Roland17: Going into the off-season, I know the NBA have to be scratching their head on what to do about the 3 ball. This is not basketball na.. Everybody is just spamming the 3 ball, I can’t even separate both teams.. no one is calling timeouts because there is nothing g to draw.. Nah they wont. All they know is revenue. This type of basketball sucks for people who love the game, but it will draw more casual fans. |

The biggest loudmouth since M.L Carr. Thats how you know Jazz cant win this. When even Bevs 3s are falling, you know its over. Their defensive scheme to prevent PG3 from beating them has opened the floodgates for Mann and Reggie |

A40: The man can actually guard KD. I don't know if it's inferiority complex or something. KD is much more naturally talented but Giannis is a beast in his own right but for some reason carries himself like a lamb Interesting stat. Maybe the Jay Williams story is true after all. Durant is very aware of Giannis |

joshboo: Its so annoying how the US media analyze these games. Nets Win KD is the best player in the world, Bucks win The Nets were gassed and hyperventilated that's why they lost.
Giannis would always be giannis, if the other guys step up as they did today, Bucks Are winning definitely. 24 hour news cycle and ratings mean you need to stay loud and bombastic to keep viewers. If they arent former NBA players, their predictions are usually guess work |

Roland17: This news was inevitable.. Kemba Walker has been traded to the Thunder along with our 2021 1st round pick for Big AL, Moses Brown and a 2023 2nd rounder. I am not happy with the returns for this trade because Big AL is 35 with $53.5M left in a two year contract. Moses Brown is not better than many of the younger players on our roster. I would imagine we shopped him around and tried to get more than this but his injuries killed his value. I wish Kemba all the best, he is such a wonderful fellow and a joy in the locker room. Welcome back BiG AL.. Boston has always been home! #Greenrunsdeep lol. Everyone saw this coming. Btw there is only one Big Al, Al Jefferson. I got confused for a sec lol. I dont see Horford staying long either - he is definitely not what this team needs. Considering Brad just got promoted, I see another 5 years of higgi hagga loading for the celtics. I should add Celtics will keep being a less than preferred destination for guards. You guys trade them like pokemon cards. Las las, You will end up back at Rondo |

No bandwagon here just that easymoney had one of the greatest playoff performances of all time. Also bud is an awful coach. Barkley said He won't feed the players on the plane. I on the other hand won't feed Budenholzer for 3 days straight. The game is not over for me. I should not have watched that game, I still have ptsd over it. Haaa, baba nla choke job. what a choke job by the bucks. Coach needs to go after this. Durantula was phenomenal, but there is no excuse to lose a lead like that in a playoff game, with no Kyrie, and limited Harden. Bucks coach looked clueless
Durant made this thing personal, and Greek Freak needs to respond in kind. But I fear the Bucks lost a golden opportunity, Nets will not shoot as badly next game, Harden will be healthier. Whew! |

Roland17: Jokic has been ejected for a flagrant 2 foul. I don't think it should have amounted to a flagrant 2, a 1 at most..
This league is SOFT as hell!!!! Its the wind-up. That was intentional and dangerous - it wasnt just a swipe at the ball. Devin Booker needs to chill tho - the guy is feeling like special sauce these days |

nairamaniac: Thanx for the explanation, learnt alot here that I never knew before. Personally, I see nothing wrong in durant or curry going all 40 and 50 when they do.
If it's easy, let everyone else do it.
I support the game as a no-contact-sport.
Defense should be played from the legs not not with the hands&body.
Have a very good shuffle of feet.
It all comes from the feet.
Anticipate screens on ur left&right at an given time.
Gary payton and pippen would have never have had so much problems guarding curry or durant at the perimeter and also From-the-Perimeter-To-The-Rim.
Another thing is don't allow them get long bouncing rhythms without trying to steal or faking-a-steal. You remember that bull dog from cleveland in that finals. The australian. Someone remind me his name again.
The dude faked more steals than he actually intended to steal. And it worked alot against curry.
A particular coach back then told me never allow you direct opponent bounce the ball 3times without either attempting-a-steal or faking-to-attempt-a-steal.
It knocks them out of rhythm.
but on the other hand, there is clearly no solution to their good shooting.
Best way to stop such good shooters is placing a mismatch on them as there primary-defender.
Then the real-direct-defender becomes the secondary defender.
It's harder to beat a direct-match when he is a helped that just pops in from no-where.
Do u grab?
It becomes TEAM-DEFENCE.
Personally, I fear curry and durant's handle to their good-shooting.
People say curry is just a shooter. That's the biggest deciept curry has on us all.
He is one of the deadliest handlers and penetrator the league has ever seen.
He is not a spot-up shooter like klay or reggie miller.
Most times he takes off, he dribbles to the exact spot he wants to shoot from, same with durant. Im an amateur o, just saying what I see. We got some rules experts out here tho , if they decide to chime in. Are you talking about Dellavedova? Lol, that guy cant stop Curry! Curry is the gold standard for shooting. Pls dont mention Reggie Miller in the same sentence |

Roland17: Two teams, the Sixers and Clippers needed to be aggressive in the pursuit of a scoring PG heading into the post season, both teams failed and are paying dearly for it. One of both teams should have landed Lowry, both failed.
What exactly is Ben Simmons impact/ contribution to winning a basketball game? Can the Sixers win a Championship with Simmons? They have players in Thybulle and Milton who can do a decent job on the defensive end and still offer something on the offensive end. Big and physical PG with good handles and bball IQ. He is very relevant on defense. Even in offense, you have to account for him as he is a deadly facilitator. They already have Curry and Harris who can get hot on their own. I disagree with a lot of the pros who say he should be replaced with a shooting PG. There are many things Simmons does that is not on the stats sheet |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 2:07am On Jun 12, 2021 |
nairamaniac: I agree with you. I personally don't see it as defence being frowned upon.
I have always known the game to be a NON CONTACT SPORT. I remember when I played back then on my own small levels, referees at times usually penelise us for REACHING.
I would here screams like REACHING! REACHING.
When I argue, they say "give arm's length".
Only God knows what that means? Cos when a bigger player turns back and works his way to the basket against me, I'm allowed to use my body(front) against his back.
I'm not a ref, but pls someone explain this to me. In amateur leagues, contact is definitely frowned upon. Less contact, less injury, less intimidation. For pro leagues where money is involved, you gon get touched. At that point its a grown man game. If you are small like Iverson, you need to accept there will be Shaqs in the league, you are playing for money so some ruckus is expected. Obviously what is called foul in an euro league may be nothing in the nba, so league you are in matters too. To me, given the athleticism and strength in the NBA, you should allow enough physicality to make it hard for a freak like Durant or Curry to just load up and be dropping 40pts. The league already allows guards to D up on centers aggressively. Lets just be fair and allow aggressive D on those guys we know can shoot from the logo |
