@hajj M, please don't be upset with your humble servant sir, I have been under intense pressure to deliver the Surulere project. I will most definitely take time out to check the decking work ASAP, e mabinu sir. |
Work on the parapet wall coping formwork is also ongoing, we should be able to cast the coping by Thursday.
@adeekiti, you did not provide a link to view your work sir? |
Blockwork on the parapet wall roof gable almost done, just one more wall to build. I don't like high places but this work has made me overcome my fear of heights. Its a very lovely view from up here and the breeze is something else.
Thank you, thank you, you are far too kind with your words @dayomide70. |
Hello all, I need a landscaping expert to assist with the landscaping of the event center. If you are well skilled and available to take a trip down to Ogbomosho with me soon, please holla at me. It will be worth your time and paycheck. |
Blockwork on the parapet wall ongoing.
@erico2k2, sorry I don't understand your question but I will post the picture of the under slab where we used the marine board once I get a clear shot but its smooth enough that we are going to do POP screeding straigth on it. |
Casting of the foundation columns have been completed and we are working towards backfilling and laying of the DPM.
Formwork for the foundation columns were worked on yesterday and casting of the columns took place today. Backfilling and laying of the DPM is next in line.
Plastering of the interior space is in full swing and will be done within a week before moving to the exterior plastering.
So sorry for the slow updates, its been rather hectic sourcing for finishing materials and managing the site and artisans. Work has been completed on the roof slab and roof beam and the blockwork for the parapet wall will begin tomorrow.
Foundation footing almost done, not more than 50 blocks needed to wrap it up. Back-filling will be starting after the holidays.
Work on the roof slab and roof beam has also started, the carpentary formwork has been completed for the roof slab and work is ongoing on the roof beam formwork.
Fixing of the distribution board and pulling of electrical wire started today, much progress was made.
@waltereb, kindly send let me have your email. I might have something for you to quote for in the Surulere-I project as per plumbing fittings and doors. |
Block setting for the foundation still in progress, hopefully we should be done by Tuesday and start on back-filling. We have achieved 5nos coaches for the rear of the building and because of the sloping gradient ,we will achieve 6nos coaches for the front to have an even surface for the german floor.
Columns and lintel casting completed. Fixing of the aluminium window sub-frame still ongoing. Plastering of the internal wall will likely start by Wednesday.
The Pool house building comprising of the 1. Changing room for male 2. Changing room for female
Windows sub-frame is also being fixed so that we can start with the interior plastering ASAP. @tinotino, will add you soon and buzz you.
Casting of the second floor columns and lintels in progress, we should be done by Friday.
@erico2k2, we used marine boards on the 2nd floor slab also. Its only on the first floor we used normal wood because the under part will be covered with POP ceiling so we don't need to render it while the smooth finish of the second floor slab will be screeded with POP and cornices. Little cost savings here and there and we will be using the marine boards for our next project. See the attached pictures for confirmation. @tinotino, will check the link. Kindly leave your whatsapp details if you use the app.
Block setting of the foundation currently ongoing. Because of the sloping gradient of the ground, we are going to set 5 coaches of the high side and 6 coaches on the low side to even out the level and get a flat surface on which we will cast the german floor.
Administration building work so far, the building has these spatial arrangements 1. Admin office 2. Changing room for guest 3. Toilet facilities for guest 4. Storage space for equipments/hall facilities
@dayomide, the project is moving on fine, you will be surprised at the project progress. I was at Ogbomosho yesterday on site supervision for the month and the project is taking shape.
dayomide70:Like I said on my thread " a trial will convince you" |
@dayomide70, thanks for the encouraging words. We are now done with the blockwork up to lintel level and the carpentary formwork for the columns and lintel has started and is almost done. We will start casting the columns and lintels on Tuesday once all preparation for granite and sharp sand delivery is sorted out.
Casting of the concrete foundation footing took place yesterday 4th of July 2015. The columns mat and columns were also casted. Total number of columns mat casted was 30nos. We used 3 bricklayers and 8 labours. The mix ratio for the concrete was 1:2:4 and it was manually mixed. A total of 30 bags of cement (Dangote cement) was used, and we didn't even make a dent in the 20 tons of granite supplied by @dayomide70 (a trust worthy supplier, I was shocked by the quantity I saw compared to the rip-offs am used to, a trial will convince you).
Setting out of the foundation floor mat and reinforcement columns starters for the foundation ongoing. Delivery of 20 ton granite currently ongoing by @dayomide70.
Excavation of foundation footing completed and the space for the columns mat has been created also, work starts on the columns reinforcement today with the tieing of the floor mat and starter bars. Sharp sand, granite and cement will be delivered today, hopefully by Gods grace, the foundation footing (blinding) will commence tomorrow.
Progress of work so far as at Monday 29th of June 2015, we are now almost at lintel level for all the unit and will be starting the columns and lintel formwork soon. The rains hasn't been making work easy but we thank God all the same, the bricklayers are working a bit slow due to the weather and the supplier delivering blocks is not meeting up to delivery deadlines.
