Reminds me of soul-E. Once he hammered, d sharp artist quickly ran off and built a church. And dat woman-scammer who become 'born-again? When ibori is released, it'll be a gud biz for him since he too has become 'born-again. Church business is serious business. |

bknight: In d words of ayanle, what is d way forward for somalia (any possible solutions?) |
I have a weird interest in somalia. I'd prefer u write with as much sentiment as you wish. I have read abt somalia but u r d first somalian I'd be talking with. In ur own words, what is somalia's problem and how did it all start. I'd like to see pictures of ur landscape, and pictures of ur people also. I'll like to know what much somalia was up to before d war began. In d years much of Africa was colonized where/ what was somalia. A lengthy history won't be bad covering d time of trans-saharan slave trade, to economy of the nation, its politics. What really transpired when d UN arrived mogadishu in 1991 on 'purely' humanitarian purposes that the had to evacuate UN troops out of somalia? What really prevented d warlords from coming to a round-table. In d words of ayanle, what is d way forward for somalia (any possible solutions?) |
Ayanle456 take us downtown history. For we that dont knw much abt ur country and her people, u'd do nice to enlighten us properly. Pls let ur typo be readable. I'm interested. |
Shake it off. |

It literally hurts when some people disappoint with their comments. I wished idowu didn't say that |
but for d derailing, I was gonn share one, and even Op didn't sound any serious in her comments. It wld hv made an amusing thread to follow. |
I cldnt view this thread since, dunno wetin happen. Pendo, in ur opinion, what d foremost thing u wld hv looked out for |
At least you have now known him. What impact? The article says he is of much benefit to people around him. And when on leave his house turns into a learning center. Apparently, his people are proud of him. Cheng quangchenko (the chinese activist?) fought for rights of his fellow local villagers before the world heard of him. To me, Prof has conquered his immediate environment, and people in d larger community will hear of his achievements and get inspired, by that, he has just conquered on a worldwide scale. Empty heads run around downplaying such feat! But prof should have tested d waters of science |
^^ |
@ least, someone got d point I made. Arguments should be with a sense as to finding out what is right, not who is right. |
You've got quite an issue at hand. The bulk of what u gotta do is psychological. If you place emphasis on size of ur dik as being a criterion to happiness, then u hv a long way to go. Then maybe pills. But i thot u said you've learned how to use what u've got? |
Only a man can stop himself from cheating. No one else. |
Ride on singlelady. There r coupla them here, hope u hook-up wit one soon enuf |
Dyt? Jst lyk dat?! |
Gf? I won't stop her from reading messages on my phone. But not picking my calls. I won't even think to read hers. |
While u're at it, be sure to keep ur valuables out of reach while she's visiting. Surveying before action, maybe she'll convince him to make her a spare of ur house key. She def knows how 'cool' ur bro is to date a girl who stole his phone. Trying to imagine his reasons: 'She apologized and promised not to steal again' |
His only crime here is that he wasn't sitting on a mat but on bare floor. But again, did this picture show how dirty/clean the floor was? I know northern public office holders who sit on the floor in their private homes. If I'm president, I pray I don't feel arrogant abt sitting on the floor with my family. Yes, maybe on a wool woven mat. If I went on picnic with my family, what happens? Carry my 22karat gold chair rimmed with diamond studs? So far he didn't rule like france's bourgeois king louis-phillipe, duke of orleans, I don't think I have any problems with his sitting on the floor. As a matter of fact, its not worth the debate. Its to be treated as 'normal', not to be praised nor criticized. His culture/tradition allows him to. And my personal principles allows me to. Poor men want to think and act like the rich. While the rich admire the simple life of the ordinary man. Alexander The Great said of a certain cynic named Digeones Von Sinope: "If I wasn't Alexander (The Great) I should like to be Digeones Von Sinope". Don't confuse modernization with westernization. |
I saw him once in d 90s and looking back now, there really was something weird abt him. RIP Yekini. So long as we remember that tournament in our history, u'll always be remembered. |
'African hero' in the context of being an african? Or in the context of fighting for Africa as a whole? Mandela's achievements remain and revolve around his south africa as fighting for equality among black and white races. But Lidj Tafari's achievement of not allowing his country into foreign hands, in my judgment, exceeds Mandela's. Lidj exhibited the mental liberation we seek for Africa today indicating he wasn't an inferior to the whites. Its unfair to judge both on same scale. In my humble view of Africa vis-a-vis the europeans/americans, Robert Mugabe's even a greater hero. My opinion. Mandela, as a leader, agreed to share his country with foreigners. Overrated! |
In ♍y view, I think d govt makes laws to "protect" citizens' fundamental human rights. A privilege is a special right/advantage that a particular person or group has. Technically, a special right to do or say things without being punished. By this, I do not subscribe to fundamental human right being a 'privilege'. @topic: he may need to, personally, find out d impact of and the extent of Wilson Woodrow's "..'self determination'.." statement after WW I and how he, realizing his mistake, attempted to downplay his words. If a particular behavior is perceived as a 'public nuisance' in any gathering of a people, such behaviors should not be supported. If more percent of america, priding herself as being as a multi-cultural society, disapproves of it, then its terrible of him to support it. America has no way of life. Anything and everything is permissible. If more percentage of their population get hooked on drugs and clamor for legality, their government will oblige them.. for 'votes'. |

Self interest. Self interest drives d US. In d 1980-88 war, US supported iraq in their war against iran supporting what u just said. But when iraq invaded Kuwait where US interest in oil is very high, they got china and russia to stay mute, then backed Kuwait. Individual interests drive the entire world policy. But the americans act like cowards, hiding behind humanitarian purposes and injustice to perpetuate. if not so, one wld want to ask why the US turned blind eye to the Rwandan genocide where the Tutsi tribe was under annihiliation. And why pull forces out of somalia where warlords still hv unresolved issues. After WW II US found themselves in a position of world power urged on by britain. Its obvious they were nnot prepared for it. |
