sad thing is most of the young ladies come from very respectable homes, poverty is not the issue. This unfortunately happens across the various tertiary places all over the country. Now people will be complaining that companies are not employing Nigeria graduates, when 70% of their lives is wasted on these kind of activities. |
Nice let's be proud of our heritage. |
It doesn't matter which currency they're paid, most of them will still have enough access to plenty foreign currencies. The most important thing is what they plan to achieve, I bet most of the ministers like GEJ haven't got any plans for the country through their respective ministeries. Each minister should come up with a published short-term (6-18 months), medium-term (18-36 months) and long-term (36-48months) goals and objectives of their various ministries, which everyone will know about. This is not rocket science. Instead they keep jumping on statements which we have heard over and over again, like "full electricity by 2015", "road development by 2012", "rail upgrade by 2016", "Nigeria will be among the top 20 economies by 2020". Asked them how we will achieve all these, most of the minsters will have no idea. |
There are enough of these vocations taught in our schools, but without proper funding and good teachers all is wastage. Also students should be made to understand that combining these vocational skills within their formal education is highly important for their future development. Unfortunately, every student wants to be a doctor, lawyer, accountant and other white collar jobs - all these are good please don't get me wrong. After graduation, most don't get jobs because the supply is way more than demand. If some of these graduates have one vocation skill, this can be used to their advantage making some income whilst pursuing the ultimate job prospect. |
It doesn't matter where you study, but the determination to succeed is very important. Most Nigerian students are intelligent, but they lack effective communication, interpersonal, problem solving, teamwork, organisation skills all these have to be developed, unfortunately they can't be taught except through outside exposure, which are allowed by foreign universities when undergraduates take on various work placements and internships. Hence in most of these countries, you'll find college students taking up managerial positions because some of them have been working since secondary school age 14-16 years. Reasons why companies perceive that foreign graduates are better than nigerian graduates. Previous governments in the country have failed the educational sector with adequate funds. I was told of instances where students from these foreign lands used to compete to be admitted to our universities back in the 60s and 70s because of the high level of educational excellence in those glorious days. |
Wear my african attire with pride and swagger in the summer season, the oyinbo people always rush me like indomie. |
No 13. is the reason why I got the dismissal note ![]() |
Timing is the key. |
It is good to have a main source of income and other smaller sources to keep body and soul together. A good example, people working in the private sector in this country, where they can be made redundant at short notice should have other legitimate sources of income. It does help in the long run. |
Enough talking, a proper and decisive action is what we need to boost power supply in the country. I'm tried of hearing or reading the same statement since 1999 when OBJ was president. |
We have other important things to do than reading - party, party and more parties. Our attention time span is very small, we want to get things done in a jiffy. |
Why the dark shades? |
He is a true and proper hausa man, the son of the soil. |
Unfortunately, privatisation hasn't been successful has it was meant to be. The idea behind the process is good, but as with all things in Nigeria, proper procedures are not followed. It turns out to favour those who are in the game for their own selfish gains. |
I think it wasn't possible for the candidates to cheat in these tests, hence the massive failure rate. Companies in Nigeria should partner with universities on how courses should be run, as the federal government is not capable of doing anything position with the educational system. |
If the young man is very talented, he will be fast track by the US authorities into one of their massive science and technology programmes, which means Nigeria has lost another talented person to the already developed country. It's a shame that our government are not known to take the welfare of talented individuals seriously. Our lose, might turn out to be the US gain. All the best to the young fellow. |
Happy birthday to IBB, the best civilian president Nigeria never had. |
Noting aganist the Chinese Construction company, my question is how many Nigerians will this company employ? |
I think this kind of amount mentioned should be better use to upgrade existing mode of transportation - especially most of the federal roads, railways and even the airports. After we can then start to think about this kind of construction. |
With ACN getting ahead of PDP in choosing their presidential candidate, the more upper than they will have. Ngige with a muslim northerner ( Ribadu) will do the trick for ACN. PDP - no brainer it will definetely be David Mark, plus one of the current PDP governor from the South East. |
