coogar: i doubt it.......
most of them don't date for marriage - they just want sex and they know such relationships are dead-end relationships. the likelihood of a 40 year-old woman marrying a 22 year-old dude is slim.
What of 48 to 30.. Doesn't look so bad anymore

Tgirl4real: Lol

But there is no rule that says playing hard to get will make him love or respect u more. The case u mentioned could have gone otherwise.

Like Coogar said, I know a guy I 'can' date in mins and I know the one I will date (all things being equal) within a few hours to a few days of interracting with him.

If I stress u, it means sum'n isn't just right somewhere, maybe I couldn't just figure it out early enough (I know better now sha grin ), but if we ended up dating, I'll surely break it off later on.

So, it's better I don't start it at all.

Like the popular Yoruba adage, what u won't eat, u don't mess around with it. grin

Tgirl4real: That isn't typical jor, cos I'm not like dat. I actually do d opposite. grin

Except I don't dig d guy sha. Even at that, courtesy demands that u reply when someone tries to reach u. Worst, u will tell him u aint interested.

I can't stand such an attitude in guys too, cos some act indifferently all in d name of being an "alphamale".
Excellent post as always..
Me i beleieve women shd not make it too easy for the man like one of my friends who was not appreciated by her man until she left and marrried some one else however one should not make the chase the thrill
Hence some guys will now go over the other end when they finally marry u and u wil come to NL to cry again grin

horny4u: I am exactly like this...I play with my male friends n will ask them to hang out but if I am dating someone I become the woman and he the man ( chaser). He will organise everything from phone calls ( I pick 2 out of every 3 and I donot reply text msgs except related to a date)especially when I like a guy very much.

It creates longing in a man, it makes him angry and wonder where I am and what I am doing....in fact na me dey hin mind through out...before you know it while he complains I have built my skyscapper in his mind...but I mke sure tht during dates I am lots of fun so he knows if he wnts to be with me...he will have to ask for a saturday date by wednesdy or else nothing dey...( note its not easy for me at all becos I m falling for the guy gan ni)after 3- 6 months of this ...I begin to reduce the torture on him small small...anyway how many times have you heard a man say my wife showed me gan but its all good I love her.

Men value wht they work hard for...in igbo land they make them pay, some other tribes they beat them black and blue....I just use this method to evaluate his seriousness...afterall when he wifes me I will be taking care of him and our kids for the rest of my life.
interesting insight into the typical female psyche

coogar: you make men chase you for 3-6 months before you reduce the torture? you must be beyonce's lost sibling. i am sure you must have lost dozens of good men while you were playing hard to get.

WOW!!!WOW!!!

Good post!!

ukchy: Sooo sorry,i just want you to know that Nigerian banks are not fully matured for all this internet banking and online stuff,i will advice you to get a lawyer that knows what he is doing and sue their ASS.... embarassed after which you close the account...

This is a clear case of insider job, since you said you didn't update your account info online. My dear NL,we have to be wise and educate our friends and family to be alert especially those outside the country.

I was a banker and will tell you the truth, some of these IT guys in head offices are big time corporate thieves,so also some head of operations. They have syndicates that they provide with customer's info especially for customers abroad and deceased customer's or some customer that have not withdrawn from the account for years. They carry out most of this there fraudulent act on weekends because they sometimes need to do some maintenance work on weekends.they will use the opportunity to move customer's money and inform their partner's in crime. Our IT department was dissolve and everybody there was sent home because of incessant ATM and online fraud.Could you believe that a fraudster that works with IT guy went and open 3 different account in different branches with fake information and uses the ATM card to withdraw 14m in a day,on a Saturday,10 different bank ATM,to the extent that in one of the branch,he finishes the money in their ATM.the funniest thing is that he opened the account with 2k each, and the withdrawals was not showing on the account if you query the account statement, after serious investigation, they find out that the card issued to the customer was credit card not debit card and that somebody supply the thief with code he uses to operate, that was how the IT dept was dissolve and even the account officer was affected because he didn't do proper KYC. If you have worked in control dept, you go fear some of your colleagues.

What some of them do is to be checking customers account that has huge balance and less activity. There is a case that was on in my former branch before i left the HOP transfer customer's N17m to his wife account in Sterling bank and use the money to establish a BDC because the owner of the money is abroad and the account has been dormant for close to 4yrs,but luck ran out of him when the customer suddenly surface and want to make withdrawal,he try to frustrate the customer by delaying him and buying time to know if he will pay back the money and the customer suspect and went to another branch to query his account and was told that he has a balance of 15k,and that was where his wahala starts.

We have to be very careful because some of this guys live above their means and will always want to show off.
TV/MoviesRe: Naruto Information by biolabee(m): 4:19pm On May 06, 2013
Parnassuss: Its the 'Road to ninja' prelude, if u watched the movie or saw the trailers you would definitely experience a sort of de ja vu from the 311 ep.

But I have to ask, which of the Naruto movies would u as a fan recommend to someone in the hopes of hooking him to the series? And I mean only from the shipuudden era, a mateof mine thinks they are all garbage but I think the movie with fortune telling priestess where Lee, Neji and Sakura are also in would be the one. I think any movie that gives Naruto alone too much face time is doomed to fail but where interesting supporting characters like Lee appear we have winners
Nice topic/// I like that one and also the blood prison movie
The one he met a younger minato is ok

Maybe we list the movies and rate them like a poll
Can we remove this poll at the top

PoliticsRe: South African Robbers Shoot At Nigerian Diplomat And Family In Pretoria! by biolabee(m):
Kgdavid: lol well been silent for about 20 pages or so and what i said back then has been confirmed now. the majority of those trading insults are people who most likely are cool folk in real life. i like the fact that our tempers are so easily aroused in defense of our national pride. that is the same sentiment that must be applied to pan africanism. like one poster already implied, the continued emphasis on culture is holding us back. if i had my way i would love to restrict culture to academics alone. see, until we stop seeing ourselves as Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Ghanaian, South African etc we simply cannot completely unite because under such conditions the lens of subjectivity is inevitable. as lovely as diversity may be, there can be no true unity in the face of diversity.

the universal hatred of nigerians is something i have noticed and i've interacted with quite a few west african nationalities. Sierra leonians despise us, ghanains hate us, camerounians detest us, gambians cant stand us (running out of synonyms for hate lol), etc and with all these folk it tends to be the same argument: "nigerians feel better than everyone else, nigerians are criminals" particularly the former. now i find it strange that people see nigerians this way cuz to the best of my observation we are actually kinda humble?

in spite of all the hate tho iv had a ghanaian best friend, a sierra leonian best friend and very good gambian and camerounian friends(camerounian friend was the biggest pain of the lot lol).

and gats to say Semuhle baby yu r crazy hawt....almost as beautiful as my naija princess tongue

FamilyRe: Raising A Child To Speak English In Nigeria: Is It Proper? by biolabee(m): 3:44pm On May 06, 2013
niyimat: on point.

once upon a time in the the cradle town of ile ife, Osun state. The education stake holders decided to build a primary school with the objective of using the local language Yoruba to teach all subjects except during English language classes from classes 1-6.

Only few academias obliged to enroll their children. I was one of the first set of pupils that were enrolled, we were about 30 in class.

The result was phenomena. Yoruba language was used to perform wonders. mathematics, integrated science, social studies, physical education name them were taught with the Yoruba language. we can recite numbers 1-1000 in yoruba, read, write and understand essays in yoruba. It was so much fun, learning was easy.
many of my colleagues did excellently well in their various secondary schools. The SP in the secondary school that I attended was one of my primary school colleagues.

Even though the school still exist, am not sure if the method really last for a long time in the wake of Englishspeaking syndrome, and private schools springing up everywhere.

in a nutshell, am a proponent of using the mother tougue to start with an infant @least 60%. This will develop the child intellectually, more of the mother tougue and any other ones can follow.
This is a unique idea and please what's the name of the school
