PoliticsRe: Igbo And The Governance Of Lagos by BlackBaron: 6:36pm On Aug 11, 2013
I do believe in eligibility of standing for an election in any state of residence as long as you have lived there long enough and whatever criteria.

However, I think the problem is the incessant belling of Lagos as a 'no man's land' is the main issue getting a few worked up. Be it cosmopolitan, I'll not be foolish to tell an indigene his land is now no mans land.
This is Africa where tribes still attach values to their ancestral homeland.

Like play play, I'm seeing a few on both sides goading each other(whom I suppose live in far flung places with no interests at stake) All it take is for just one ingrate to act under emotion and ka-boom!

201 countries all by land.

Go read his account of his visit to Nigeria on his website.
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron:
Must be a slow news day.

Whats the consensus on the new LG G2? Snapdragon 800 and all?

Besides a full speed NDS emulator 'Drastic' just dropped. Everything runs at full speed even on low end devices.
More Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney for me.

Go strike out a contract with innoson.

I see he's got tracks; offer that or his skills to the bomb robot programme. They need 1 badly.

Last of all, apply for a patent, trademarks et al especially if he got any IP on any of the designs.

Lol.

Which one do you work for, the Home Office or Foreign & Commonwealth Office?
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron:
I never use phone cases cos they made already large phones bulkier. I have however learnt my lesson.

Last chance saloon; I now want to compose a compelling oratory letter to Samsung to see if they would budge and hand me a free replacement. grin

Wish me luck. embarassed
PoliticsRe: An Unbiased View Of The Lagos Deportation. by BlackBaron: 9:05pm On Aug 03, 2013
I don't think it was an ethnic issue. The real problem was when ignorance became majority. This came to a head because of goading by both side of the divide.

It wasn't the first time its happened. Nor am I a supporter of forced removal. However, I don't know the dynamics of Lagos. Might be bursting at its seams hence drastic measures. One would have to be Governor to know how to react.
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron: 1:31pm On Aug 03, 2013
Was just a slip of hand. Always kept every single phone of mine in pristine condition. TBH, the fall didn't even look that bad. Had worse falls albeit this time face down.

I think top tier Samsung galaxy's are notorious though. Cost of new screen is close to brand new. My Desire HD was one of a kind, it has somersaulted from pocket, table, sat on, flung and never had a crack. grin Samsung's use of plastic unibody or whatever posh name they called them just doesn't cut it. Premium phones need premium chassis.

Leopantro: E ya, so sorry
It's all good bro.

KazeKage1: sad
Is it still under warranty?
Yes it is. Gonna have to shell out for a new screen. Samsung warranty doesnt cover broken screens.

Looks like a screen only but not sure if digitizer is also affected.
S pen and touch still works well.
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron: 9:12pm On Aug 02, 2013
Sad day people.

My Note II dropped just few mins ago and my screen cracked. Distance was just from my knee to the ground.

A decade of chaos and death.

How come they never have/had him on a Criminal Wanted List? Simple clerical option, would have spared a lot of man hours and lives indirectly over the years.

Editing the system files will change a phone for you....
But most phones out there as an option todo that....
I also know that some apps kn the playstore will archive that for you but note.... BACKUP b4 you try such apps
Thanks.

I was able to install fonts without tampering with hidden file directories. Apparently, you can install directly on Samsung phones using the ifont app.

I've now installed over 20 of the best 3rd party fonts available for use on my phone.

Anyone ever tried installing custom fonts on android;
TTF and OFT formats?
PoliticsRe: Massob, Aka-Ikenga Condemn The Deportation Of Igbos From Lagos by BlackBaron: 5:07pm On Jul 31, 2013
Bournvitanisha: Perfect description .

The same Ibos rejoiced on different social sites that Fashola deported Yorubas from Lagos to Ogun , Osun, etc

Other nationalities need to stand up to the pathetic whine and cries of the Ibos. They believe that by crying marginalization and hate, they can get the special treatments. NO!!!

MASSOBS is useless as can be anyway.......what have they done for Ibos since their formation? Apart from noise making?

Where was MASSOBs when Abia (Igbo state) state fired Non-Abian workers?
Take a chill pill bro. It's just an analogy. No need for the generalised attacks.

'most' prefer to keep quiet until it happens to them. Explains the state of Nigeria where everyone keeps the status quo because it doesn't affect them until their time comes

I'll summarise this whole episode.

'First they kicked out the northerners and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a northerner.

Then they kicked out the South Westerners and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a South Westerner.

And then they came for me (them)...'
PhonesRe: Android, Anyone? Part II by BlackBaron:
I read an article yesterday about android fragmentation and its effects.

11868 distinct android devices in existence (including that pesky tecno)

8 android versions still in use.

A rather demure 37.8% on Jelly bean compared to 97% on ios 6 for Apple.

The big story is Samsung effectively dominates with 47.5% with the SIII, SII, Note II and S4 been the market leaders in that order.

I have come to a conclusion those that justify cheating are suffering from a curious case of culturally constructed mental disorder.

They always seek excuses to justify their inadequacies.

I really want to line up and cane every architect in this country. (Joke)
Enough of this bland Lego-esque buildings.

Nevertheless, it doesn't detract that its an hospital built for the good of their community.

mhozzis: Someone did the initial research and put it online so others can google and get the information. would it be bad if u you share also so when next another person searches the net there will be more results.
I found the website directly myself. I can assure you you've never heard of this before. Besides I'm wary about releasing to all as it seems to be a small donation based vpn service lest the weight of 1 million Nigerians bring it down.

The clue is in doing your own research, its very easy to find on Google instead of depending on loopholes all network providers are well aware of.

Hows the progress on that Ppsspp emulator.
Need to play 3rd Birthday, GOW, & Dante's inferno.

Meanwhile I stick to nds4droid playing Phoenix Wright and NSMB. Runs at 55-60 fps on Note 2 with sound. Video of a new emu (drastic) coming out soon promises full speed for even low end devices.

About the internet thingy, I know of a free VPN no strings attached service but then knowing Nigerians to soil every oshofree I'll never release it.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Dumps Beggars, Homeless In Onitsha by BlackBaron: 8:26am On Jul 25, 2013
Note to self.

'Never build a property outside your state of origin unless you can bear the loss.'
Africans generally still hold on to their ancestral lands as a form of identity.

When push comes to shove, those running their hosts ragged would teleport or carry their properties on their heads back to wherever their ancestors came from.
PoliticsRe: Etsu Nupe Accused Of Forcefully Converting People To Islam by BlackBaron:
AbdH: Isn't it obvious that the girl refuses to follow her dad home because she knows how intolerant her Christian dad is of people of other faith..whether they are family or not?
Christians say that Muslims don't want to be Christians because they will be killed by Muslims while I believe that Christians don't want to be Muslims because they will either be killed or turned to outcasts by Christians.
I still maintain that Muslims are more tolerant than Christians and I advise that the girl should not go with her dad unless she wants to die in regret.
A dad is asking for the return of his daughter and this is what you come up with?
I'll indulge this troll for a bit.
As far as I know there is no crime for apostasy in Christendom. You can somersault in and out if you so wish.

However, I'm sure if the daughter of an imam or sheik's conversion came to widespread notice. The daggers would be out with the obligatory death threats and maybe disownment from her family.
Besides its not rocket science, common knowledge by now what results google would show when asked about who is liable to be killed for conversion.
