Careless talk on both sides.

Can you look up Rwanda's history and see how jostling between ethnic firebrands resulted in deaths of up to a million in just a 100 day period.

Dokubo and co can talk tautology all day, but when shite hits the ceiling the common man would pay the price whilst their own families would be in relative safety.

texazzpete: UK version is Qualcomm too. So basically the two biggest markets for Samsung are making do with the quad core version.
I see that...must be a trade off to snag the 4G/LTE market in those 2 countries.

texazzpete: Just picked up my galaxy S4. Seems it's the 'Octa-core' variant Samsung is selling in Nigeria. Benchmarks higher than the Qualcomm versions so i'm not complaining grin

If anyone is interested in picking up a clean Note II for 63k and a clean 32GB S3 for 55k, lemme know grin
Quad core version is US only, everywhere else is octa core.

Just tired of upgrading...only thing that might tip me over is GPL 3 (for dolphin wii) which is still in very early stages.

Apart from that, I think the improvements are just a tad bit marginal.

The amnesty never solved the problem of the Niger Delta. Yet Asari can huff and puff about the possibility of a change in government who will shut down his cash tap.

Watch from 1:20, comapre the palatial living of an ex militant commander to his ex followers and see the reason why cases like this would continue.

viroblaze: Not gotten a first hand and don't need to since the software update of the s4 will go to both the s3 and N2...check reviews, it's quite unwise to go from a note2 to an s4 unless you're on some spending spree... If you got patience, wait for the note 3...
ciphoenix: it's unnatural tongue going from a note size to less than 5" screen
I'll admit I've been busy and not had time to follow up on reviews or comparisons between S4 and Note 2. After much consideration, I don't think I'll be upgrading soon.
And oh yeah, if you're wondering about why a Note 2 still is one of the best, check out some of these guys vids.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria's 'Wealth' Is Over-rated by BlackBaron: 3:33pm On Apr 28, 2013
Always argued this point with a few mates.

Taking into context wealth generated per capita, Nigeria would not feature in the top 10 category. For her population stats, it's just average coupled with the inherently unequal wealth distribution.

Some of the richest per capital would include
Equatorial Guinea
Botswana
SA
Mauritius et al

Numbed and neutered by an inept government.

So bad, our political criminals are being prosecuted abroad for crimes they committed at home.

Wasn't it well known by now that all your leaders only represent their own selfish interests.

Our resident 'Bigots assembly' fired unending salvos at each other for Tinunbu's call, now Ohaneze leader does same.
A poll amongst yourselves would show these leaders do not represent the views of the majority they claim to lead.

It is indeed possible to work for the NHS from a young age.

If you show flair and interest, your NHS trust would take you on with minor roles in the beginning to more advanced levels as you advance in your studies.

It's one of the easiest ways to get in to the National Health Service and quite a few use this route.

Positive story. Wish her all the best.

texazzpete: But there's a 64GB HTC One for around $100 more. When you factor in the fact that you'll pay around $50 for a 48GB memory card (if one exists at that size) then you see it isn't such a bad thing. Plus internal storage is always faster than even a Class 10 sd card.
I meant 32GB card + 16GB internal=48GB.

More cost effective to buy a memory card than buying the one with the memory top range.
Not too fussed bout speed. Class 10 transfer rates are fast enough.
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron: 4:39pm On Apr 08, 2013
texazzpete: People like you are in the minority. The success of the iPhone shows most people don't NEED external storage. I doubt your total storage used is over 32Gb anyway.
Most people who complain about expandable storage buy a 16GB phone and stick in a 16GB or less memory card. Total is 32GB or less!
I may also point out that the internal memory is way faster than even a class 10 microSD card. 99% of Nigerians who use expandable memory use crappy class 4 or class 6 cards. I use a 32GB Class10 card from Sandisk...I am an exception.
As at now, my phone capacity is 48GB. Slapped on a 32GB sd card after only a few hours out of the box cos I was running out of space already. At any given time, I need that extra space which I use to download latest 720P/1080P yet to be released movies after which I upload to my 50GB dropbox cloud storage. My apps also accounts for a hefty storage of the sum total of installed memories. I also got spare memory which I use if I'm out and without the luxury of deleting.

Couple in my extra files, documents et al and see why a phone like HTC One would never be my cup of tea. Those iphone peeps you mention always swoon and curse when they see the media content available on my phone which they never have the luxury of expanding. grin

texazzpete: You cannot compare 2013 phones like the Find 5 and SE Z with the S3 that came out in April 2012. Why not compare with the Galaxy SIV that blows the Find5 and the Xperia Z out of the water with ease...and is pretty much even (or a bit better) than the HTC One?

HTC doesn't have that much cash for the kind of aggressive marketing Samsung can churn out. You know the massive mindshare Samsung won with their Olympics sponsorship? Samsung is VERY rich grin
2012-2013 comparison or not; at present most don't even know what latest better phones there are out there, mention Oppo 5 or SE Z to some and watch out for their blank faces. The S3 still outsells superior flagships even though it is no longer the best.

Truth is even if HTC One might be better, the in-your-face marketing of S4 would well and truly make sure there is no rival to clinch the heart of potential flagship smartphone consumers.
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron: 4:00pm On Apr 08, 2013
HTC only have themselves to blame.

Aesthetics and specs looks top notch, however a device with no external storage will never appeal to people like me.

Their marketing is also just so bland. Bar the few enthusiasts like you and I, quite a chunk of consumers don't even know there are better devices that tip say the S3 off the 'King of android' throne like the Oppo Find 5, SE Z and the HTC One.

Anyway for those who want to get android apps for cheap, You can try Humble Bundle Mobile, lets you pick up varieties of apps under a pay whatever you like model.
You get a download link after successful payment and can then easily download.

Just to clarify, newest don't always = best ala mk812.
I've seen quad core cpu's perform terribly compared to dual core models.

What its important in an hardware is one with supported manufacturers firmware updates. Also ideally look for one with 1080p decoding ability. The latter can be modified through a patch available for xbmc.
If you are into media players, you can seek xbmc alternatives such as Plex.
