Imagine the ladies at the Gloworld Store @the Palms Lekki almost jobbed me. She collected N500 for a new SIM and when I asked on their Twitter handle, I was told it cost N100. Immediately I told them my experience and they asked me to email. Which I did. I was refunded via airtime credit N400 + 250MB data I wonder why we can't be honest in this country.

The woman was like are you buying credit (after I asked the cost of the SIM card) I said no not knowing she was trying to fleece me more. I wonder how many foreign/unsuspecting local customers they must have fleeced same way too.

Exactly ....they have their terms of admission, if she did not meet such terms then you're refused entry simple! All these ladies wen de fell too powerful because of social media, always quick to jump on SM to rant

They (4Points) have every right to profile customers before admission ...4Points is not a Government building. Even an Uber driver can decide to reject your trip if s/he feels threatened by your presence and there's nothing you can do about it. We need to learn how these things work jaaaare

The thing is most OEMS disable some LTE bands on their devices even though they support it in theory. To renable such bands, one would have to root in order to get a work around solution.

Approximately 3 weeks but ensure you submit all the required documents and try to follow up directly with the embassy incase you missed out a document. The 3-5 months processing is if you did not submit the correct documents, it will just be there unattended to.

If in may ask, do you have a GLO 4G SIM, and If so, how did you go about getting it? I asked because, on my last visit to Naija in March, I went to the stores in Ikeja Mall and on Allen, but they both had no 4G sims in stock. Hope to try again when I get there this weekend.

From my research Glo is 62150 and the ones above are either Swift, Spectranet or Smile

DOWNLOAD the app opensignal, it will show you all the cell towers around you, you can toggle on the 4g, so it only shows you 4g towers of the network you choose, its backwards compatible to 1g/gsm sef. with the glo oga sim, you get the cheapest data in naija 5k gives about 30gb, and you can share to as many as 10 people, and the sim doesnt even have to be in a phone, why you think say i wan die for any band 28 LTE device wey dey affordable?.. all my folks are gradually switching to glo data

1. Not sure if Glo 4G signals cover my area but From Glo's coverage map, the area is covered (VI-Lekki axis)

2. I wasn't actually testing with a Glo SIM card but rather using the phone to scout 4G signals around. I saw all the other networks except Glo (all the networks are supported by the phone except Spectranet, Swift and Smile - funny how they all start with letter 'S' )

3. I hope to get a 4G Glo SIM but scared it might not be backward compatible with 3G which might mean losing coverage when this happens.

are you sure glo 4g is in your location?. 2ndly are you sure your glo sig is 4g?. if yes to the above questions, contact glo cc via chat, they will help confirm your sims status, i had a similar problem, not knowing that the alleged 4g sim sold to me at glo office wasnt a 4g sim!

You have to find out if there is glo 4G at your location.

Funny I have band 28 on my device but when I search available 4G networks around, I don't see Glo listed..... Is there anything special that needs to be done? phone is not RN5 tho but UMI... Lexusgs430 what do you suggest?
