ComputersRe: Taskbar Not Showing (help Pls!) by bigrovar(m): 6:36am On Jul 09, 2007
what happened to you usually happens when ever u forcefully shut down your system, after it hangs or freezes , forceful shutdown can lead to the task bar getting corrupt, also the use of objectdock can also lead to the disappearance of taskbar, it would appear for a brief then disappear after object dock loads, anyway the way i got aroud it was to create another user account and make it an administrator, u can move all ur important files into shared folder, the create the new administrator account, then move ur file into the new acc from shared folder, u may aslo need to reinstall some application, the bottom line is, it way better than reinstall of formatting

ComputersRe: Post Your Vista Problems Here by bigrovar(op): 3:31pm On Jul 04, 2007
ok i get it now u wont to know if the sony vaio u intend on buying would come with recovery cds, well from experience most dont come with recovery disk, ur recovery file is always embedded in a hidden harddrive partition, and u would then be able to create your recovery disk using the vaio recovery disk utility, but it all depends of ao u buy
ComputersRe: Post Your Vista Problems Here by bigrovar(op): 3:26pm On Jul 04, 2007

busygirl:
yEAH RIGHT GIRL. . . .My dad works at night, when he gets back home there are mails waiting for him at the doorstep from 3G, TELEPHONE, WATER, everything. That one self fit give person headache. Although I work for my money, but I hadly touch them cause I know it will help someday!
soulpatrol:
exactly o, busygirl. u hardly have time for yourself. its so crazy that u have to make a schedule for every single thing. even to go visit someone, better call ahead and make sure they'll be home or vice versa. everything is rolling on time. its not fun, but u gotta have some organization to stay sane.
everytime i come home from work (and those people work u to the bone its not even funny. they squeeze out every ounce of energy from u.), i'm too tired to even call my people. then your bills are waiting for u there, its like a vicious cycle, this paycheck to paycheck thing. i hate it so much. angry
soulpatrol:
ok abeg make una no fight o. easy now.

@topic. sometimes i just long to be back home where i don't have to pay no taxes, i can skip work and still get paid, the times when i wouldnt go to classes and still pass exam by hook or crook grin, mooching off my parents, no responsibilities etc. so much easier. being in naija has its advantages too, so don't think living abroad is the ultimate thing because its not. sad
if i could help out my people back home, i would, but conditions don't let me. its not easy to save. everyday one has to live from paycheck to paycheck. on the other hand, of course you're trying to advance your career and better yourself in the process, but its not an overnight thing. u have to kiss so much ass in this country in order to get anywhere. pride has to be set aside and u have to do things u don't want to do.
but really, experience is the best teacher and like they say, seeing is believing. better to see for yourself so u know. sad
then come back home see its seems u guys are just being used to run the economy and support the welfare of their citizens, come home and make sumtin 4 your self in ur home land,

i spoke to a friend in the uk recently and from what i get its not easy at all for nigerians over there, by the way i do most of the calling and though it can be very frustrating, i think i understand but not everybody in 9ja dey call their uk friend cup in hand , most times we just want to keep the friendship going but some jand pple are just too paranoid
ComputersRe: I Get This When I Re-boot My Pc by bigrovar(m): 7:18pm On Jul 03, 2007
the stuff u see often appear on my screen anytime i do a virus scan on my xp, espcially when it has benn affected by the worm called brontok or newphew am not sure i get the second name correct, this virus usually affect ur system files and up them selves in your startup folder, hence the worm would startup with windows, so when your antivirus removes it from your system because your registry as not been edited to reflect this remove windows would still try to load the deleted virus and when it does not find it u get the screen error display, however u should know that Virus and spyware writers are getting more cunning. They are now disguising their viruses to look or sound like Windows system files. check out the following, which of the files is the spyware (browser hijack), virus (Trojan) and the crucial system file?

* Isass.exe
* lsass.exe
* Win32.exe
, the first two files are the same! Well, they are not. The first starts with the letter capital i (I) and second starts with the letter lowercase l (L). The one starting with i (isass.exe) is a virus/Trojan but Windows users may easily mistake it for the very important security process, lsass.exe (starts with a lowercase L, as in lucky). And yes Win32.exe is a browser hijack program that will keep taking charge of your browser home page. but tell me did u just run a AV scan of ur system?
