This one has gone to Ghana to further aggravate the weak relationship Nigerians enjoy there
benjackugo: I Can Buy Your Bar 10 Times - Davido Brags After He And Crew Member Was Stopped From Entering Ghanaian Bar (Video)
Nigerian music star, Davido has been spotted in a viral video issuing threats at a Ghanaian club he turned up at with his DMW crew, IgbereTV reports.
The singer was heard telling the management of the facility that he can buy the bar 10 times after one his crew members was bounced. It was further alleged that the crew member was in possession of what wasn't allowed in the bar.
Ok that's fine. I also noticed you had been issued visas in the past which is good but they would always want to assess you based on your current status and situation.
Fair enough your dad states clearly the narration in his transfers to you not sure that's a sustainable source but it might fly.
I would suggest if you can get a letter from your university stating your current status of study in the school academically and financially to help boost your chances. It's only the school that can vividly support your claims of being a student and chances of you returning back to school.
BTW where are you applying through? Nigeria or Jamaica? If Nigeria, you might need to explain why you're in Nigeria and not in school and why you choose to travel to the UK and not back to Jamaica for school. All the best.
twojul: Thank you for responding When my dad transfers the money every month he usually puts a note saying student up keep and that is showing in the statement. I can't use his statement this time cos he doesn't have sufficient funds.
As i'm a student would that not prove that i'll have to return to my uni and not stay indefinitely in the UK?

2. I am sponsoring myself this time with my monthly student upkeep money that accumulated over 6 months since i've been in nigeria and not paying any bills. That's why i'm using my own statement from my savings account.
You need to show the source of the upkeep money, that it is constant and show that you will always come back to it after your trip ended
3. My friend just said they are inviting me and i'll be staying with them. They also stated where they work in the letter.
6. My friend didn't say if they'll accommodate me in the letter but they will be accommodating me and i wrote in the form that'll be staying with them.
Your friend needs to attach his tenancy agreement and proofs that they can accommodate you without strain
4. My friend only attached passport but no pay slip.
Since your friend is inviting you over, you technically are his responsibility and must prove capable of that through the presentation of pay slips and or bank statements in addition to tenancy agreements etc.
Note that it might be difficult sponsoring yourself as a student for a UK visa because there's no assurance that you would return to your home country except you can otherwise convince the visa officer
twojul: 1. Ive always answered "other source of income - allowance from family or friends" cos i am a student so i dont have a source of income but on my previous uk trips, my dad has always been my sponsor and i use his bank statement showing his monthly pension. 2. I am sponsoring myself this time with my monthly student upkeep money that accumulated over 6 months since i've been in nigeria and not paying any bills. My friend didn't say if they'll accommodate me in the letter but they will be accommodating me and i wrote in the form that'll be staying with them.
1. What is your source of income? 2. Who is sponsoring your trip? 3. What role will your friend play in the visit? ( 4. Did your friend attach his/her source of income? 5. Did you friend attach his/her home tenancy/mortgage agreement? 6. Is s/he going to accommodate or feed you throughout the visit?
Above a re some of the questions you need to adequately answer effortlessly. It's no longer enough for you to present a bank statement with fat balance and quote an amount as the cost of the trip.
Ideally, the cost of your trip (if footed by you) should not be more than your two months' salary after you've taken out your expenses for those months and you're left with your disposable income.
You also need to state your source of monthly income as a proof of your intention to return back to your home country at the end of the visit. Being a student or about to graduate without a good paying job or business would definitely work against you except you're able to tie your trip to your academic work (say for example school approved research/exchange visit to another school in the UK).
To me your case is not straight forward until you can effortlessly prove to the visa officer your true intentions with respect to the visit.
I'd just like some advice before i finalize my application. I will be applying and getting my biometrics done at ikeja. I'll be spending a month in the UK in December and i'll be spending £2k pounds on this trip. (Is that too much or too little?)
Here is a list of my supporting documents: 1. Invitation letter from my friend who is a citizen. 2. My friend's passport data page. 3. My admission letter (i do not school in nigeria) showing date of admission and duration of course but not date of course completion. (However due to some reasons it's taking me longer to get my degree. Would this be an issue? If they calculate and see that i should have graduated last year although my uni has given my a letter addressed to whom it may concern saying i'm still a student – See number 4) 4. Letter from my uni saying I'm currently enrolled as a student. 5. A copy of my student visa expiring summer 2021. 6. Bank statement showing 2,600,000N. (This is my bank statement from my savings account and the money started accumulating from 350k at the beginning of lockdown and took 6 months to reach this amount. My parents decided to still give me my monthly student upkeep money even though i was in Nigeria. I didn't spend it because i was living free with them cos lockdown didn't let me go back to school. I hope this is okay and they won't want an explanation for these funds.) 7. Itinerary. 8. Birth certificate. 9. On a previous application for a study visa, i explained in my additional information that although my study was for 2 months, i had applied for other courses at other institutions and i would stay back to do those courses if i got accepted while in the UK but i obviously would not stay longer than the duration of my visa. I was granted the study visa and i'm assuming they read that clause in my application. I'm including the acceptance letters from those institutions in this current application to prove i was actually busy and not wasting time in the UK. I've now mentioned this previous study period and the clause i said again on my current application and also stated that i supported myself with funds from my parents whose bank statement i provided as supporting document on that study visa application. MY QUESTION NOW IS: Should i include those acceptance letters as documents in this current application and remind them of what i said when i applied for that study visa or i should just forget it because i didn't overstay that study visa.
Sorry for the long story and thanks in advance for the suggestions.
Hmmmm ...I always use the mobile apps for my transfers and for the web based Internet Bank platform, I once used the *737*7# code to generate a token successfully when making a bill payment.
You might just need to contact the bank to issue you a new token + debit card and get to send it to you after you indemnify them and pay for the courier.
justwise: Done that but still when i want to send money to a relative it still ask for token, finally i gave you and send the money directly through an agent..which i hate doing
Ooh wow... I get you. My thought however is that if you already have access to internet banking, you could use the same login on the mobile app but I guess you need to first link the device.
Have you looked through the internet banking platform to see if no option to link device in there? Also, if you're roaming your Nigerian line, try using 2G option instead of 3G/4G before dialing your bank's USSD code string.
I hope it helps if not then you might have to get a new card. I know GT bank re-issue the same card number albeit with new expiry dates and retains your old pin (don't know if this has changed though but worth trying out).
justwise: Logging in to internet banking is not a problem at all, retrieving the pin or getting a token is the problem, i have tried using *737*7# still it doesn't work.
The biggest prob i guess is the fact that my card has expired so i can't use it as part of verification process which is required.
Ok so try login with your Internet bank details and see if it allows you in. If you've forgotten it and it have your card pin, click on Sign up and navigate to the Existing Customer option, click on it to try retrieve your credentials online.
Not going to church is not severing your relationship with God or Jesus Christ rather it is severing relationship with your pastor or daddy as you people call them. They're the human factor superimposing themselves over your relationship with God and Jesus Christ.
Righteousness89: Even with A Trillion (United States) Dollar , I Cannot Severe my Relationship with JESUS Christ..
So do the exchange rate to Naira using Oanda.com and the total should not be more than your two months salary.
Make sure your bank statement does not have entries you cannot effectively explain and that the salary you earn is constant not 420k in January, 250k in February or 300k in March. All the best.
How many months' salary does this translate to? By standard, your expense for the trip shouldn't stretch over more than 2 months of your paid salary. Confirm this so you can get the advise you're looking for.

Degofido: I've been dating this girl for 10 months. We were close friends before we were dating. I've been very nice to this girl. She's a virgin and she's told me she wasn't ready for sex and I respected her choices. All the times we've been together has been fun for both of us. She enjoys my company..
So I was shocked when she called me yesterday to tell me that she can't continue the relationship. She said her parents are against her having relationships and that the whole relationship thing is tiring for her. She apologized and said she needs time away from guys for a while.
I'm still confused. I've been very loyal to her and even showed her off on social media. I've been down since yesterday.
OlawaleBammie: Pls ignore my grammatical blunders, my diction is not that alluring.
I lives and work in one of the South South states, So this last Tuesday I just decided to pay a very needed visit to Lagos, on getting to Lagos I felt good and feeling alright.

I was wrong tho, this fever had other idea so I had to buy some drugs (malaria, and typhoid wateva wateva) I used it as directed, I felt relieved a little but not totally.
And to the reason I created this thread .....
My right side of my body is feeling well but my left side of the body is not ok. this is what I mean
1)My left eyeball is paining me seriously .
2) My left ear(tru to the inside) is paining me
3)My teeth are not excluded, the molar, premolar, and the canine are paining me seriously but the right side of my teeth are good.

Sad ...she should just retire and mentor the young ones coming up. That 24th grand slam may not come but her mentoring would go a long way immortalizing her efforts on the court.
