The same thing you supported to find the government that gives you liberation is the same thing that's killing those whom they want to liberate......I don't really see the thinking around such anyways.

A lot of persons get angry for they have not heard PO speak against any of these atrocious atrocities other than when he said they are his brothers and lives among them for he doesn't know such happens.

Even the five State governors have deliberate refused to come together to tackle this regional menace but they are using it all for their gains a d blaming the FG.
Another administration will come and they will continue the blame throwing and torchlight.

I don't know about other States but in Bayelsa State, someone is saying six hours of light been enjoyed by him in his area........


Is that six hours daily or weekly or monthly, because the Bayelsa State I know, within the Yenagoa LGA, that is mischievous.

There are places in the Azikoro village referred to as town, they have not seen light in a year. PHED brings light for two days bring bills the third day and the day after they start going about to cut light. They do that for three days bringing light for one hour and coming out to cut residents who have not paid and the moment payment is made, the light situation goes off till the next month and this is repeatedly done every month all over the State.

Today is the Rivers State LGA elections.

Please kindly inform us what's happening in your LGA, your Ward and polling unit.

The bitter truth is that it's the PDP who is the tenant and not the other way around.

The real landlords of the PDP are those who are the fund raisers and managers of the PDP, who are committed to it.

Rivers State monies will no longer be used in funding the affairs of the national PDP till commitments from other States governors and co, are seen financially and otherwise who also want to be seen to call the shots.

This is the distorted mental of an average politician. So providing Portable water is now dividends of democracy? Do Wike not make us of same domestically?

So what is unique about this? Our forefathers didn't had portable water but they made use of the rivers and lakes, yet they even outlived our generation. So why bragging about with rubbish.

Even if Wike makes use of it domestically, it's also good that as a Minister he is also ensuring that the people get to see and use portable water in those areas.

Yes, we shouldn't be celebrating provision of such in this era but there are places even in your LGA and probably your community where portable water has not be seen or used for the past 16 years by a majority, so it's good to thank the government of the day even if you dislike them and urge them to do more and not settle for such things like that's where development starts and ends.

The Edo State governor is just acting comedy. If I were PBAT without fear or favour and out of respect inform the Oba of Benin to counsel the State governor. I'll withhold the LGA funds from henceforth and institute a court proceedings against the State governor and government .

The State governor refused to recognize the State Assembly headed by Speaker Ahmaewule.

The State governor was only working with four members he recognized who were actually on suspension and that suspension lifted up by one of them who later became CoS, abandoning them to their fate!!!!!...
These ones were approving State budgets and screening political appointees for the State governor!!!!

So even after the Supreme court judgment the State governor was still acting out his script and you expect what to happen?


That the Speaker Ahmaewule group should just wait till the first tenure is over and the State governor should smile and say he has won or what are you implying?

Which court are you referring to?
The one that has pronounced judgement that the State governor did not accept and recognize or the one the governor was waiting for CTC of the judgment through his lawyers or counsels?

Of what relevance is that? Every country bases its budget on projected revenue, whatever that source of revenue may be. In America, taxes are a major source of revenue, do you pay the same taxes as in America?

Please note, oil has not been a major source of revenue for Nigeria for a long time now. Oil is only relevant to Nigeria because it is our major source of foreign exchange. Infact it has been surpassed by diaspora remittances, though that is likely to revert due to increased production.

Oil is only about 15% of our economy believe it or not.

With your response I think you need to go and check the many faults in your previous post.

No one can solve any problem through the wrong patterns. The economics of solving problems in Nigeria is very very faulty and many so called economist are missing it whenever it has to do with Nigeria as a country and it gets worse when even people fromthe private sector are made to run and head over the Nigerian systems.

We live in a global world, the price of most products is the same all over the world, ex shipping and taxes.. If the international price of crude is say $70 a barrel. The market does not care if it costs you $10 to produce a barrel like in Saudi or $30-40 in Nigeria due to insecurity, corruption, theft, inefficiencies etc. Both will get $70 for their crude, Saudi will pocket $60, Nigeria will collect $30-40 and then share that with its JV partners because it did not invest in its production capabilities. So for every barrel of crude Saudi pockets $60 while Nigeria is lucky to get $15-20.

You have a 1000ha field of rice or corn, A South African, American uses 1 machine and one trained skilled operator to plant, and harvest. The Nigerian uses 300 workers on the same acreage. The price of the corn or soya is the same on the international market. The wages of 1 American worker and 1 machine is shared amongst 300 Nigerian workers. That’s why the American worker is paid well and the Nigerian worker isn’t. Why is the Nigerian worker willing to work for such low wages? Because he hasn’t got the skills or the work ethic of the American worker.

Like I said if it takes 5 people to do the work of one person, those 5 people will share the wages of 1 person. The reason why the 5 workers agree to be paid such is because they are poorly educated, lack skills, have poor work ethic etc. otherwise they would quit and get a better paying job.

The reason why an able bodied man agrees to be paid peanuts to sit down all day tearing receipts in a supermarket is because he hasn’t got the education, skills, work ethic or innovation to get a better job. The reason why a supermarket employs him for such a mundane task is because that is his economic value. If he demands more he will be sacked because the employer will realise it is more economical to implement a technology based solution. Another good example are road sweepers. It is more efficient to deploy mechanical road sweepers but we employ humans because they are cheap, again they are cheap because they are unskilled. If they demand more, the local govt will sack them and employ machines.

Are you seeing the pattern? You have no education, no skills, no work ethic, no innovation and you compare your standard of life to countries that are the opposite of you?

That’s the harsh reality.

A few years ago, I went to the furniture shop at mega plaza and ordered some furniture. He gave me a date for production and delivery and I asked the Lebanese if they could hurry it up and get is ready earlier. He said left to him he would, his words were “but you know your people have to go to church”. That sums up the Nigerian worker.

For example, An average South African worker has an annual output 8 times that of a Nigerian worker. Yet the Nigerian wants to be at par with him. You spend all your time in church. Night vigil etc.

Nigeria is the only country I know where it takes 4/5/6 people to do the job of 1 person. Nigeria is the only country I have been to where you employ someone all day to sit down and tear receipts at supermarket exits. When 6 people are doing the work of 1 person, those six people will share the wages of 1 person.

All international passports are standardized, the machines that print them are all the same from the same companies like Delarue. The cost of production is almost the same. Delarue is not going to give Nigeria a discount on its printing machines or security papers used for passports because it takes 4 Nigerian workers to do the job it takes only 1 person elsewhere.

The standard of living Nigerians moan about is a reflection of the poor level of productivity of a Nigerian worker. It takes 4-6 workers to perform the task of 1 worker elsewhere. Poor education, poor skills, poor work ethic, poor culture, low productivity. If you produce a product in Nigeria using 5 workers instead of 1 elsewhere, you can’t charge 5x the price because you have 5 workers or your products won’t sell. You are competing with countries who produce the same product with 1 worker….so the 5 workers will share the salary meant for 1 person elsewhere. That is why your standard of living is low!

Your analysis is from the standpoint that Nigerians need to be slaving like the way we are made to when working in some Indian/Chinese/Korean/Lebanese companies daily from Sunday to Sunday and from 9 to 6 and at the end of ones life's span, there's absolutely nothing to look back on because even the pay package is to ensure one remains a slave.


Every country has its way of operation and it works for them. The only issue we are having with ours is that the government and system has made it look like the people has refused to be unproductive.

His stand of view is this and that's the operational pattern that has been subtly playing in all the sectors gradually....

Nigerians are willling to pay above the required goverment price and much more through middle men to get their passort done within the most short time. So why don't he the minister close those middle men stages, loopholes, unnecessary delays and fiticious beaucracry and charge it lump sum on average and take it at a central collection point and a win for government.
