richmond500:You are completely mistaken in your assertion. Back then what we call battery torch light was actually called electric torch by the Europeans. Electric torch is a torch powered by batteriee and not the way you are saying it. |
happney65:I am very sure you have not read the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to understand what is written there but you know what is written and practiced in the USA. Our Nigerian constitution says the Nation has 3 tiers of government.....The FG, SG and LG. The constitution also says we have 3 arms of government....The Executive, Legislative and Judiciary. We should work with how it's been written to suit our environment. If you keep blarbing about why are we not copying the USA pattern for true federalism then you should also ask yourself why are our roads not American Standard road designs? |
Villagesquare:Why are you using the LG in the Niger Delta region to elaborate? Will your point not be driven if you use LG in Anambra State to drive your points? It's not if the FG wants true fiscal federalism but it's the SG that should make a case in court rather Soludo trying to play smart with LG funds. |
Villagesquare:They know except they have forgotten. The criminal minded professor governor only wants to short change the LG chairmen by playing smart. The problem with Nigerians is that very few read and understand and make good use of it by their sense of reasoning, judgment and inputs. Before now, that SG/LG Joint Account was actually an account to receive the FG allocations for the LGC and the SG put in their own purported share or percentage. Now Gov. Soludo is trying to be smart by authorizing the LG to remit such funds as stipulated by the SG. The question now becomes where is the portion that the SG is supposed to remit to the LG as support assistance? What the purpose of the remittance of the LG funds into a LG/SG joint account as said by the governor? I just look forward to see if the LG will challenge this Anambra State law in court. It's now we will know who knows their onions and who is an intellectual. |
IfnobeGod20:An affidavict can't stand on its own. Let me use the issue of those who has misplaced their birth certificates or original school certificates and opt for something like Statement of Result to use in place. When you do the Age Declaration and stating it's contents in place of the Birth Certificate, then it's proper that you get an affidavit affirming it's intention and purpose. Likewise if you misplace your original school certificate and you want to use Statement of Result in place, it's proper you get an affidavit affirming your intention and purpose. I know over the years we have been doing some of these things abnormally. But you see this particular issue that involves politics, will guide us when the judge assigned gives it verdict if at all there's any case to be spoken of any the Supreme Court. |
Catalysttt:This is good oOoOO in your area for 5,000. That amount can at most get probably 5 tubers of this size otherwise it's only about 3 in Bayelsa State. |
Chomsky1967:Yeah. Something happened to national grid source somewhere in one of the communities in Rivers State so they have to fix it. |
IfnobeGod20:And you think defection is legal by swearing of affidavit. Na so one NLander come drop definition of affidavit but as the definition is complete the NLanders acceptance of it is incomplete and impartial. An affidavit can't stand on its own and can't be used that way in any Court even if it's a kangaroo court. |
IfnobeGod20:Which of the Supreme Court are you referring to because I don't know any case against them that is in the Supreme Court because there's was never an appeal that was against them except you're referring to the High Court in Rivers State and they don't have any case in Appeal Court in Rivers State. All their cases as it concerns them and Rivers State Government and Governor is in the Federal High Court, and Appeal Court just summurised theirs |
Eteka1:Even Gov. SIM understands it. I guess let's all wait till the Supreme Court gives it judgment then we will know what will happen afterwards. The enforcers of that judgment will step in and do their own. |
vanbonattel:I'm very sure Gov. SIM has gone to the Supreme Court. Do not be surprised when the Supreme court gives he judgmentots expected that it's obeyed as soon as possible otherwise the enforcers of the law will step in and whatever happens afterwards let no person say more. |
KingEarnest:There is no light in the entire Yenagoa area and some might even say the whole Bayelsa State fir more than 30 days and counting...... |
Kukutenla:When I first read and saw 6000 litres capacity I was wondering if there's any truck that carries that amount from tank farms or loading stations in Nigeria.... Well, we are not to be surprised at all these people have been well fed and now over fedso they can afford to say no sense of things and their senile followers will try to make more and better no sense of their explanations. |
NwaNimo1:Barawo reforms... This are the kind of advices the World Bank, IMF, African Development Bank dishes out to Nigeria and the leadership and those who support them hinge on it and continue their fairy telling and fables. This admnisration is so much insincere that they just joke and make jest of it all. The President who promised NLC that fuel price will not increase if they agree to hold unto #70,000 as minimum wage and yet it has not even being fully implemented and fuel price has risen more than 3 times till from the pronouncement of that minimum wage amount. The government refineries no longer have a time line of completion after various persons coming to give us several dates to wards that. Is it the First lady who said Nigerians are lazy......I can't imagine how many of us were lazy when the so called progressives matched and protested against the PGEJ administration and keeping the progressives in hardship. I guess this is the real hardship which the progresisve now in power say we have to endure of which they refused to endure and have refused others to protest against. Nigeria have been turned into a place where people go to market to buy slices of yam rather than tubers of yam, I see recently cut heads of ice fish being packaged and sold in the market for families and households to buy and feed their children and much more and these are things that are alien to us and some demonic supporters will come and tell themselves that it's not as a result of the incumbent administration. |
Kobojunkie:Your continuous misrepresentation and misinterpretation of the Holy Bible in social media platforms and I guess elsewhere is a product of confusion arising from lack of proper understanding be it theoretically, practically, by the letter and spiritually. |
nedu666:He did not know and will not know the solutions to the Nigerian economy and nation. He only did that criticism because he solely sought to see himself become the President of the FRN and nothing more. As he rightly called the removal of subsidy "The Jonathan Tax", he has not only put that in place but he has brought forth more taxes that will make the people to be slaves to the system. A Jonathan tax would have been better than a Tinubu Tax, that is why PBAT is now being refered to as T-pain. Omo, it's very bad. A custard of rice is #10,000 while a bag is #100,000, thanks to PBAT.and his inhuman policies. |
MrPresident1:I'm sure Jesus who spoke those words knowing fully what He meant would not have condemned the actions and ways of the Pharisees and Sadducees(Scribes), those whose responsibility it is to keep and abide by the Law. He would still also not go and destroy the tables of the money exchangers in the temple. He would also know that by telling His disciples and the people to "beware of the leaven of the Scribes" , He would be going against the word that says "touch not my anointed and do My prophets no harm.... It was all these things that Christ Jesus did that got the Scribes to plot His death. Apostle Paul had to call Apostle Peter the G.O of the early Christians and first generation Christians to put away hypocrisy and he did and all was well. It would be an accident for such to happen in our time and age given the manner of believers we are and have become Correction if done in love is the way of God. But when done in the manner to revile then that is not of God and it will incure His wrath. It is said that God hates the sin and not the sinner, but also note that it's the sinner who fails to repent that will be in Hades. Scripture is very clear on when It says ......it's not all who call my name will enter the kingdom of God. For they will say , Master , but we did miracles in Your name, but the Master , will say, I know you not. It is written, let him who is named with Christ depart from iniquity. Do you know there are still same Pharisees and Sadducees in our time and age? Jesus , the same yesterday, today and forever. |
BeeBeeOoh:It is not good enough if whatever himan capital development policy or institutions are put in place and one would still not be able to have a living wage earnings within 21/ 30 days working in any part of the country. Let the government stop all using different platforms to come and say things that they dnt intend to do within the shortest possible time. Any reasonable government should within it's first 2 years in office tackle the issue of the tremendous unemployment in the country. There are three types of unemployment and in levels. The first is the unemployment of not having anything doing. The other is the unemployment of being employed but not gainfully employed. The last employment is the employment of not being paid a living wage. |
BeeBeeOoh:A first time aviation Minister is coming ia coming to tell us no sense. When they have killed the economy and don't know to fix it they look for gullibles to fall for their cheap talks. How many airlines do we have in Nigeria and how many routes do they take and how many airplanes do they have put together? If each airtline has 100 planes,do they have the wherewithal t maintenance same if this village mentality minister wants us to tow his line of comments. |
Kobojunkie:Let it be a fable that is real and living not a fable that is dead. Let those who believe in it be at peace with it and live eternally and not those who would find themselves in Hades. |
adioolayi:A governor who withdrew his counter affidavit from the trial high court, making himself not a party to it now went ahead to appeallate to seek redress......Please on what grounds? Now they are saying he should go to the Supreme Court..... Please on what grounds? All this things people call academic even if it may take time, it will plunge the State into what has never happened before. The judiciary will be forced to enforce their judgment and order and you know what that means... Right??. Now it looks like it's all a kangaroo jamboree for all. |
LordReed:Thanks for the correction. I appreciate. |
adenigga:Irresponsible people in leadership positions. Anyways it's the responsibility of the legislative to speak against it. The minimum wage the FG proposed has not even hit the account of civil servants but they have increased price of PMS multiple times. A government who threatened NLC that they should agree to #70k minimum or otherwise see an increase in price of fuel. Not only have the price of fuel increase but every good and commodity has increased. Even with the completion of an indigenous refinery is still selling PMS like it's an imported product. I wonder how long will Nigerians remain undivided and disunited before these hooliganism practiced by politicians is put away. |
OldBeer:Are you serious ? Modified... Did you even read the info ,only the founding father and leader will remain for life ,every other leader will do either 7 years or 14 years maximum and hand over to another and all this is subject to the decisions of the board of trustees. May the Lord God Almighty open our eyes to that which we have not seen and know that which we ought to know...In Jesus name, Amen. |
Abbypackaging:I wonder whats the current meaning of greed in this admnistration. If your husband and you is not greedy please kindly tell him to on a monthly basis to give out 30% of his earnings as a President to any motherless babies home and give them strict compliance to do the right thing. Observe them.for the first 6 months and look for another and do same till the end of his admnistration. |
InvertedHammer:I think you are getting me completely wrong. That history of the early Christian crusaders and knights of the church who do the bidding of the Pope, etc, etc , can't be erased but that is not the way of the Christian God. It's also same like when some c purported Pastors or so called Christians do evil things and say it was God who told them. I'm sure you have heard some funny stories of such even in Nigeria... Christianity is an individual experience with the One true God through Jesus Christ the only Light and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the spirit of Truth. Anyone who has truly experienced, maintained and given self completely to the true Christian God will find it difficult to do violence. |
BeeBeeOoh:It's either Madam Remi Tinubu is either not living in reality and in some sort of self denial or she does not have a good heart whatsoever because it really shows that most political leaders in this admnisration irrespective of party have really darkened hearts and say no sense things and ill sarcasms. |

Let's assume this case goes in favour of the States. Can it now be said that all those who the EFFC found guilty and even those who served jail term and are out the FG will have to apologize to them both the living and the dead? All those corruption cases of former governors will have to be thrown away and everyone will have to walk around without looking over their shoulders. |
InvertedHammer:The Old Testament talks nothing about Christianity. Irrespective of what is being practiced by religious people, Christ(ianity) remains peace and good will to all mankind. |
God1000:Prof is completely mistaken about what Christianity is for him to categorize it as a religion of violence. |
prizeless:What will he even take to the Supreme Court? I pity the lawyers or SANs and the attorney general of the State on this particularly issue and others related to it. If he does that then it clearly shows he and those advising him have failed totally. |
nairaland94:I have no idea what you are talking... Is that even possible? As it stands according to the most recent court judgment, everything the governor is doing with those 3 HA members is illegal and alien. |
