phantom:Watch and see. Did you see or hear of those military men that put on padlock on their lips/mouths during that Rivers State cult clash during the time of Gov. Amaechi... Much more will be stationed in Rivers State if they resort to burning the pipelines. Moreso know that even Asari will not join and will use his boys to protect his territory. Make them no use the name of ijaw deceive you. Every man for him belle. You have forgotten that na Ijaw people collect surveillance contract!!!! You can't burn what your kinsman is being paid to protect. Ypu can't use your political fight to destroy another man's source of income. |
377:Start afresh from where and from what? You must be one of those lawyers who waste time in front of a judge. Some lawyers will soon meet embarrassing situations. |
sirpharrell:They have no idea what is coming. Imagine a governor withdrawing his counter from the High Court and afterwards he goes to Appeal Court to seek redress: based on what I keep wondering who are his advicers. The court is not interested in sentiments and emotions oOoOO on this matter. They will be surprised when the Nigeria Police aided by the Nigerian Army will be used to ensure that he and those who are going against judgement abide by it. |
Slimm01:Stop deceiving yourself with all this ijaw this and militancy. PBAT is not a child. If Gov. Fubara thinks it will be that they will disrupt oil production, just pray that does not happen. Then you'll know who will cry. |
InfoGuru118:A lot of people don't read before they comment. How would Gov. Fubara withdraw from the High Court and after the judgment is not in his favour, he is going to the Appeal Court!!! Please what is he going to appeal ? I wonder the kind of people advising him? People will come and say Wike has bought the judiciary. |
Man102:Amaechi is certainly not being honest here. You were Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly for 8 years and all is known about. If you were even honest then you would have not have had a quarrel with Magnus Abe |
SmartPolician:Does he not have children or people from his family? Let him recruit them. |
Remember Wike said, he may not win the fight but..... Gov. Fubara has said he has knelt down and begged Wike numerous times and Wike said otherwise. I keep finding this in-fighting on the part of Fubara because Wike keep saying all there is but Fubara has refused to say what is his quarrel with Wike other than what we hear from other people. I have not seen this kind of governor who hides behind other people and not say what is the real issue but will use the media to say words of sarcasm. |
Kosiso12:It's a good thing coming from a former CBN and the governor of Anambra State. Now let's see how those who claim they are a marginalized tribe would react to this since they have been looking for liberalization? Let's see if they would go to court as the governor has spoken... Let's see if they have the guts to go to court. |
AcuraZDX:It's only those who don't use their heads to think will fall for any thing looking meaningful to be taken serious with thought. I guess this is a counter to that which Reno wrote. Of what use is regional government now and why would anyone be talking about who is to be blamed? Imagine a State like Kwara that was part of the Northern region. Then 1967 it became West Central State and then 1976 it was renamed Kwara State then 1990 it was further split into Kogi and Niger States. Imagine how these individual States still remain undeveloped even though they enjoy autonomy, how much more of they remain the old way of Regionals. Let's also see the Old Eastern Region comprising of Old Rivers State out of which Bayelsa State was cut out and the 5 Igbo speaking States. Imagine the level of underdevelopment that some of these States are as single units ,how much more if they remain the old ways. All those who are speaking about the return of the Regional government don't really have any good intention. They are just like those who think going back to the old national anthem will change anything in the nation. |
SmartPolician:Since the creation of Bayelsa State everyone who was made Minister of Petroleum from that State has made and left the Nigerian Refineries worse than they met it. This particular minister is the worse of them all anyways. Nothing he achieved as minister of agriculture during PGEJ and now same nothing. They just give them portfolios but they have nothing worth calling achievement arising from such. |
joebeckz:Do you know the relationship between Peter Odili, Rotimi Amaechi and Nyesom Wike? Do you not know that Peter Odili could not become a godfather to Rotimi Amaechi likewise Rotimi Amaechi could not become godfather to Nyesom Wike because there are certain issues that brought the later two to become governors and through which she stood and the issue of godfatherism could not even be mentioned. Also the relationship between Gov. Rotimi Amaechi and Wike before he was made CoS cannot be likened to a godfather and godson relationship. But the process that led to Sim Fubara becoming governor is the only process that anyone could say that would be the beginning of godfatherism in installing a governor but it went bad as a result of things still unclear to the populace. Those who came to become political weights through the recommendation of certain persons knows these persons and I believe have given them the honor due them. Let the true narrative be spoken. PBAT is not a novice in the game and he does and will not align with anyone who does not honor agreements. I do not know what is Tonye Cole's true intentions in this comments and saying if PBAT wants peace in Rivers State. Tomorrow the people in Kano who are dethroning and enthroning Emir's will do same thing as if it was PBAT that caused the fights and in fighting. |
helinues:I'm very sure you did not think through your comment. So let's say you're right in your logic. Then PBAT who is the President and weilds power is the Leader of the APC. The APC not just at the national level but in all the States of the Federation where APC is the ruling party. Certainly PBAT is the more powerful as it stands now in the country? |
helinues:I don't know what you mean by more powerful... |
Ulogwe1:Funny statement.... Please who bombed the Rivers State HA building? Who is responsible for the burning and destruction of the LGC buildings? Please where are the evidence? |
helinues:There's no logic in it. The State affairs is being run by the governor and that is his duty as a governor. The Party Chairman is the Leader of the party and same run the affairs of the party. It's high time we do the right thing. All this abnormalities is because we give respect and loyalty to money rather than institutions. |
helinues:What is the essence of having a Party Chairman who by right and duties such is the Leader of the party? Is it written in the party constitution that the incumbent governor is the leader of the party or where do we even copy all these abnormalities from? |
RemiClitHoris:You are mistaken. Wike will exceed all former governors of the State before him politically and otherwise. |
Anither563:They should be allowed to work without restrictions. He is the council boss. What is a name being removed from a building and renamed going to change or add to the individual who owns the name be it living or dead? May the council boss also be mindful of how he goes a oit his work, you never know who will takeover from him and probably that person may likely demolish his property if it contravenes the law of the LGA. |
ugodson:That is not how it ought to be. If the govenror refuses to marry, then the office of the first lady should be coordinated by the wife of the deputy governor. If you are agreeing that the daughter should take over because she can see her father the govenror at any point in time then you should also agree that whenever a govenror is out of the State, country or even when illness or disease cannot allow the governor to carry out his duties then the wife and children should be allowed to carry out the duties of the govenror pending when he becomes better and strengthened to carry them out. |
JASONjnr:Do you mean the same Nigerians missing him are those who are going to plead with him to come become an presidential aspirant in 2027? A president who preferred that his community and State remains undeveloped because he does not want to say the truth that those entrusted with government monies go to prison. |
ugodson:We will respect his decision because we don't like to do the right thing. What will she be discussung with her father by 2am when she would be in her husbands house and in bed with him? Or do you not think that one day the husband will accuse her of sleeping with her father when she starts insulting him and when he has also collected his own portion of the family political monies? |
ugodson:So the deputy governor's wife will be taking directive from the coordinator of the office of the first lady since the governor thinks he can confude himself with English? Please between the coordinator and the deputy governor's wife who will say Ma? Nobody will argue with him except grumble if he says his daughter is the first lady after the demise of the mother. |
kcprince:When Patience Jonathan the first lady and Minister Wike was fighting Amaechi when he was Governor, you did not know that democracy has sank. When Gov. Wike as fighting Minister Amaechi, democracy did but sank Now that Fubara and Wike are fighting and you keep mentioning PBAT name in everything bad happening in Rivers State, democracy has sank. Continue. The fight is far from finish. It has only began. |
Giftimoni:The title of the post or video is very misleading. You brought someone into politics does not really translate to you helping the person. Reading comments of persons above it clearly shows many did not watch the video. I will speak more on the second video where the order of the court was read by Chief O.C.J .Okocha and it's very clear from that order that the FHC judge called the LG election to be conducted by RSIEC an illegal election and told the defendants not to participate. If this is one of the order among many orders then it clearly shows Gov. Fubara once again is being mislead by his advicers or should I say that he has given himself to be selective on which court order suits his interest. May we not be deceived by people who speak half truths making it look like they mean well for all of us. |
PaellaPaella:Before you quote someone read and comprehend. |
BluntCrazeMan:Any aggrieved individual should take their case to court. INEC said it has not given RSEIC the updated voters register and the RSEIC commissioner has said he has been given. Well all parties will present what they have and used as evidence in the court. It's an interesting episode. |
wealthyprince:The court is not the problem. The problem is with the individial who goes to court. |
BeeBeeOoh:Even the Rivers State Governor ought to have sought the court to interpret its own order in this instance... On a ordinary telling the NPF to not provide security or be involved in such an election given the political fights between a predecessor and successor ordinarily means there should be no election and the governor cannot sought out to use private security outfits in place of constituted ones. Well, let's see what the day will be like and please let's all be careful and mindful as we go about the day's activities. |
Morbeta11:I think the NBA man is speaking and directing his speech wrongly.... The NBA should question the judgment of the judge who that order which stands against the mandatory and compulsory duty of the NPF rather than questioning the position of the NPF in wanting to carry out that order. While the NBA is concerned about this political issues in Rivers State at this point in time, I can't remember the NBA at any point in time questioning the order of the NPF ordering hospitals and Nigerian Doctors in the country not to treat individuals with gunshot wounds and the Nigerian Doctors have not complained about same which goes against their sacred oaths of professionalism to save life first. We have not even talked of the one that hospitals demand money from people before treatment even emergency situations.... This country is a big circuit of comedians. |
MEEVEET:The jurisdiction is the POWER. |
MEEVEET:The two courts though High Court are not of the same order of equal power. The State High Court is State powers.... The Federal High Court supercedes all. There is also the FCT High Court which is quiet different from the Federal High Court of Nigeria. Also the last or later order is the order that the individual involved should adhere to and not the former as long as both orders are arising from the same case. Gov. Fubara is only adhering to the order from the SHC from the view that the case at hand is a State issue. I look forward to the administration of the new CJN and how she intends to bring sanity to the judiciary. |
