Sasng7: Hey people,
Just received my PPR. Thanks to almighty God and to all the info and community spirit we have here. I have a few questions though for the veterans: The email suggests we can send our passports via dhl or vfs and recommends dhl, but there's no forwarding address. Where am I supposed to send the docs to? Also the Mail subject had CPCO- does this mean my processing VO is Ottawa? We have 15 days to send these in. Please people ... Congratulations! May the Land favour you |

Good evening my e-family,
Please i need your help. Does anyone have a contact in UNILAG DLI admin office that can help with WES verification? I called all the contacts I got here for Unilag records office but they said DLI transcript and verification is processed directly by DLI and they can't help.
My verification has been sent since November 2017 and the strike has been on since about that time.
Please i will truly appreciate it if anyone here can assist.
Regards... |

hifyty: Folks,
I have a testimony, we have passed our medicals, even though the CIC doc told us clearly, you would most likely be asked for further tests for your daughter. we give glory to God that is not happening. I dont know how God did it but he did it anyway. The good glitch that happened also moved our application into the IP2 gang.
Let me borrow the most popular phrase in here; It will end in praise! Cheers Congratulations!!! This is great news. Our God is a wondrous God. Doing immeasurably more than what we can ask or imagine. PPR next! Congrats to the family. |

Hello my E-family,
The bible says I should give thanks in every situation.
So I am grateful for my result.
L - 8.5 R - 9 S - 7.5 W - 6.5
I am trying not to feel low. I know I gave it my best shot. Well... I thank God.
I have been advised to apply for remark.
@glitteringstar @mcstan @new mum Do you guys think a remark will increase my writing score.
Can i go into the pool with this score and apply for a remark at the same time?
Please i need your advices. |

JudithToochi: Thanks dear, I sha wanted to use them because they're new in town and less people know about them, talking about the speakers, people who have used them said they got better scores, I guess with less people it might be fair. I don't know if they are licensed by ircc and if I can use the result for express entry. They are accredited by ircc |

please i have a few questions and need clarifications in these areas, would really appreciate the help.
first of i have a postgraduate HRM degree from a uk university, does that pass as a masters for EE? if not do i need to evaluate my first degree B.A from a Nigerian university alongside the Postgraduate degree?
thanks all. PGD is PGD, so you can evaluate both Bsc and Pgd to get higher points. |

fred900: Please Gurus in the house help me clear this out.
At the point of my application to CIC we are a family of 3, but my wife is pregnant. Considering the settlement funds, will i have to provide POF to cover the unborn child? You only have to get additional funds if your wife gives birth before PPR or before landing. If you get PPR and land in Canny before she gives birth. You are go to go. |

peddy001: Hello guys, im kinda new here but wanted clarification on something.
Over a month ago I applied for the CPHR (Certified Professional in Human Resources) Certification from Canada and the CPHR Institute just approved this for me from on of the major Province. With this approval my CRS score would jump from 408 to 458.
My question now is that will this certification from a Canadian Federal Province add to my point?
Hi In question 7 on the CRS Tool it states:
Do you have a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province, territory or federal body? Note: A certificate of qualification lets people work in some skilled trades in Canada. Only the provinces, territories and a federal body can issue these certificates. To get one, a person must have them assess their training, trade experience and skills to and then pass a certification exam.
People usually have to go to the province or territory to be assessed. They may also need experience and training from an employer in Canada.
This isn’t the same as a nomination from a province or territory. you either put Yes or No Also note that there is a similar question on the CRS Tool in Q4b. which one is advised to answer No.
Gurus in the house pls kinda advice on the appropriate way forward. Can it be used or not? Hi @Peddy001 Please i sent you a PM |

dtaminator: My Nairaland Family,
All glory to God!!
Finally got the golden mail today.
First my story.
We got interested in this journey in Jan 2015 when express entry was introduced, but we didn't take the 1st step till Sept of 2015 when we took our IELTS. Started following this thread around mid 2016. I started my ECA in January 2016. My ECA took 1 year to process all because I wanted to have my Unilag Diploma 1 certificate accessed to meet the then very high cut offs. The program was defunct and there was no trace of any records. Finally, records office generated the result from my statement and sent in December 2016, only for WES to totally ignore it. By this time, scores had started to come down. But I still needed the 25 points that 2 or more certs would have given. ECA came out in March 2017 as BSc only. At this point, we were still contemplating making wifey the primary applicant as she was younger and had a masters and an LLb but only 1 year work. Long story short, cutoff visited 413 in May just to pick us up. We submitted out application on the very last day. Time line below.
ITA- May 31st AOR-29th August Meds passed and IP1- Sept 12th NA2-Sept 13th File moved to London VO- Oct 25th(got message of how to find a job in Canada) Sent mail to confirm VO on 12th Nov, got confirmation of London on the 15th Request to pay RPRF- Dec 5th PPR- Dec 6th
We used a gift deed and only a small part of my bank statement as the six month printout was too large to upload.
Marriage cert had Civil Engr(my education) my job was in another NOC.
No LOE or anything No ADR even though wifey has had a couple of visa refusals in the past.
I would like to encourage us that there is absolutely no reason to fear the dreaded London Visa Office as our very imperfect application scaled through in a reasonable time. Package your application to the best of your ability, be truthful, and follow CIC's instructions.
All the best to all hopefuls.. Congrats |

Dannyko: **Verification is free ,it's only your transcripts you will pay for**
*Also, you are required to send a copy of your certificate to WES(I faxed mine via Hellofax - I read all the instructions on this thread.Try to search the thread, you will find the procedure.) Hope this helps!
CC: Ehimen100 Glitteringstar @dannyko, hi Please you said verification is free but just this Monday my hubby was asked to pay 3k at the bank thru remitta for verification. Everyone says it free but that's the info hubby was given. Anyone currently processing transcripts in Unilag. Please can you help clarify this info. Thanks |
