Hypocrites rushing to carry or touch the casket as if it would pass on to them any blessing same people the late Maitama Sule abhors due to their ways May He rest in peace. Amen. He was the best orator we ever had from the north. |

Now ....what if that's the way Mikel or his family wants it? Have you forgotten how Mikel's father was kidnapped in Jos? You want him to risk bringing his family over so they fall victim? What if his parents do not want to travel abroad? What if they've visit and for security reasons, Mikel decides not to flaunt their visit? Please lets let them live their lives joooor! Lloydfolarin: |
Some form of ID and invitation to the TV talk show would have suffice here sad you can never judge a book from its pages. RIP |
@embolden ....Exactly my thoughts too! We should mind our business when it comes to relationship matters even if it affects our own close family members. Eureka123: |
@embolden .....why must he have a family member in Europe? Even if he does, he can't just invite anyone to family lunch he's not hosting or paying for. We need to understand this clearly. JUst like, you don't visit me without an invite, if you come and I'm eating, I don't have to invite you to the table. Arielle: |
....And why would he want to misbehave? If he's got true love for Olga and she reciprocates? Why are we like this for God's sake! It is his choice on who to spend his life with and not for you and me to decide or criticize Lloydfolarin: |
Sometimes I wonder what the issue is with some people. They're so tribalistic in their thinking. Mikel's parents or family back home in Nigeria have not complained about his wife not visiting or them not at the lunch with Olga's family, why would the so call fan be poke nosing into his affairs!! Fan also went on saying Amokachi is not allowed access to his kids? Where did he get that from? His thinking is Mikel should come and marry from 'home' as usual. This incident would someday put Mikel on the edge with his wife as she would now be suspecting every call up to come and play. She would think Mikel is coming home to start sourcing for a Nigerian wife. Please its not a must to marry your tribal person and please let people marry who they want. ![]() |
Yes He is faithful. I wish people would take extreme care after praying but they would always say Gid/Jesus at the steering wheel and be firing 200mph on the motorway with reckless abandon. Thank God for life. Vision4God: |

Anything to line up their pockets. It's not for a political party to restructure a country but rather the legislative and executive arms. The party may recommend to their members in line of power to guide their decisions. |
More reason why I like some profession's succession path. In the military and judiciary, the year, time of the day you graduated or were commissioned matters when it comes to promotions or appointments. In church we tend to believe differently. |
Toh! You've said it all. The Church today has become an avenue of theatrical acts and followers hip rather than fellowship. The pastor's word supercedes God's word these days hence we now have pastors being called daddy or mummy. Their photographs now are a source of protection to our homes or properties. It has become the equivalent to the mark of blood God directed the Israelite to have on their door posts while preparing to leave Egypt. We blame a religion that kill in the name of their God but the truth is some church members would do same not for their God but their pastors. |
I pray... define the type of work you're referring to. In physics, moving from one point to the other or anything that expends energy is regarded as work. Maybe it means going to all church meetings and crusades but not doing anything that brings about financial benefits. When they say "work and pray" what do they mean? Don't mind me ooo I'm a learner ya but pls answer. oneape: |
You're the one confusing things here. You said asking is not prayer! How do you ask God for something if not through prayer? Now you're saying "faith without work is what?.... " Yet the same you said ask God for anything by faith and you will get it. The problem we face in Christianity is the quoting of scriptures without reference to the full text or the context in which the scripture came to be. You don't jump into the middle of a conversation and use what you heard or read to support your point. Just like the passage that said "ask and you shall receive"... anyone without the proper understanding would say... OK faith is not mentioned so I can always ask and will receive but can you ask your father for favor when you're not on speaking terms? No. So faith alone does not answer prayers. Faith gives you the courage to ask and if God sees your heart is in dire need you get a response. oneape: |
Not by force but they make feel guilty by telling you, you don't come to the presence of God without an offering of Thanksgiving. talk2saintify: |
In as much as we're scared of omonile or the estate companies... Please be scared also of the lawyers and surveyors. Always ask for their bar licensing/practicing numbers. Verify their identities before engaging in business with them. |
Are you saying if I have faith I don't need to work all I need to do is ask God for 20 million naira everyday and my faith would move Him to send it down? Haba! That means no faith in our churches naaa ah. A bit why would churches launch developmental appeal funds to build churches? Don't they have faith to ask God for a Church to his glory and the next day they wake up to one already built and furnished to their taste? Tomorrow someone would come up with a bible verse against laziness and there you are saying ask anything in faith and you will get it. We're just deceiving ourselves by understanding the Bible wrongly. oneape: |
They are still work in progress. |
God will not answer such prayer just to satisfy you He's there and capable. He only answers prayers according to your needs and not wants. If God sees that giving you 20 million naira would cause you more harm than good, he will not give to you. This is where Satan comes in to play. Mind you God will not prevent Satan from having his way at you because you yourself allowed it by asking to satisfy a want. That is why you can get 20 million naira today and it disappears without a trace of any tangible thing you've done with it. God will answer your need for 20 million naira if your having it will glorify His name in your life and others. oneape: |
Church values have been eroded by politics, tribal sentiments, financial gains and scandals amongst others. The people (congregation) have been made to understand the essence of being a Christian wrongly. Someone would come now to quote "where 2 or 3 are gathered in my name, I will be there in their midst" Bible verse. Does it mean when Adeboye or Oyedepo is having his quiet time, God is not there? If I chose to have a quiet time with God within the confines of my room away from all the actings and frivolous outing in churches, does it mean God would not listen to my needs? When we pray to God do we have to be in a congregation? Please let's not take going to church frequently to mean it's a pre-requisite for heaven. Happy Sunday to you all |
Very true. Fashola's government back then ensures that before the rains begin, all drainage systems in the state is cleared and desilted to allow free flow of water but not so under the present government. Ambode's key focus seem to be urban renewal and reducing traffic. Reducing or eliminating Flooding and violence I guess would be the focus during his second term. deebsman1: |
Value added incentive to come to church naaa ConcNiggress56: |
I spend 600 naira daily on transportation to work. This translates to N3000 per week or N12000 per month. A car owner would spend more on fuel and wear and tear due to the traffic situation in Lagos for example. Getting a car would only increase my financial stress but may come handy in other aspect if I'm a business person (deliveries etc). I would get a car if it helps my business and is not a luxurious one. On the other hand, I rent a self contained apartment for 350k a year, getting a land would set me back financially at least N900k. How do I start building and the rest if I'm a salary earner? Agreed the value appreciates but when it appreciates and no buyer, it becomes a locked down asset. Mind you you still have to pay ground rents and live in fear of it not revoked or sold without your knowledge or permission. My take here is go with your current situation and see which pays you most. |
