FamilyRe: Your Spouse Gets You A Life Insurance Policy Behind Your Back by bintab(f): 7:18am On Oct 20, 2008
Taking a life insurance is not a taboo nor should it be considered suicide mission. It is absolutely illegal to take it without either of the spouse consent but honestly, it is very important. No matter what you invested on here in the states it is all at risk and with the way economy is taking turns daily you may as well not invest all, i mean stocks ,409k and the rest. Been financial independent in the states requires you to be a millionaire of sort.If you are actually looking out for your love ones in case anything happens, you will greatly considered life insurance. It is not a way out to financial freedom but considered it as a bail out from bills both of you must have procured and benefits of the children born in to the marriage. Both party should have mutual understanding ,trust each order and love each other dearly to considered this.I will not condoled the act of plusqueen friend ,if that ever happen to me i will cancel it immediately.

FamilyRe: To Braid Or Not To Braid!?! by bintab(f): 9:15am On Oct 15, 2008
Hair braids among guys is very unaccepted in naija culture. It is attributed to idol worshippers only, so ur dad is concerned  about a negative image for his son ,partly because he cares and secondly due to the curse attached to it. i will employ you to listen to him,he does have ur  best at heart. uR image to foreigners might be o.k and liked but i tell at naija it is a big curse.

FamilyRe: Going To Nigeria To Meet His Parents With His Daughter (from The Ex-wife)? by bintab(f): 8:19am On Oct 15, 2008
Igbo people mostly insisted on their sons especially the 1st son marries from their land not merely just an igbo but insisted she has to be from thesame tribe.Things are now changing with the educated ones, they are a little lenient with the choices their children now makes.I sincerely pray your hearthrob folks are among the understanding who put love first above all.Meanwhile ,i don't think they will have a problem accepting ur step daughter at all, most Nigerians i mean grand parent loves their grandchildren unconditionally, in short you should adopt this step child of yours whole heartedly as it will definitely help woo the heart of your spouse family. A child in a relationship goes a long way in Africa not only naija people.Wish you the best baby girl.

True be told, you will definitely have a hard time with the people in naija no matter what you do to be polite and nice especially when the folks are not well educated and also it depends on the area where your bobo is from , i mean Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba and other minority groups.Be ready to face a lot of critics and snubs, the stand of your husband for you will also go along way determining your acceptance in to the society. But above all keep all courage ,be optimistic and be sincere with your dealings with them and your love will see you through.Cheers,

FamilyWhy Are Nigerian Men Killing Their American Nurses Wives. by bintab(op): 8:05am On Oct 03, 2008
If you have any opinion or insight about this topic, please reply with solutions ,advise and ways we can prevent the killings of our sisters in the land they sojourn for greener pastures.I will surely appreciates it  as it will help in  the discussion of the problem at the Nigerian nurses associations new york, chicago and various organizations of Nigerian associations in USA.I write because no child deserves to see her or his mother or father in handcuffs or mourn the death of one parent by the hands of of the other.I write because i am aware that several women are at  breaking points and a lots of men are at loosing it.We are in our 20s,30s,40, and 50s,highly educated, work laboriously to meet the needs of our families and  yet very much afraid to speak of the unjust treatment of our spouses. In the past 3 years over a dozen of our Nigerian women who were nurses were brutally murdered by their spouses, some in the presence of their beloved children.some cases have been ruled on others are pending in various courts across the nation. I begin to wonder what are the justification to murder another if we truly profess love.
