Not sure there is a need for a debate cos it's been discussed severally on this thread. Even if one goggles WES or IQAS on Nairaland. You would see what is being said. What I see is that people want ready made answer and don't even want to research.

The summary of the matter is that WES does verification of transcript for nigerian certificates. This can cause delay depending on how fast your school responds. IQAS currently has a processing time of 30 days but do not do verification thus making it faster in the long run.

That being said. WES is recommended for HND, ND, ACCA and foreign certificates. I would suggest that anyone evaluating a Nigerian degree try IQAS and exercise patience due to the volume of transactions. At least you know u have done ur part once and for all.

Seems you didnt read my comment. All the best as you use WES but get ready for delays due to verification especially with the strike experienced by your school. In the end it is up to you to make a decision

My one kobo advice. Avoid WES and use IQAS. You can search for previous posts on them. Your waec result is not relevant for this purpose. Just your bsc is enough. Patiently read through this thread esp the first few pages and understand the requirements. You may not need a Ontario nomination If u can get at least 8 in listening and 7 in the other areas of IETLS..

I recently revived my Long concived interest in applying for the FSWP. So sorry about this but I believe it will end in praise.. Either Ontario nominates you or you get a favourable remark.. You will get your ITA this year.

I haven't done a remark before but I understand there is a form you would fill at the British council and you pay 15k. I guess experienced guys can guide you further.

Really angry and feeling devastated right now. July 8th exam result just came out and it was a mess up for me. LSRW-7.5,7,6.5,7.5. Feel so hurt and tired of the whole thing. Ain't doing dat exam again perhaps for now. Gotta take a break, Ontario might call while chilling being an IT person with 381 which is possibly hitting 390 after spouse's ECA or EE cut off just come down to 390 while I believe will happen someday from a personal study. I will be glad to embrace any of the stated options.

Gotta take a break but before dat lemme ask for a remark in listening and reading. Who knows, something good might come outta dat cos I'm a bit optimistic about it especially for the listening.

Guyz, can someone please list all the steps involved in asking for a remark biko. Dat's all I need for now.

Yes please.. he can evaluate both nd and HND. Adding his Bsc to it doesn't give any extra point. Please remember that this only applies to WES.

Good day guys... Good news, i have gotten PPR. I have a few questions i need answers to and will appreciate if PPL with verifiable experience can help out (dont comman give me theoretical sturvz). I applied as a single/unmarried candidate, but towards the PPR date, my GF (of 3 years) and i started considering marriage. It was my plan to get married before PPR and then add her on, but these things don't always go as planned all the time. My questions;

1. Will it appear suspicious if date of marriage is days after PPR? Would it look like a set up?
2. What is the process of adding a spouse to my application and how long does it take to get COPR from the point of adding her. Does she need to do ECA & IELTS and all that?
3. Is it advisable to continue with my application solo and then file for her after marriage? How long does filing after marriage take and what are the short comings if any?
4. If we choose to get married, i have heard there is a way to fast track and have a registry conduct the marriage between 3-5 days for a fee. How true is this? Does anyone here have any links/contacts?
5. Form IMM8, is this mandatory? Do i also have to list every single member or my family even though they are not traveling with me? A portion on the form asks for an address and destination in Canada. Am i bound by whatever choice i make after submitting this form? I.e. Can i put Toronto on the form and then opt for Manitoba when i choose to go?

Yes it would with WEs. You can focus on the ND and HND.

Please permit me to correct your statement. It's been discussed severally here that HND (and ND) gives more points for this purpose than BsC as WES evaluates it as two or more certificates.

To the person that inquired, please use the crs tool provided to calculate your points or better still state your parameters. Age most importantly since you previously provided the others. The fact that you are in a contract role doesn't make you ineligible, what matters is your job description.

With your HND only, slim chance except you get provincial nomination.
The following factors boost your chance
High qualification, at least msc (or first degree in Canada)
High Ielts score (@ least 8 in listening, 7 in others)
Age (29 and below get you maximum points)
Experience (3 years and above)

If you are deficient in age and qualification, you need a very high ielts score plus experience
With you HND you need at least ,(my permutation)
7.5 in speaking and writing
8.5 in listening
8 in reading
You must not be more than 34, the lesser the better,
Your experience must be one required in the NOC with at least 3 years experience

Requesting gcms notes before meds passed may not have adequate info. Usually not adviced to request till after a month of passing meds.

I too didn't pass meds when other people were passing left, right center. But I eventually passed. It's not easy to wait patiently but that's the only solution in the immigration race.

Same here AOR June 12. No update... I check daily to be sure there is no ADR. Let's remain hopeful.. They are almost done with June peeps for medicals. I want to believe it's the VO that has not updated the status. Please keep the house posted when you get an update. Thanks

I second the vote and I would suggest that page 0 and 1 is for frequently asked questions and answers so the newbies can easily access it and we wont spend time repeating same answers.

Thanks. I guess we assumed the copy of PR card is needed. Its all good. Our faith is in God.. Some people who reviewed and uploaded all thier documents still got rejected. In all, I would say, do your part and let God have his way.

This whole CIC process can give one sleepless nights if you allow it, the best is to trust God and do ur best. I would come back here to share my PPR testimony

Madam, this is very dangerous because you don't know what your relative has uploaded. It is your application and all documents being uploaded should be reviewed by you. You can only hope that he uploaded the document he claimed to upload and there would be no issue. Yes, PR card is a sensitive document, but he doesn't need to upload that.

Please follow Boss13 and other people's advice.

So my husband has a step sibling in Canada, we didnt get points for it though when we got our ITA.
After claiming relative in Canada and step sibling agreed to send us docs to prove relationship.

Time to upload doc, step sibling changed his mind about sending us docs. That they are sensitive and he can't just send them to us anymore :O

Please what do we do? How do we address this issue? We have a few days left to submission.

I actually submitted a wrong document initially but I realized 4days after submitting and I immediately raised a case for document replacement and I uploaded the correct one. Now I do not know whether to go ahead and raise another CSE to explain or to just go and create a new profile? What do you think? Urgent please.

Yes it is if you have officially changed your name. Please add an affidavit to the newspaper publication

so i got an update. additional document request......my intl passport has less than 6mnths validity while in process and av been asked to upload a new one.....within 7 days.
I have applied for a new passport since 10th May but unfortunately its not forthcoming till now.
Is it possible to ask for an extension? how can i go about that?
Is there anyone of us here wit a solid contact at PH immigration??

So sorry about this. Just to understand the situation. Did you put an LOE explaining what was attached in the placeholder? Was the old passport arranged before the new passport? Lastly what is your AOR.

Hi - are you using the CRS tool on the CIC website? If so, I don't see anywhere that asks for number of family members if you ticked "single" for your marital status. Anyways, family doesn't refer to the number of brothers or sisters you've got, but to spouse + children. I believe that's what that question means.

Anything you submit a bank statement for as a PA should be accompanied by the reference letter. Howeveir, not everyone submits all bank statement esp if their POF is not in them and if there is no transfer between each account, there is really no way the VO will know u have other bank accounts. But if you need those accounts to explain a transaction, you should consider including it.

Case where one has different accounts with different banks (say 3 different accounts with 3 different banks). Are we to get reference letter from the 3 banks or just reference letter from the bank that holds the POF while we just submit the statement of account of the remaining 2 bank accounts?
