Very impossible! I work in the industry too and know how these things work dear. How can you use Paga to send money to relatives where? Rural areas or Urban areas? With 10000 agents? They should show us the demographical spread of those transactions naaaa. Even those maiguardi doing shift of duty (stay 4 months before traveling back home) do not use Paga to send money home, so who come de use am naaaa? People with bank accounts? People who can use their cards to transfer funds through the ATMs? Who naaa? Showroom.ng failed basically because of funding! If he had the funds, he won't lack a technical know how! With money you can get anything you want. This same showroom.ng actually supplied furniture to many of these over-hyping startups and felt he has arrived ....read his speech abi an eassay again ....he said "Raise enough money, don’t raise at all or don’t start. I personally think or being conditioned over the years that startups need to raise fund. It’s not so. I worked with a couple partners that didn’t raise a dime for their companies and they are doing pretty fine(offline). Sells a piece here and there. When we started doing fine, I somehow felt entitled to be funded.Somewhere along the line I asked myself, why really must this guys give me money? Did I work the money in their pockets? I felt really bad and awkward sometimes with the process" he entered one chance! Paga $816 million transactions, 5million +users (900k active ....what happened to the 4.1million other users? Shebi if their service were top notch ...it would have been 6Million by now or more? twitter account - 7k Tweets 18K Followers 100 Likes compared to GTBank (corporate) 135K Tweets Following 324 Followers 714K Likes 840 GTBank Help Tweets 63.6K Following 13K Followers 58.1K Likes 50 My point here is that for that large users base and transaction sum, you should get an equal amount or considerable amount of followers who had issues with their transactions ....NO system is 100% perfect! Paga must be so perfect it seem. I just hate all these hypes not beefing them! Truth234: |
Any wonder why cases are unnecessarily delayed in our courts today? All those useless technicality seeking lawyers! |
If Paga is transacting $816 million then how much is Interswitch (a card processing switch) processing through their platform? How much transaction is NIBSS (Nigeria Central Switch) processing nationwide? rhymaholic: |
I mean seriously ...just watch and see in a few weeks time, Paga will announce new round of funding. Funding to do what I don't understand. Loans they won't give, agents they don't have so what are they using these funds for? See Konga they don't even have delivery vans any more. Thank God I turned down their job offer na so I for de sleep with one eye open ...I heard Sim is no longer there. These guys just setup business and soon they cut out from it. Look at Jumia when they first started, touted as Nigeria's home grown platform. It was only later the so called 'founders' resigned and the real owners took over. Look at Andela, EazyTaxi, DealDey ....same thing. These guys know only how to play with numbers nothing more! kekakuz: |
My problem really with all these number peddling. 5,010,709 Customers and counting 10,167+ Agents 4,913+ Businesses US$800 million Processed By how naaau? Who are these 5 million customers? In this same Naija that people are scared of opening accounts with banks who have solid structures on ground? Same Naija that business are scared of accepting POS transactions? Same Naija where Baba Ijebu agents chop your money and don't post your winning numbers na hin person go visit agents to transact? The list of merchants on their website is not even up to 100 business yet they are mentioning 4,913+ Businesses!! Haba Paga as a mobile money operator should tell us the percentage of users who got funds in their wallets and how much funds it holds in its wallet. It should be more than just reeling out numbers just to please investors. Konga raised $70million in the past ....what do they have to show for it? Are they a force to reckon with in eCommerce space in Naija? How many states do they cover? Its all about the numbers .....know how you reel them out you will keep getting funded. This was what killed showroom.ng ....he couldn't reel out the numbers and did not get funded. M-Pesa mobile money platform came to existence because there was a need for such system in rural Kenya and it worked for them. Paga .......I'm not sure has covered the rural areas in Nigeria or would be in a position to do that due to the poor telecommunication infrastructure in the country. Beside this, I believe the CBN or NIBSS rather should be in the position to blow this trumpet and not Paga if truly it is the case! |
Ali Baba did not hang the names on the dogs and paraded them in a Hausa community. we all should stop agitating the tensed religious tolerance in this country. The same thing we saw when a pastor goes to a predominantly Hausa community in the wee hours of the morning preaching. Those are acts of aggression. I understand the Muslims also blast their speakers in the wee hours of the morning too BUT you would hardly hear them insulting Christianity. Nathkem01: |
Exactly! MadCow1: |
so where is the savings? What has it been used for? ![]() |
The same foreign media would keep quiet when Islamic fanatics start getting agitated that someone is naming a dog after their Islamic names (don't know if 'Buhari' is an Islamic name though) but it should be avoided. |
The signal is that strong because their transmitting tower is on that same road ...CBC tower to be precise and located some few meters away from Ebeano Supermarket. I just see it as a gimmick for Union Bank to advertise for free reaching out to lots of users adesanya2014: |

I know right? I should be the one laughing at your ignorance dear. Addicted2Women: |
Imagine! Someone is busy arguing with me on network security and card transactions US has the most unsecured payment card system in the world. Nigerian payment cards are even more secured because of their PIN and Chip technology, it can hardly be cloned. Transmit your card details over unsecured WiFi network and someone picks up the details ...you're doomed!Livefreeordieha: |
Go sidon!! Wetin you sabi! You don't even understand what you're saying! Do you think the same Wifi network McDonalds use for their Card point of sale terminals is the same the share free and open with other customers? Aside from that do you think the POS terminal transmits over unsecured network connection to the card processors? Master Card and VISA or AMEX won't even allow that in the first place. Come and try transactions online in Naija using unsecured connection with your card naaaa! Addicted2Women: |
Hmmm ....what consular card again? Your friend is being milked gradually by his friend in Senegal. A consular card is just registration with Nigerian High Commission there and is voluntary. Just get your Yellow Card and be ready to process your resident permit if needs be. RichardSonia: |
Correct! Buh please be careful with your passwords shaaa! Boys are not smiling. In Eastern Europe, your credit/debit cards are not charged for transactions you thought you paid using your cards. It is only after a few months you will start receiving charges on your card for transactions you never carried out. |
Do not mind these people jaaaare! Na where den go chop den de look for! Femich18: |
No dear but the issue get k-leg naaa! The boy not hubby's relative yet he has so much courage and confidence in staying in the house without doing anything ....haba so much meets the eyes jaaaare! misscall247: |
No doubt about this but the law MUST state the percentage allowed to be collected as 'foundation fee'. Not when you pay N100million for a land and the family insist on collecting N200Million as foundation fee. sobmos: |
The one Otedola give Farcrook since God knows when, whose source was known and which we all know was inappropriately given or received has not been closed yet e busy de tok about the one we all knew and agreed was appropriate! Useless senator. Na because de money nor split enter hin hand. Btw ....he received more than $150 per day the athletes were being given yet expected them to bring 78 Gold medals. Thunder fire them!

Request for a DNA test to know if the boy and your hubby are related ....wether he's your hubby's love son cos it seem the guy knows something you don't know for him to be behaving that way and your hubby not acceding to your complaints Rossy99: |
Hin for dress rubbish make OBJ snub am naaa ![]() |
Well how did that help us in the past year? rather than encourage the influx of investors it did not. It was rebased using the artificial strength of the Naira then and which the present administration hotheadedly refused to back down from until when it was too late. I know people would be saying the exchange rate was better under GEJ but its wrong and that was what reduced our reserves to its lowest ebb now. You don't try to pretend to be what you are not. Falling oil price and mono-economy are not ideal for a rebased image laundering. Boss13: |
Only the good relationship between OBJ and PMB is still keeping Ms Adeosun there. Wonder what is keeping Emefiele there ![]() I wonder why they will be proposing a higher benchmark price for oil and the production numbers after what they've suffered. They even had the audacity to use N290 to the dollar because that clueless governor told them it would stabilize ....are they all madt ni? They're still bragging over the release of N400billion .....who dat amount don epp? Anyway GEJ didn't do any better <for those who may want to point that out here>. He virtually killed the economy. How can you rebase your economy to be the largest in the whole of Africa? Is this not the purview of independent bodies like IMF and World Bank? Now you go around telling the world you are rich or have rich economic prospect ....who will borrow you money on that note? |
New cards are printed by default to replace expired ones whether or not you requested for it. That is why new cards retain the same card number and your PIN except you chose to change it. MrEverest: |
Awusa rice they will call it buh the stomach knoweth not its origin ![]() |
Why would he be coming back for the Paralympics? That girl na dundee shaa ![]() |
Ow nice. CBN governor would be on the lookout for this ![]() |
Sad buh one down ..more to go ![]() |
