On the issue of certificate. Schools doesn't issue certificate twice. If the one they issue to you is lost or misplaced, the worse that can happen is to ask for statement of result and in the event you cannot go for the statement, you source for affidavit to use in lieu of the above.
Someone like me, I lost my primary school certificate, at the point of documentation of the job I am doing now, they requested for it and I told them I have lost it to inferno when our house built. They were the one that advised me to go for affidavit at the high court, which I am using till date.

Besides, I ask you a critical question but you didn't answer that. I will ask again.
Does one go to court to source for affidavit, for the sake of just doing it? If to the negative, then, every dick and harry will be going to court to ask for affidavit with no purpose for it.

It is good you raised the issue of your school certificate getting burnt in fire.
Let's start from there.

An original first school leaving certificate or any other is a true testament of someone's result. Now in the absence of especially the reason you highlighted. You are supposed to go to the primary school board and request for a statement of result (certified copy) and afterwards you'll take it and go to the court and get an affidavit stating your intention and purpose. That affidavit stands as a supporting document to the statement of result(certificate copy) in place of original certificate.

I hope you understand.

So whatever meaning people give to it is all left to them.

Anyways let's wait what the court judge will say if that is before them.

It will be easy for many of us to go get affidavit making claims to properties that don't belong to us just because we have access to them.

It just came rolling in when Gov. Fubara said something in a public function where Senate President Akpabio was and Akpabio responded by saying what got many of us laughing.

Gov. Fubara seems to have forgotten that it was because of him that Gov. Wike used allegations and police to arrest a serving Senator of the Federal House and that Senator was in cell abi na prison for some time before he was left free by the court. It's this same court that Gov. Fubara is preaching to that was used to arrest that Senator and it's the same Rivers State High Court judge who issue that.

I think you are being misled by what the LGA allowed ignorantly to be practiced by the Governors and making the LG depend on the SG.
You need to take time and study all the federal constitution, the State Constitution and the Local Government constitution and see where they have been getting it wrong.
Just because it was never written in the constitution that the LG is autonomous does not make it one. Then of what purpose is it written that it's a third tier government. Or was it also writrn in the constitution that the State government is autonomous.

The truth of the matter is that if you want local government autonomy of whatever you call it,you have to change the constitution completely. Even the constitution says the LG is under the control of the state government.

Worldwide there is nowhere there is 3 federating units. It is always two. The Federal and state.

In a true federalism like it's practised in the US. The LG is under the control of the states. The US has over 80,000LG and states create LG as they wish.

Here in Nigeria,coupled with the fact that the money being given to the LG are not even enough to pay salaries and that is why the states created joint LG accounts to offset the bills of LG since 1999.

All states have been offsetting the bills of LG because even the money they collect isn't up to anything

I am very sure you have not read the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to understand what is written there but you know what is written and practiced in the USA.


Our Nigerian constitution says the Nation has 3 tiers of government.....The FG, SG and LG.
The constitution also says we have 3 arms of government....The Executive, Legislative and Judiciary.

We should work with how it's been written to suit our environment.

Let me ask you a question. Do anyone go to court to swear affidavit for the sake of just doing it for fun? I thought you go to court to swear on affidavit for a purpose to serve as cover in the event the original wasn't available.

An affidavict can't stand on its own.
Let me use the issue of those who has misplaced their birth certificates or original school certificates and opt for something like Statement of Result to use in place.

When you do the Age Declaration and stating it's contents in place of the Birth Certificate, then it's proper that you get an affidavit affirming it's intention and purpose.

Likewise if you misplace your original school certificate and you want to use Statement of Result in place, it's proper you get an affidavit affirming your intention and purpose.

I know over the years we have been doing some of these things abnormally.

But you see this particular issue that involves politics, will guide us when the judge assigned gives it verdict if at all there's any case to be spoken of any the Supreme Court.

Which of the Supreme Court are you referring to because I don't know any case against them that is in the Supreme Court because there's was never an appeal that was against them except you're referring to the High Court in Rivers State and they don't have any case in Appeal Court in Rivers State.
All their cases as it concerns them and Rivers State Government and Governor is in the Federal High Court, and Appeal Court just summurised theirs

Edison Ogerenye Ehie, Hon. Victor Oko Jombo, Hon. Adolphus Timothy Oruibienimigha and Hon. Sokari Goodboy Sokari, representing Ahoada East II, Bonny, Opobo/Nkoro and Ahoada West Constituency respectively.

The decision of the State Assembly followed the continued refusal or failure of the four to attend and participate in Legislative meetings of the House, without cogent permission for a period amounting in aggregate, to more than one-third of the total number of days the House met in the First Session of the Tenth Assembly and for also being absent in the past fifty -six legislative sittings of the Second Session.

The motion for their expulsion from the Assembly was moved by the House Leader, Hon. Major Jack and co-sponsored by 25 other Members.

The House voted in the affirmative that the seats of the 4 Members be declared vacant, and the Independent National Electoral Commission be notified to conduct by-elections to fill the vacancies.

The government refineries no longer have a time line of completion after various persons coming to give us several dates to wards that. Is it the First lady who said Nigerians are lazy......I can't imagine how many of us were lazy when the so called progressives matched and protested against the PGEJ administration and keeping the progressives in hardship.
I guess this is the real hardship which the progresisve now in power say we have to endure of which they refused to endure and have refused others to protest against.
Nigeria have been turned into a place where people go to market to buy slices of yam rather than tubers of yam, I see recently cut heads of ice fish being packaged and sold in the market for families and households to buy and feed their children and much more and these are things that are alien to us and some demonic supporters will come and tell themselves that it's not as a result of the incumbent administration.

Let the government stop all using different platforms to come and say things that they dnt intend to do within the shortest possible time.
Any reasonable government should within it's first 2 years in office tackle the issue of the tremendous unemployment in the country. There are three types of unemployment and in levels.
The first is the unemployment of not having anything doing.
The other is the unemployment of being employed but not gainfully employed.
The last employment is the employment of not being paid a living wage.

1. Apply for stay of execution of Appeal Court Judgement

2 Appeal the judgement at the Supreme court

That's is law..that is legal.

Every other thing written in the communiqué na mere political statements.

The question will be, what happens if the stay of execution is not granted

What happens, if he finally lose at the Supreme Court

Which is better...representing the budget as directed by the Court of Appeal, while challenging the decision at the Supreme Court.,.if he wins..fine ..if he lose...fine...he will not have huge problems with the House of Assembly should he lose.

..but, if he doesn't represent the budget and he lose at the Supreme Court....will that not be a solid legal ground for impeachment

Anyways it's the responsibility of the legislative to speak against it.
The minimum wage the FG proposed has not even hit the account of civil servants but they have increased price of PMS multiple times. A government who threatened NLC that they should agree to #70k minimum or otherwise see an increase in price of fuel. Not only have the price of fuel increase but every good and commodity has increased.
Even with the completion of an indigenous refinery is still selling PMS like it's an imported product.
I wonder how long will Nigerians remain undivided and disunited before these hooliganism practiced by politicians is put away.
