Well, it's much more complex than that. Sometimes, after taking some time off, you may believe you've sorted out some of the issues, until one little thing & you're back to square one. It's like a domino effect. I don't care how strong & positive someone is, but it sure does take a long time to reverse some of the psychological damage, hence some people spend YEARS in therapy. There's no magic bean to make it all go away overnight. It takes only one jerk-ass to make it all come back with vengeance

I concur with one thing you said though, the girl must admit she has issues or nothing will change.

LMAO. That's the thing with most people, we want everything ready-made & not put in any hard work. How about you help her heal by showing her you're not out to get her like her ex or whomever is the cause of her pain & distrust. Sometimes we also need reassurance & someone who'll comfort our fears that not all men are this or that. I know it requires patience but a lot can go a long way with the right amount of effort from the guy's side. Expecting it to miraculously happen is kind of a reach imo.

LOL, you just have to take my word for it. In all honesty though, I can relate so much to the OP. I'm not aware (or don't care) when I'm doing it because the suspicions are just too strong & feel so real to me. Only afterwards (when I'm thinking more logically) do I realize what a mess I've made by going on a rampage without any tangible facts of the things I've accused people of. It's not easy though to not wanna lash out when you THINK or FEEL you're being made a fool of. I know it sounds insane, but it is what it is.
