Yes church needs money but then the pastor or GO should be be prudent enough to dedicate 90% to 'feeding' the flock rather than 90% feeding the 'shephard' and 1% feeding the flock. The remaining 9% is used to maintain the Church (that's if they do cos the congregation still donates separately towards that).

We see big big church halls being built and put to use just twice a week but thousands are out there without homes or food yet the 'church' feeds fat on these same people. God is watching you all angry

... And which church is non Bible believing? angry

felixomor:
Tithe has only one meaning in bible concordance.
If you want to add your own. U are alone.

And if your last line says people need money, but in your mind, church doesn't need money ba.
Yet you want to go to worship centres and feel comfortable when you worship God and share His word. But Church doesn't need money

Latest decisions of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee
12 Dec 2017

Following the recent meeting of the Disciplinary Committee, FIFA can today confirm the latest sanctions imposed for incidents that occurred during the preliminary competition for the FIFA World Cup™ as well as in international friendlies.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been sanctioned for fielding an ineligible player in the match between Algeria and Nigeria on 10 November 2017. The match is declared to be forfeited and awarded 3-0 in favour of Algeria, with the NFF also receiving a fine of CHF 6,000.

The sanction relates to the player Abdullahi Shehu failing to serve the automatic one-match suspension imposed on him as a result of receiving a caution in two separate matches of the same competition. This sanction bears no impact on the final result of the preliminary competition for the FIFA World Cup since Nigeria had already qualified (and Algeria eliminated) before the match took place.

I salute Blows_job for creating this thread. It takes courage, not a small one sef.
Haba, but people can be judgmental sha. Stuffs happen to people at different point in time that determine their decisions.

Stop forming abeg, almost everybody wanna relocate to America. Be it Nigerians, Mexicans, Chinese, Ghanaians etc. That people change status especially on B1/B2 visa isn't peculiar to Nigerians alone. In my few years of staying in the US, I have seen enough.

Can I encourage anybody to relocate/change status here,oh yes! My own personal opinion, I prefer to stay in a sane environment pls. Naija too hard and harsh. Naija is like jungle, survival of the fittest grin

My short story of getting here. Few years ago,I came for a family vacation, my husband and my 2 children. Hubby had a good job with take home of like 20k that time. I was also in academics,so my pay too was ok, like 120k. We applied based on that, truthfully oh, and we were granted B1/B2 visa. Hubby just got a mail on our third night in the US,guess what,na sack letter! Gobe leyi ooooo.

We were devastated, didn't know what to do next. We just decided to manage stay for the remaining vacation period and head back home. But I told my mum about my husband sack letter. She come remember that one of her long lost family friends(Mr A) dey Yankee. We got the man contact and link up with him. We explained our situation to him and the man said our best bet is to stay put for Yankee oh. Naija hard na, hubby will come back home come to join the endless ocean of job seekers.

But Mr A over try for us no be small. He engaged ones of his friends wey be immigration lawyer to put us thru. Mr A offered to do marriage with me and he arranged one white lady to marry my husband, all at no cost. I won't go too deep into it more than this so it won't look as if I dey encourage bad bad thing oh lipsrsealed

We don get our Pali now, doing well in the US. We don't do crime or move with bad gang. And we be employer of labor.

My advice to anybody coming, be focus. It will be tough,no matter the means you come in with,it going to be tough. Naija work etiquette is quite different from Yankee own oh.

Now I'm waiting for supreme court judges to come judge this my matter now.....mchewwww.
Blows_jobs,I'm sorry for my long epistle on your thread.

Why FG hasn’t prosecuted some treasury looters – Osinbajo
Published December 11, 2017

Okechukwu Nnodim, Abuja

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday said a couple of “strategic advice” from independent sources, anti-corruption committees and special panels set up for the recovery of assets that were allegedly looted by previous government officials, had prevented the current administration from going forward with its desire to prosecute the looters.

He disclosed this at the 2017 celebration of the International Anti-corruption Day organised by the Inter-agency Task Team in Abuja.

He also stated that the government had succeeded in weeding out 50,000 ghost workers from its payroll in the last two years, while the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had charged 17 suspects to court for allegedly contributing to the crime.

The vice-president, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Rule of Law, Mr. Akingbolahan Adeniran, however explained that many assets were being recovered from those who stole from government.

He said, “The administration has relied a lot on strategic advice, looking at the fight against corruption from a broad perspective, and basically relying on independent advice in order to move forward in fighting corruption.

“It is focused a lot on prevention, and this is one aspect that a lot of people do not talk about so much. Then enforcement, this is the key aspect of the fight against corruption, there has to be accountability for those who basically violate the law.

“Then asset recovery, which is a key element of the fight against corruption. As regards assets recovery, where there has been no conviction, it is because of the strategic advice that we were given.”

Osinbajo also said the government had approved a National Anti-corruption Strategy, with which it would engage all strata of the Nigerian society in the fight against corruption.

robosky02:
Rohr Still In Search Of Quality World Cup Goalkeeper, To Assess Ezenwa With CHAN

Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr has admitted he is still on the look out for a quality goalkeeper for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Enyimba goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa was in goal in three of the team’s last four games but Rohr seems not fully satisfied with his performance.

First choice Carl Ikeme is treating leukaemia, Daniel Akpeyi has been erratic, while youngster Francis Uzoho is untested.

Rohr is however looking to assess former junior international Ezenwa further at the African Nations Championship in Morocco where he will be in goal for the home-based Super Eagles.

Chippa United’s Akpeyi failed to impress in Super Eagles last game against Argentina despite an impressive club form, while new invitee Uzoho is inexperienced at international level.

Rohr is also trying to lure former first choice goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama out of international retirement as the man who replaced him Ikeme may not be fit enough to be part of the team to the World Cup.

“The last challenge is to find a goalkeeper who satisfies us fully. We are working with my goalkeeping coach, Enrico Pionetti,” Rohr was quoted by French website Football365.fr.

“The African Nations Championship will be important to take stock. Ikechukwu Ezenwa will participate, under the direction of my assistant Salisu Yusuf. I will follow things closely.”

The Super Eagles will face Croatia in their first group game in Russia on June 16 at the Kaliningrad Stadium.

One corner summit grin

LadyNaija:
President Muhammadu Buhari will leave the country tomorrow to join 50 other world leaders in the One Planet Summit in Paris, France.

The summit, is jointly organised by the United Nations, the World Bank Group, and the French Government in partnership with non-governmental organisations concerned about reversing the negative effects of climate change.

The summit holds at the eco-friendly La Seine Musicale, situated on the picturesque Seguin Island in western Paris.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina on Sunday.

He explained that the main focus of the summit, was “Climate Change Financing.”

The statement further stated that while recognising that all countries are affected by the effects of climate change under “One Planet,” some more vulnerable, the summit seeks for tangible collective action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Before heading for the Summit venue, President Buhari will attend a lunch hosted by President Emmanuel Macron of France for Heads of State and Governments at the Elysee Palace.

“President Buhari and other world leaders and participants will make presentations under four sub-themes namely: Scaling-up Finance for Climate Action; Greening Finance for Sustainable Business; Accelerating Local and Regional Climate Action; and Strengthening Policies for Ecological and Inclusive Transition,” Adesina explained.

While signing the Paris Agreement on Climate Change at the sidelines of the 71st Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 22, 2016, the Nigerian leader had said it, “demonstrated Nigeria’s commitment to global efforts to reverse the effects of the negative trend.”

He added that the participation of Nigeria’s delegation at the “One Planet Summit” will reinforce the country’s commitment to realising the objectives of the Paris Agreement.

Buhari will depart for Paris on Monday in company of the governors of Adamawa, Kano and Ondo States, and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Environment.

He will return to Abuja on Thursday.

So sad to read this but I'm sure a better offer will come to you soon. Stay positive.

FrankNetter:
So, I told you guys I was waiting on the results of the background check and drug tests. Everything came out fine, I got an email congratulating me on the success of the process. Got another one telling me where and when to come for orientation and my first day of job. The date was 6th of December, time: 6:30 pm.

I had made up my mind on how I would alternate my time between BurgerKing, Amazon and the CNA jobs I applied for. I had made so much plans men.

On the morning of the 6th, I don arrange my waka finish, arrange wetin I go wear. Went and had a fresh shave. My mum sent me to post some letters and documents for her at the post office, I gladly did it with a spring to my step. I got back home at around 2:45 pm and decided to lay down a little and close my eye to sleep.

I woke up by some minutes past 7:00 pm. My siblings (who had come back from school and work respectively) did not wake me up. I went into overdrive. I just threw on any clothes I could grab, grabbed my car keys and ran out. They were asking me what happened, I no answer them.

No matter how fast I drove, my map kept saying 34 minutes to destination. God knows I was hitting 90 - 100Mph, overtaking cars, changing lanes. I wasn't even thinking.

I got there by some minutes to 8:00pm. I found the venue by around 8:06 pm (or thereabouts). It was when I got to the place I discovered that I forgot my wallet which contains my driver's license.

I couldn't get into the warehouse as you need a photo id and key card to access the place.

I finally caught the attention of someone wearing a yellow vest. She walked over to me, took my names, typed some stuff on her computer and said HR would contact me. On my way back home, I picked up the pizza I ordered earlier, it was supposed to be some sort of celebratory pizza congratulating me on the new job and also marking one year of our stay in the USA. I couldn't even eat it, it was a bitter-sweet day for me.

I just got back from my BurgerKing work this evening, checked my mail and found termination letter sitting jejely for me in my email..
