I have used Starcomms for months now, and I am satisfied with it. I used the 6pm to 12am and 6am to 6pm plans. I used MTS last year and it was real hell. I really want to know which is better between Multilinks and Starcomms. I was of the opinion that starcomms link is better though I dont really fancy their customer service whenever I go to their offices. Any comparison between Starcomms and Multilinks? I guess if I have more dow, I'll probably go for this netcom thingy, |

Have you guys ever wondered how Alexa ranks websites? According to this link, http://alexa.com/site/help/?index=12, it is based on usage patterns of users who have installed the Alexa toolbar on their computers. Now, my question is: how many of you have the Alexa toolbar installed? The morale of the story: you would improve Alexa's ratings and probably nairaland's ranking if you go download the Alexa toolbar at http://download.alexa.com/ now |

I don't think Nkechi did anything wrong, and Seun, you have to learn to help people without getting a thank you. Hope that helps. |

I just heard from Rythm midday news that AIT television's license has been revoked because of its live transmission of the 3rd term debate at the Senate. Can anyone confirm this news too? For if it is true, i believe it is a violation of the rights of every broadcast media, of every Nigerian. And we should all rally to support AIT and react positively against this dictatorial behaviour. This is really sad, sincerely, |
and the best pix awards go to glessor and seye. thank you so much guys. will paste the pix on my walls. feel much regret not having pix of mine. i'll get the ones recorded on a camcorder by my girlfriend's sista (that's in magodo phase I gra where i stay), and hopefully, i'll get to share it here. once again, thank God, and Seun, and everyone here for a once(or more?)-in-a-lifetime experience!! |
you meean Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria 2006. Miss Nigeria is another pageant entirely, you know, |
hi guys, i am a java developer and it's good to see people talking java here. one company that's doing very well with Java is SocketWorks. And I know Globacom uses java heavily for their mobile solutions. Some colleagues of mine were employed specifically for their java skills. I specialise in Open Source Web Java. My favourite framework is Tapestry. I prefer it to JSF, Struts and WebWork. And I use Tomcat and Jetty as my webserver. I use Hibernate for Persistence. Will keep my eye on these thread. Keep the coffee hot!. |
i'm urgently looking for a programmer to work with me on a project for a few weeks. If your cousins(?) qualify, i might work with one of them. can you mail their cvs to bioyexx@yahoo.com? laters, |

can't figure. appears not to be working! |
Well, guys, guess what. I stay in magodo phase I in lagos. that's after iseri near omole phase II. And since that first day that the fumes appeared, i have had the same experience almost everyday. I wish I had a digital camera or camera phone. In the mornings around 6.30am to 7 am, the visibility is low, and every now and then, there is this pungent smell. I am always wondering what the effects of these fumes are. What I suspect is the pple behing this thing have reduced the scale and do it in the night so most people rarely notice. And I guess they ain't far from my area. You need to be in my area to know that this aint no accumulation of car exhausts.... |
I nominate Fela Anikulapo Kuti http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fela For having the courage to speak the truth during the military regimes in Nigeria. For creating a high-quality genre of music. For sheer bravery that trascends that of an average man. For promoting the Greater Good. For being a true African. Let's join in celebrate the Great Fela Anikulapo Kuti. May his soul rest in peace. Amin. |
larger_20:Abacha was not the first to loot Nigeria. I dont know if Obasanjo is looting Nigeria. Any facts? Also, note that the West (mainly USA and UK) often connive with our leaders to milk us dry. God save Nigeria. Amin. |
hot-angel:Well, are you aware of the bugs in firefox? like when you type a search in the google bar and open another tab, it still displays the search item whereas in opera, every tab will retain its google search item. also, when you have multiple tabs, and each page is opening, firefox will show the status message for the last active tab for all tabs in the status bar below. firefox just does not satisfy a power user like me.. |
In general, I dont have any problems with the rules. But since this thread exists, I might as well add my input. I agree that some nigerian aspects like pidgin, slangs, local languages should be allowed more as long as it is not derogatory. It helps to add life. There is always a first time you hear something new, and you get to learn it sooner or later. freedom of expression is beautiful |
i do not think pidgin should become our lingua franca. it is not developed enough for formal and extensive communication and it is an informal form of english. also, i dont see any need for a new language that is totally nigerian to be used as our national language. in as much as i would love nigeria to have its own language, english as a a lingua franca presents numerous advantages that we can take advantage of. there are other ways to uplift our cultures and traditions and identity and nigerians. |
I use GTBank (Guaranty). I do not like Zenith cos they dont seem professional enough for me.. You just cant compare them to GTB though they are quite profitable. STB is a no-go area for me. I always smell 'corrupt' each time I enter the bank. Reminds me of Nigerian ministries. One bank I would love to try is Bond bank (they are merging with IBTC). They seem to have a concept that could compete with GTB. Intercontinental Bank too seems to be cool. |
well, some people seem to prefer the old recent posts home page with the uniform color and all that.. Maybe you should just reformatt the homepage or something. dunno.. |
http://www.nigeria.gov.ng every nigerian needs to read through this site thoroughly before they can start criticising what the government is doing |
Hotangel is a geek. She spends way too much time on the computer! Just kidding. Howdy? |
