I placed my comment about the article to point out that it wasn't current news etc but more of putting OBJ's current angst in perspective. Can PMB put OBJ in jail? Why don't you ask OBJ who raised exactly this alarm 13 months ago? If he didn't believe his junior in the army could jail him why did he raise an alarm and why is he in panicky Samson Option mode? Didn't Abacha his junior send him to jail without even blinking? Xisnin: |

Politics / Buhari Planning To Send Me To Jail, Obasanjo Raises The Alarm by biodunid: 3:02pm On Jul 26, 2019 |
Who remembers this mid 2018 alarm raised by OBJ before he suddenly fell in love again with Atiku? Can anyone connect this to his sudden role as Yoruba and Southern Nigeria Voltron? Could PMB conceivably arrest or even probe him over any of his financial and capital crimes that we all heard so much about now he has donned the toga of Messiah? This is one reason some of us discount any of his histrionics by 99%. We know Baba neither wants to go to jail for his crimes nor vomit our yams but God will continue to grant him long life and health so that he will one day pay for all he has done and continues to do against this blessed commonwealth in Jesus name. Buhari planning to send me to jail, Obasanjo raises the alarm Published June 8, 2018 Samuel Awoyinfa, Abeokuta A former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has raised the alarm that the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration has put his name on its security watchlist. Obasanjo claimed security agencies are plotting to arrest and put him in detention. The former president made these allegations in a statement signed by his media aide, Kehinde Akinyemi, on Friday in Abeokuta. Obasanjo noted that the present administration wanted to blackmail him into abandoning his divine mandate to protect the rights of Nigerians to a better life. The statement read in part: “Since Chief Olusegun Obasanjo declared in his State-of-the-Nation special statement on January 23, 2018, the desperation to frustrate, intimidate and blackmail him into abandoning his divine mandate to protect the rights of the people to better life and living continued unabated and has even taken a bizarre dimension. “Impeccable security sources have alleged Chief Obasanjo’s name is on their Watch List and that the security of his life cannot be guaranteed. “According to these informants, many of who are in the top echelon of the nation’s security management and close to the corridors of power, the operatives are daily perfecting how to curtail the personal liberties of the former President and hang a crime on him. “Ordinarily, we would not have dignified these reports with a response but for the fact that many of these informants are not known for flippant and frivolous talks. “This government has demonstrably exhibited apathy, and in some cases, encouraged by its conduct, daily loss of lives and property in many states of the country, the office cannot be indifferent. We are currently in a nation where the Number Three citizen is being harangued and the Number Four citizen is facing similar threat within the same Government they serve. “There is a groundswell of our nationals that live in fear that they could be hounded, harassed, maimed or even killed as the battle for 2019 takes this worrisome dimension. “The content of the alleged beastly designs, it was learnt are two-fold for now. One, to seize his International Passport and clamp him into detention indefinitely, in order to prevent him from further expressing angst on the pervasive mediocrity in the quality of governance, economic management and in the protection of lives and property by the government. “But, since that could expose the government to a swath of international condemnation, embarrassment and outrage, it is said that another plot being hatched is to cause the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to re-open investigation into the activities of Chief Obasanjo’s administration using false witnesses and documents. This will be a re-enactment of the Abacha era in which Chief Obasanjo was one of the principal victims. “The same EFCC that had conducted a clinical investigation on the activities of Obasanjo in and out of Government, it was said, would now be made to stand down the existing report that gave Chief Obasanjo a clean bill of health on the probes are now to get him indicted, fair or foul for possible prosecution and persecution like it is being done to real and perceived opponents, enemies and critics of this Government. Dissent is a fundamental principle on which liberal democracy is predicated. A true democrat must be ready to live with and accommodate dissent and opposition. “While it is regrettable how the Government has sunk in its shameless desperation to cow opposition, a resort to blackmail, despotism and Gestapo-tactics being employed by the goons of this Government would not hold water. And no government ever remains in power forever. “For the record, Chief Obasanjo reiterates his readiness to face probe again after that of the House of Representatives, the Senate, the ICPC, and the EFCC, but before an independent, objective and credible panel of enquiry to account for his stewardship in Government and beyond. “Chief Obasanjo reiterates that he has taken a principled position to ensure that the ship of the Nigerian State does not capsize and he remains steadfast in his resolve to turn the tide of maladministration, poor economic management and rudderless governance model that has torn Nigerians apart on account of religion and ethnicity which is a great threat to our democracy. “We would like the Government and its supporters to understand that no amount of campaign of calumny, no matter how well contrived, orchestrated or marketed would deter Chief Obasanjo from calling a spade by its name. Chief Obasanjo is a patriot whose sole agenda is to ensure that the country’s unity, progress, and democracy are not negotiated on the altar of incompetence and provincialism and mediocrity.” https://punchng.com/breaking-obasanjo-raises-alarm-over-his-safety/ |

The wahala with you guys and your fundamental sleight of hand is to teach that the only way to give to God is through pastors / church which is quite contrary to what Jesus taught us all in Mat 25: 31-46. Pls read it below and be reminded how Jesus wants us to give to him and serve him. Meanwhile I know a fellow who just did several transfers this morning. First was to set up 12 recurring transfers of N40k each to his brother who is in his 70s but has fallen on hard times despite having blessed the whole family when the going was good. Second was a N100k transfer to his neighbour who is ill and also not in good shape financially. Pls note he is not on good terms with the neighbour politically. Third was 12 recurring transfers of N15k each to a cousin who is a struggling widow with two kids. Fourth is N180k to a female cousin in her 70s who is childless and not too able economically. Fifth is N360k to a cousin he wronged in childhood so this is more of ongoing reparation. Pls note that today isn't an extraordinary day for him as he generally provides for the needs of those around him as God has blessed him. Question is: Can we say this fellow would have complied better with the words of Jesus in Mat 25 and elsewhere if he had given all this money to some overfed pastor who had deceived him by claiming to be the only way to God? We should read our bibles pali to pali and stop being made merchandise of. Parable of The Sheep and the Goats 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.” 5 Likes |

Investment / Bitcoin Plunges As Investors Suffer Reality Check by biodunid: 12:15pm On Dec 22, 2017 |
Bitcoin plunges as investors suffer reality check Published December 22, 2017 Bitcoin prices plunged by a quarter on Friday as investors cashed out just before Christmas after the wildly volatile currency’s stratospheric rise in recent weeks. The precipitous drop comes after a series of warnings by analysts and governments about a bubble that could burst at any moment as investors, many inexperienced, piled into the unit hoping to enjoy some of the eye-watering gains. The controversial cryptocurrency fell to $12,191 from its Thursday price of $16,563. It is down almost 40 percent down from its record high of $19,500 seen on Monday, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The sell-off has bled through to other cryptocurrencies such as Dash, Litecoin and Ripple, all of which were sent plunging. Stephen Innes, head of trading for Asia Pacific at OANDA, said investors are having a “reality check”. He added: “At the heart of the matter was a frenzied demand for coins with limited supply has now led to unsophisticated investors holding the bag at the top.” At its height, Bitcoin had soared almost 30-fold since the start of the year and has moved into the mainstream as two major US exchanges began trading futures in the unit. And the mania that has swept the Bitcoin universe saw a New York beverage company this week announce it was shifting into cryptocurrency-related investments. Long Island Iced Tea Corp of Farmingdale, New York — which says it currently produces the soft drink with a proprietary recipe — said on Thursday it was changing its name to “Long Blockchain Corp” and would explore investments in the technology underlying cryptocurrencies. Shares in the firm rose 180 percent on the tech-rich Nasdaq following the news. Bitcoin began looking shaky on Wednesday when it took a 15-percent hit following news South Korean exchange Youbit had been hacked, leading the firm to say it will close and start bankruptcy proceedings. South Korea and Japan are home to some of the largest number of traders in the currency. The Youbit development came a day after US authorities suspended trading in a popular Bitcoin-related stock, citing concerns about market manipulation. The Crypto Company’s share price had risen 1,700 percent between the end of September and Monday evening before the Securities Exchange Commission intervened to halt trades until January 4. There have been numerous warnings about a possible blowout in the Bitcoin market. Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said on Thursday that the price surge of the virtual currency was “abnormal”, while Singapore’s central bank advised investors to “act with extreme caution”. The vice-president of the European Central Bank has also expressed concern about the relentless rise in the value of Bitcoin and the potential risk accompanying the trend. US Federal Reserve boss Janet Yellen has said Bitcoin is not money and called on banks to be certain their digital currency transactions adhere to anti-money laundering statutes. Lilith is a dangerous demon of the night, who is sexually wanton, and who steals babies in the darkness.[1] The character is generally thought to derive in part from a historically far earlier class of female demons (lilītu) in ancient Mesopotamian religion, found in cuneiform texts of Sumer, the Akkadian Empire, Assyria, and Babylonia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lilith |
