5hyguy: cool, but step 7, my opinion is, that by default all submissions made will be unpaid as status, wich dosent give the user anything to print, but is it possible that after the payment the subsmission that had unpaid as a status be updated to paid, is there any code that handles that, do u get.

By default submissions in stored in step 3 are marked unpaid. While in step 7 the same database is updated when the response from Pay4me is received.

If you look closely in the response notification snippet sent to you earlier, you will notice the part with the SQL connect part and also the 'insert' query which you can also modify to do a database 'update'.

1) fill form,
2) details are posted to the gateway from the form, e.g transaction id, name, custom fileds that i want to be posted.
3)after successfull payment details are posted back through the response url and the details that are posted be submitted to a database

Sure you can. The process would be as follows

1. Applicant fill form
2. Applicant submits form
3. Data is submitted and temporarily stored in a database table
4. A page displays the entries and prompts applicant to confirm entries
5. Applicant redirected to Pay4me after confirmation
6. Applicant pays and gets a successful notification response
7. Application Portal Updated
8. Temporary database table updated with response
9. Applicant validates payment (using validation number) and prints out certificate

Ok ..do you intend the applicants to submit the final apllication after successfully making a payment? If yes then you might also explore the use of validation numbers. What this means is that on successful payment, Pay4me sends back the notification ro your application including the validation number amongst others. Applicants would now be required to 'validate the payment just like users do during login process

Ok. Why not employ the use of temporary database tables to store the applicant's entry and on payment insert the data into the permanent table meant for that.

Don't forget that applicants knowing who they are, may need to update their entries before submitting finally for payment or in some cases if they don't have the means of payment, prefer to come back to it later.

This way you can actually enable them generate some form of Application ID with which they can retrieve their saved entries and conclude the process.

What this mean is that, when the form is filled by the applicant and clicks on submit, this should save the details in your database. There should be a next page to display the entries for confirmation or hidden fields through which the required request XML would be POSTed to Pay4me. This way the form data is saved in the database before payment is initiated. I don't know if you understand this?

How it works is that, during setup, you are required to indicate what your 'response notification URL' would be. This URL is the path through which Pay4me would POST the status and details of transactions successfully consummated on their platform to and for you to update your existing transaction table.

Now for you to retrieve the successful response notification and make use of it, you need this script on a file mapped to the response notification URL path. Say for example your configured response notification path is http://localhost/response.php ...your script would be on the 'response.php' file located on your web root folder.

As regards sending additional fields, these can be accommodated using the 'parameters' configured for your application on setup but you would need to store same in your database before calling up on the request XML as Pay4me would not send back those details to you.

Validity rules applies only during the application stage. if you are traveling on the passport that expires soon, it means you will have to apply for another on your return. I would advice that you apply for the renewal now while in Nigeria than when out there.
